증자처리에 의한 갈대 식용가능 부위(어린순과 뿌리)의 이화학적 특성 (Physiochemical property of edible tissues (sprout and root) of steam-treated reed)

  • 본 연구는 갈대의 이용 가치성을 높이고자 수행하였으며, 갈대 부위와 증자 처리에 의한 이화학적 특성 변화를 조사하였다. 이에 따른 결과는 아래와 같다. 수분은 무증자 처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 어린순이 뿌리 보다 높았다. 조회분은 무증자처리 시료에서는 어린순이 증자처리 시료에서는 뿌리가 높은 함량을 보였고, 조단백질 함량은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리시료 모두 어린순이 뿌리 보다 높았다. 조지방은 무증자처리 시료에서 어린순과 뿌리의 함량이 0.67%이었으나, 증자처리 시료에서 어린순이 뿌리보다 비교적 높은 함량을 보였고, 조섬유 함량은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 어린순이 뿌리 보다 높았다. 가용성무질소물은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 뿌리가 어린순에 비해 2배 이상 높은 함량을 보였다. 유리당 총 함량은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 뿌리가 어린순 보다 높은 함량을 보였으며, 유기산 또한 유리당과 같은 경향을 나타내었다. 무기성분은 어린순과 뿌리 모두 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 Ca과 K의 함량이 높게 나타났다. 갈대의 총 유리아미노산은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료 모두 어린순이 뿌리보다 높았으며, 이중 serine이 주요 아미노산으로 나타났다. vitamin C 함량은 무증자처리 시료에서 어린순이 61.74 mg%로 뿌리의 4.54mg% 보다 높은 함량을 나타내었고, 증자처리 시료에서는 함량이 감소하였으나 어린순이 뿌리보다 높은 함량을 보였다. Total polyphenol 함량은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리시료 모두 어린순이 높은 함량을 보였다. DPPH free radical scavenging activity은 무증자처리 시료와 증자처리 시료를 비교 할 때 크게 차이는 나지 않았으나, 뿌리가 어린순에 비해 높은 활성을 보였다.

지질 관련 야외 학습과 STEAM 교육을 융합한 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과 (The Development and Application Effects of Convergence Program for Field Trip and STEAM Education related Geology)

  • In this study, a theme-centered STEAM program converged with field trip was developed in the 'The stratum and fossils' unit of elementary science. The objectives were to find the influences on academic achievement, creative problem solving abilities and scientific attitude of elementary school students. The STEAM education program was composed of content which can be applied effectively by converging field trip and STEAM elements. As the results applied the STEAM program to elementary school students, the experimental group improved effectively in the academic achievement, creative problem solving abilities and scientific attitude compared to the control group, which took the theoretical lesson. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop systematically and continuously programs converging STEAM and field trip in various units of science subject which field trip is possible.

2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서 및 교사용 지도서의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용 분석 (An Analysis of 2009 Revised Elementary Mathematics 6th Grade Textbooks and Teacher's Manuals Based on STEAM-related Subject Contents)

  • 2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서와 교사용 지도서를 대상으로 수학적 지식 외에 어떤 STEAM 관련 교과의 내용을 포함하고 있는지 단원별, 학기별, 수학내용 영역별로 분석하였는데 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단원별, 수학내용 영역별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 전체적으로 스토리텔링 자료가 제일 많았고, 기술공학, 자연과학, 사회 교과 내용 순으로 많이 분석되었으나, 문화, 체육, 음악, 미술 관련 교과 내용은 매우 적었다. 둘째, 학기별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서가 수학 6-1 교과서보다 61개가 많았으며, 스토리텔링을 제외한 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서에서는 107개, 수학 6-1 교과서에서는 39개로 수학 6-2 교과서에서의 개수가 수학 6-1 교과서에서 보다 약 2.7배 많았다. 셋째, 수학 6-1 교사용 지도서는 수학 6-1 교과서에서 STEAM 관련 교과 내용이 부족한 단원들을 잘 보완하지 못했으나, 수학 6-2 교사용 지도서에서는 수학 6-2교과서에서 부족한 단원들을 비교적 잘 보완한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 수학 6-1, 6-2 교과서와 교사용 지도서에서 수학이외의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수가 단원별, 수학내용 영역별, 학기별로 차이가 심하므로 다양한 STEAM 자료의 개발이 요구된다.

초등학교 교사들의 융합인재교육(STEAM)에 대한 인식 연구 (A Study of the Elementary School Teachers' Perception in STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigation the elementary school teachers' perception in STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Education. For this study, 93 elementary school teachers who have taught mathematics/science in gifted class were selected and a fifteen items questionnaire designed to elicit teachers' perception of steam education was to administered to them. The major findings are as follows: First, the ratio of teachers who understood a steam education exactly is very low. But teachers have positive thoughts about the need of steam education. Second, teachers thought that steam education has a good effect on elementary education. Third, teachers thought that steam education will be an alternative teaching and learning method. Fourth, teachers have negative thoughts to participate in class work related on steam education. To improve negative attitudes on steam education, incentives for teachers seems to be required. In order to spread steam education among the elementary school teachers successfully, the expansion of school facilities, administrators and staff in mind, improving financial support, strengthening education through the development of content and teaching strategies were analyzed as a challenge.

융합인재교육(STEAM)에 대한 유아교사의 인식 및 활성화 방안 (Early Childhood Teachers' Perception of STEAM and Activation Measures for STEAM)

  • Objective: This study aims to investigate early childhood teachers' perception of STEAM and suggest activation measures for STEAM according to teachers' background variables. Methods: The researchers conducted a pilot study, and then did survey research for 5 weeks. The participants of this study included 523 teachers of early childhood education institutions in Gwangju metropolitan city and Jeollanam-do Province. Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, early childhood teachers perceived the necessity of STEAM differently according to their age, experience, and academic background. The higher their age, experience, and academic background were, the more they wanted to participate in further teacher training and education. In particular, early childhood teachers' perception and activation measures were very different according to their workplace. These results come from the fact that the conditions in conducting STEAM are different according to their workplace. Conclusion/Implications: In order to activate STEAM, a teacher training program including practical contents and methods should be conducted. Also, it is necessary to carefully organize the content and structure of the teacher training program according to their workplace. This study is meaningful in terms of suggesting activation measures for STEAM by showing how early childhood teachers think about STEAM and what they demand.

대단면 수심정각재 건조를 위한 포화-과열증기 연속 건조 공정의 이용가능성 평가 (Applicability of Continuous Process Using Saturated and Superheated Steam for Boxed Heart Square Timber Drying)

  • 본 연구에서는 대단면 목재의 건조를 위해 포화증기와 과열증기를 연속 적용하는 공정의 이용 가능성을 평가해보고자 하였다. 낙엽송 수심 정각재를 건조하는 동안 표면층, 내부층 및 중심층의 슬라이스 시험편을 통해 함수율 변화를 확인한 결과 포화증기 건조 중에는 표면층과 내부층 사이에서, 과열증기 건조 중에는 내부층과 중심층 사이에서 함수율 경사가 크게 발생하였다. 하지만 각 슬라이스 층간의 함수율 경사에도 불구하고, 표면 할렬은 발생하지 않았으며, 내부 할렬은 수나 미성숙재 부근에서만 발생하였다. 슬라이스의 탄성 변형률과 낙엽송의 접선 방향 탄성계수를 통해 건조 중인 낙엽송 정각재의 건조 응력의 최댓값은 1.30 MPa이었고, 건조 응력이 최대인 시점 온도와 함수율 조건에서 낙엽송의 접선 방향 인장강도는 5.21 MPa로 추산된다. 즉, 포화증기 및 과열증기를 연속 건조 공정에서 목재의 건조 응력이 접선 방향 인장강도를 초과하지 않았기 때문에 표면에서 할렬이 발생하지 않았다. 내부 할렬 발생 억제를 위한 과열증기 건조 조건 완화와 같은 추가 연구를 통해 포화-과열증기 연속 건조 공정이 대단면 목재 건조에 이용 가능할 것이라 기대된다.

Effects of Steam Treatment on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Bamboo Oriented Strand Board

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the properties of bamboo oriented strand board (B-OSB) from andong (Gigantochloa psedoarundinacea) and betung (Dendrocalamus asper) with and without steam treatment. Strands were steam-treated at $126^{\circ}C$ for 1 h under 0.14 MPa pressure. The extractive content of bamboo strands before and after steam treatment were determined according to a standard (TAPPI T 204 om-88). Three-layer B-OSB with the core layer perpendicular to the surface and back layers were formed and binded with 8% of phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin with the addition of 1% of wax. The evaluation of physical and mechanical properties of the boards were conducted in accordance with the JIS A 5908:2003 standard. The results showed that steam treatment of bamboo strands significantly reduced the extractive content. Steam treatment tended to increase the dimensional stability and mechanical properties of B-OSB from andong and betung. The results showed that the dimensional stability and bending strength of B-OSB from betung was higher than those of andong. The internal bond strength of B-OSB from andong was higher than betung owing to a greater amount of extractives dissolved during the steam treatment.

TPACK 기반 테크놀로지 활용 STEAM 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과 - 순환 기관을 중심으로 - (Development and Application Effect of STEAM Program Using Technology Based on TPACK - Focused on the Circulatory System -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM program using technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) model to effectively utilize technology to solve the difficulties in the teaching of 'structure and function of our body' unit in the primary science curriculum and to confirm the effect on the academic achievement, creative problem solving ability and scientific interests of elementary students. The program was developed as the STEAM program of the 8th class by utilizing the construction knowledge of the TPACK model. The developed program was applied to 29 experimental group students in 5th grade. And the textbook-oriented circulatory system learning program was applied to 29 5th graders in the same school. As a result of the application of the program, the experimental group showed significant improvement over the comparison group in its creative problem solving ability and scientific interests, and the satisfaction of the class was also high. This caused a positive effect on students because the process of self-directing information about the circulatory system using smart devices, making outputs creatively using 3D printers, and presenting them through role play using produced outputs.

고온 증기를 이용한 잎담배의 팽화연구 (Method for expanding tobacco leaves with steam at high temperature and velocity)

  • A study of expanding tobacco includes the steps of adjusting the moisture content of cut tobacco, without the use of exogenous impregnants by contacting the filler with a high velocity gaseous medium at elevated temperature such that heat is rapidly and substantially uniformly transferred from the medium to the filler for a total contact time sufficient to expand the tobacco leaves. Study is disclosed for drying and expanding cut tobacco by introducing the tobacco into an elongated tubular shaped conduit through which steam high temperature 150-35$0^{\circ}C$ and high velocity above the 18m1sec, super steam is recycled. moisture content of shreded tobacco leaves, immediately before treatment within the range of from 10% to 24% and, most preferably, within the range of from 18% to 21%. Expanding rate showed 70% in NC -82(B.3) and 42% in Burley -21(B.1) which is produced in 1993 under this condition. When expanding tobacco expanded tobacco did not change significally, but they were decreased at 27$0^{\circ}C$ very largely. The curtailment of cost price and physical and chemical properties of various items were improved in cigarettes. 스마트미디어 기반의 '닭의 한살이' 융합인재교육(STEAM) 수업이 초등학생의 학업성취도, 과학 탐구 능력 및 정의적 영역에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Smart Media Based STEAM Program of 'Chicken Life Cycle' on Academic Achievement, Scientific Process Skills and Affective Domain of Elementary School Students)

  • This paper examines the effects on academic achievement, scientific process skills and affective domain for elementary students learning the 'Chicken life cycle' through traditional science class versus a smart media based STEAM approach. Students designed and built a hatching jar and created a smart media content for chickens using time-lapse technology. This STEAM program was developed to improve their scientific concepts of animals over nine periods of classes using integrated education methods. The experimental study took place in the third grade of public schools in a province, with the STEAM approach applied in 2 classes (44 students) and the traditional discipline approach implemented in 2 classes (46 students). The STEAM education significantly influenced the improvement of academic achievements, basic scientific process skills and affective domain. The results suggest that this STEAM approach for teaching scientific concepts of animal life cycles has the performance in terms of knowledge, skills and affect gain achievements in elementary school students' learning when compared to a traditional approach. Moreover, the smart media based STEAM program is helpful to lead students to engage in integrated problem-solving designs and learning science and technology.
