The performance of photovoltaic systems could be affected by various factors including installing conditions of modules, and their own efficiencies of solar cells and inverters. The installing conditions of a photovoltaic system including array types, tilting angles, azimuth, locations, quantities of sunshine, optimum angles of inclination and separated distance are analyzed using the SolarPro & Minitep SW simulation program, inorder to set up the installing conditions for improving system performance. The result from the simulation of the 500kWp PV system of Kochang with optimal installing conditions compared with normal conditions shows that the capacity factor has been increased from 11.02% to 12.06%.

In this paper, we propose to investigate the existing EPL education related studies and to collect the total effect size for the improvement of high-level thinking through meta-analysis and to confirm the effect size according to various variables. So, we have objectively identified and generalized the practical effects of EPL education on the various elements of high-level thinking and high-level thinking. The results of the meta-analysis showed that 1) EPL is a teaching-learning tool that greatly improves students' high-level thinking. 2) Education based EPL has greatly contributed to the enhancement of creative thinking and logical thinking among high-level thinking. 3) Kodu, App Inventor, Scratch, and Dolittle was confirmed that the effect on the improvement of high-level thinking was great.
The completeness appraisal of software is performed in various forms, such as assessing the completion level in the development process, calculating the defect rate, estimating the development cost, and calculating the redevelopment cost. Along with this, the problem that is often dealt with is estimation of the development time. Even in a dispute over completeness due to delays in software development, issues of calculating an appropriate development time required to develop a delivery software or a development time required for change requests are often included in the appraisal request. In this paper, we introduce the procedure and method for estimating the appropriate project time of software development so that the appraiser can be applied to the appraisal work for determining the completeness. The method is based on the manual for calculating the appropriate project period of software development project.

Based on the recent consensus on the need for software education, software education has become mandatory in universities in Korea. However, the suitability of class contents and the relationship between class contents and learner satisfaction has not been fully discussed. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed the suitability of the contents used in the basic software education for the humanities students from the learner's perspective. For this purpose, three types of curriculum, which are 'computer science', 'usage of tools, and humanities in the digital world' and 'computational thinking', were compared using the lecture assessment questionnaire. As a result, we found that the learners evaluated positively over the curriculum that focused on the use of tools, the humanities approach, or the thinking ability rather than the theoretical contents of computer science. We also found that the subjects related to computer science could not give high satisfaction due to their unfamiliarity, relatively low academic value was given to the tool-centered curriculum, and fatigue was expressed in discussion-based thinking ability education.
This study investigated the sensory characteristics and antioxidative activity of the reduced salt dried bulgogi bibimbap containing AF-343, a dandelion-derived compound extract. A sample with a 30% reduced salt had a sodium amount of 659.01 mg, which was significantly lower than that of the sample before the reduction (p<0.05). The textural hardness of the SW (Standard sample with the AF-343), showed the lowest value of $1.03N/cm^2$, indicating that the AF-343-containing sample could have a slightly softer texture than the non-containing sample. In the analytical sensory test, the AF-343-containing samples showed a synergistic effect on the aroma and flavor of bulgogi, with values of 5.7 and 8.4, respectively, which were significantly higher than that of the non-containing sample group (4.3 and 4.4, respectively). The hardness by the sensory test was slightly hard with values of 7.2-8.1 in all samples, indicating that textural improvement was needed. In the acceptance test, all the samples scored with slightly lower values of 4-5 points, highlighting the need for future studies to improve the sensory characteristics of dried bibimbap. The flavonoid contents of AF-343-containing SW and RW sample groups were 68.21 and 64.31 mg GAE/100 g, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the samples without AF-343 (49.06 and 44.82 mg GAE/100 g, respectively) (p<0.05). The ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging activities were similar to those of the flavonoid contents. As a result, in the production of AF-343-containing reduced-salt dried bulgogi bibimbap, more study on the textural improvement will be needed to achieve better palatability.

Nowadays, interest in health care is increasing due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), and a lot of people are doing home training as there are more difficulties in using fitness centers and public facilities that are used together. In this paper, we propose a personalized exercise recommendation algorithm using personalized propensity information to provide more accurate and meaningful exercise recommendation to home training users. Thus, we classify the data according to the criteria for obesity with a k-nearest neighbor algorithm using personal information that can represent individuals, such as eating habits information and physical conditions. Furthermore, we differentiate the exercise dataset by the level of exercise activities. Based on the neighborhood information of each dataset, we provide personalized exercise recommendations to users through a dimensionality reduction algorithm (SVD) among model-based collaborative filtering methods. Therefore, we can solve the problem of data sparsity and scalability of memory-based collaborative filtering recommendation techniques and we verify the accuracy and performance of the proposed algorithms.

Since November 1990, observations of carbon monoxide(CO) levels have been carried out at Tat-ahn Peninsula(TAP) in Korea. Analysis on atmospheric data, obtained in the period from November 1990 to February 1992, is carried out and the results are included in this study. It is observed that variations of monthly average level on CO are in the range of 141.61-516.06ppb(amplitude 374.45 ppb). An average level in 1991 is 308.18 ppb. CO observed at TAP has a larger seasonal variation. One of reasons appears that CO of TAP is strongly influenced by local sources and westerly airflows. When this gas of TAP is compared with data observed at Korea National University of Education(KNU) and in Seoul, we learn that CO values of KNU are higher(in average 2.15 times) than those of TAP; CO value observed in Seoul are 7 times higher than those of TAP. We interprete that air samples taken both at KNU and in Seoul are influenced strongly by local sources than those at TAP. According to analysis of trajectories and air flows, the CO value is higher with NW airflows than the value with SW airflows.
The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) has designed a Hybrid-Low Power Research Reactor (H-LPRR) which can be used for critical assembly and conventional research reactor as well. It is an open tank-in-pool type research reactor (Thermal Power: 50 kWth) of which the most important applications are Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA), Radioisotope (RI) production, education and training. There are eight irradiation holes on the edge of the reactor core: IR (6 holes for RI production) and NA (2 holes for NAA) holes. In order to quantify the elemental concentration in target samples through the Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA), it is necessary to measure neutron spectrum parameters such as thermal neutron flux, the deviation from the ideal 1/E epithermal neutron flux distribution (α), and the thermal-to-epithermal neutron flux ratio (f) for the irradiation holes. In this study, the MCNP6.1 code and FORTRAN 90 language are applied to determine the parameters for the two irradiation holes (NA-SW and NA-NW) in H-LPRR, and in particular its α and f parameters are compared to values of other research reactors. The results confirmed that the neutron irradiation holes in H-LPRR are designed to be sufficiently applied to neutron activation analysis, and its performance is comparable to that of foreign research reactors including the TRIGA MARK II.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality of life related to swallowing through Swallowing-Quality Of Life(SWAL-QOL) and examine the impact of SWAL-QOL on overall quality of life measured by Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36) and Geriatric Quality of Life(GQOL). For this purpose, the SWAL-QOL, SF-36 and GQOL have been conducted on 140 old people who were all over 60 years of age and physically and mentally normal. The collected data have been analyzed using a Windows SPSS 21.0 program. The results show that the SWAL-QOL are significant differences according to age(F=7.76, p<.01) and aspiration(t=-4.44, p<.01) and aspiration is ouly factor affecting the SW AL-QOL in elderly people. There are significant correlations between SF-36, GQOL and SW AL-QOL and the pearson product moment correlation coefficient is .39(p<.01) and .33(p<.01) respectively. The SWAL-QOL can predict approximately 36% and 25% of quality of life measured by SF-36 and GQOL. Therefore, this result will be able to utilize as basic data to improvement of quality of life related swallowing and overall quality of life related to health in normal elderly people.

Background: The present study was designed to prepare and find the optimum active preparation or fraction from Korea Red Ginseng inhibiting matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) expression, because MMP-13 is a pivotal enzyme to degrade the collagen matrix of the joint cartilage. Methods: From total red ginseng ethanol extract, n-BuOH fraction (total ginsenoside-enriched fraction), ginsenoside diol-type-enriched fraction (GDF), and ginsenoside triol-type-enriched fraction (GTF) were prepared, and ginsenoside diol type-/F4-enriched fraction (GDF/F4) was obtained from Panax ginseng leaf extract. Results: The n-BuOH fraction, GDF, and GDF/F4 clearly inhibited MMP-13 expression compared to interleukin-$1{\beta}$-treated SW1353 cells (human chondrosarcoma), whereas the total extract and ginsenoside diol-type-enriched fraction did not. In particular, GDF/F4, the most effective inhibitor, blocked the activation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK), c-Jun-activated protein kinase (JNK), and signal transducer and activator of transcription-1/2 (STAT-1/2) among the signal transcription pathways involved. Further, GDF/F4 also inhibited the glycosaminoglycan release from interleukin-$1{\alpha}$-treated rabbit cartilage culture (30.6% inhibition at $30{\mu}g/mL$). Conclusion: Some preparations from Korean Red Ginseng and ginseng leaves, particularly GDF/F4, may possess the protective activity against cartilage degradation in joint disorders, and may have potential as new therapeutic agents.
