스위칭 각의 변화에 따른 SRM 전자기적 특성 및 진동 특성 분석 (Analysis of Vibrating and Electromagnetic Performance According to Switching Angle in SRM)

  • Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has been not commonly used because of the severe noise and vibration, although it has many advantages as solidity and economical efficiency. The origin of the acoustic noise and vibration in SRM's can be broadly classified into two types, mechanical and magnetic. Therefore this paper verifies the origin of vibration induced by radial magnetic forces from various experiments, and then studies the relationship between the output and vibration characteristics of SRM according to switch-on and off angles. Acceleration, torque and efficiency is measured by changing switching angles. From the comparison and analysis of the experimental results, a proper switching angle is presented for both satisfying electric performance and reducing vibration.

Design and Analysis of Rolled Rotor Switched Reluctance Motor

  • In the conventional SRM with multi-rotor teeth, the air gap must be very small in order to drive the SRM in the saturation region that is necessary for high output torque. However, this leads to the problem of overheating; particularly in the case of a small-size SRM This paper discusses the design of a new type of SRM, namely the rolled rotor SRM. This new type does not require more than a single region of a very small airgap. This solves the overheating problem in the small size SRM. Moreover, the use of the rolled rotor, instead of the conventional toothed rotor, grades the airgap region in a fashion that gives a smooth variation in the reluctance and smooth shapes of both current and torque. The latter functional behavior is required in many applications such as servo applications. The paper first addresses general design steps of the rolled rotor SRM then proceeds to the simulation results of the new SRM in order to evaluate the advantages gained from the new design. In addition, this paper compares the torque ripples obtained from the new design to its equivalent conventional one.

  • 본 논문은 차량용 Built-in 청소기용 SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) 드라이브 시스템 개발에 대하여 설명한다. 기존의 청소기용 모터는 대부분 영구자석을 사용하는 PMSM 또는 BLDCM이다. 그러나 영구자석의 주 원료인 희토류 광물가격의 상승으로 인해 영구자석형 모터를 대체할 비 희토류 모터(SRM)에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제작된 차량용 Built-in 청소기용 SRM의 유한요소해석 데이터를 바탕으로 한 Matlab/Simulink 시뮬레이션 및 실제 실험을 통하여 가능성을 검증하였다.

  • In recent years, the switched reluctance motor have been used many industrial application because of its cost advantage. SRM drivers are accomplished by switching the phase currents on and off synchronously with the rotor position which is fed back to the controller by position may deteriorate in harsh environments and increase the size and cost of the SRM drive system. This paper proposes a position sensorless method that is based on impressed pulse voltage using impressed at unenergised phases to estimate the rotor position. The current value by impressed pulse voltage compare with the threshold value. The rotor position can be estimated by observing the current value. Finally, simulation results compare with the sensor type SRM and confirm the proposed method to be useful.

  • The single phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) is simpler in control circuit because the number of switching devices is fewer than the poly phase SRM. The energy density per unit volume is very big because all stator poles are excited simultaneously by a single switching power source. But it must be provided a starting device on account of not being generated the starting torque at specific rotor positions. And also it has some demerits that have a torque ripple, noise and vibration because of being excited by switching pulse power source. Therefore, to make up for these demerits, it is realized many studies for the structure design used by computer and the operating methods by power electronics technique. In this paper, we'll present the comparison of the single phase SRM with the various rotor pole face types, as like stepped rotor pole face type and general rotor pole face type.   • This paper introduces a complete package for SRM drive on Power System Computer-Aided Design/Electromagnetic Transients (PSCAD/EMTDC). A three-phase SRM drive is modeled and simulated on PSCAD. The motor is modeled using an accurate nonlinear analytical model that takes into consideration the machine nonlinearities. A current control algorithm is applied for torque ripple minimization to achieve a smooth output torque which is necessary for high performance applications. The motor drive is tested for four-quadrant operations. The modeled SRM is capable of operating as a motor or generator during clockwise and counterclockwise motions. The proposed package helps in understanding the operational principles of switched reluctance motors, investigating the dynamic characteristics of SRM drives, and achieving a high performance dynamic control task.

  • This paper is to research about design and drive system of a switched reluctance motor for a pallet truck application. SRM is suitable for a pulse type source and is researched for home and industrial applications owing to the advance of power electronics technology. An SRM for a pallet truck drive is developed and tested. The drive system has to operate with low voltage and high current. The small size, robustness and high efficiency make it possible to replace with DC motor which is used in a pallet truck conventionally. Test results show that pallet truck with SRM has better drive characteristics than that of the DC motor.

  • Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) offers the advantages of simple and robust motor construction, high speeds and high efficiencies over a wide operating range of torque and speed, excellent controllability. However, SRM has the disadvantages of high current harmonics, and low power factor because of a capacitor filter is inserted in the power converter and inductance of SRM is high, it has pulse waveform of current. This paper deals with an energy efficient converter fed SRM system with the reduced harmonics and improved power factor and with higher efficiency. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified via experiment. We are implemented the proposed control system using 80C196KC micro-controller.

  • The single phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) is more simpler and robust in the structure than poly phase SRM. It has the merits that it reduces the switching elements and the energy density per volume is very high. Recently, it has been researched and developed in various types and starting method due to the technique of power electronics and the computer added design. This paper presents a analytical representation of the phase inductance of a single phase SRM, as function of position and current, taking into account the non-linearity of the magnetic circuit. the method is based on Fourier series expansion. Analytical expressions for the calculation of instantaneous phase inductance, flux linkage, coenergy and electromagnetic torque as a function of rotor position and winding currents are derived.

  • 본 논문에서는 역기전력을 이용하여 단상 스위치드 릴럭턴스 모터의 회전자 위치 추정법과 구동 법을 제안한다. 단상 SRM은 일반 모터와 비교하여 구조가 매우 간단하고 3상 모터와 비교하여 권선결선이 간결하며, 스위칭 소자가 적게 사용되므로 드라이버회로가 간단하여 가격이 저렴한 특징을 가지고 있다. 이러한 SRM을 구동하기위해서는 필수적으로 회전자의 위치정보를 알아야 한다. 일반적으로 회전자의 위치를 검출하기 위하여 회전자 위치센서를 사용한다. 그러나 대부분의 위치 센서들은 복잡하고 시스템에 구축비용을 증가 시킬 뿐만 아니라 구동시스템의 신뢰도를 저하시키는 경향이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 역기전력을 이용한 회전자의 특정위치 검출방법을 제안하였으며 이에 적합한 스위칭을 통해 SRM을 구동하였다. 또한 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 제안한 방법의타당성을 검증하였다.
