색상의 포화 및 탈색현상 방지를 위한 CIE 1976 u'v' 색도 좌표에서의 SPA를 이용한 화질개선 시스템 (Picture Quality Improvement System to prevent the Saturation and Decoloration using Skin Protection Algorithm(SPA) on CIE 1976 u'v' Chromaticity Coordinates)

  • 화질개선 시스템은 디스플레이 기술의 발달로 인한 사용자들의 요구사항을 만족시키기 위하여 많은 개발이 되어왔다. 대부분의 화질개선 시스템들은 모든 입력 색상에 대한 색도 변환을 수행하여 일부 색상에서 왜곡현상이 발생되는 문제점이 존재하였다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 피부색 보호 알고리즘(Skin Protection Algorithm, SPA)을 이용한 화질개선 시스템이 제안되었다. 하지만, 기존의 화질개선 시스템은 단방향으로 색상 강조를 수행함에 따라 색상의 포화 및 탈색현상을 방지할 수 없다는 단점이 존재하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CIE 1976 u'v' 색도 좌표계에서 SPA를 적용한 색도 변환 시 입력 영상의 밝기 정보에 따라 적응적으로 색도 확장 및 축소를 동시에 수행 하도록 하였다. 42장의 테스트 영상으로 기존 시스템과의 RGB Gamut 변화율을 비교함으로써 제안한 화질개선 시스템의 성능을 확인하였다.

LTE 기반 차량용 V2X 통신단말에 대한 신호 교차로 C-ITS 메시지의 타이밍 데이터 최적화 기법 (Timing Data Optimize of Traffic Intersection C-ITS Message Set for LTE-based V2X in-vehicle Devices)

  • Recently, the introduction of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) has been attempted to solve the limitation of only the sensor of the vehicle itself. For example, vehicles traveling at intersections can drive more safely through C-ITS. By using V2X communication of WAVE and LTE, the driver can receive the status and time of traffic lights. However, LTE has a larger transmission delay time than WAVE, so timimg data may not match in real time. In this paper, using the SPaT message, it was confirmed that LTE has a larger C-ITS service transmission delay time than WAVE. Finally, it was confirmed that the timing data of SPaT provided by LTE corrected by the algorithm is similar to SPaT provided by WAVE. It was confirmed that safer intersection driving is possible based on real-time.

  • The accurate prediction of modal parameters of a rotating blade is an important requirement in the assessment of the dynamics of a helicopter rotor. Indeed, predictions of flight loads and stability are normally dependent on initially predicting the undamped mode shapes. A measuring technique, known as Strain Pattern Analysis (SPA), appears to be the most successful technique for measuring the mode shapes of rotating blades. This method was developed to be used on actual aircraft so no attempt was made to measure rotating mode shapes directly in order to validate the SPA method. This report summarizes results from experimental investigations which were carried out to validate the SPA method for the prediction of aerodynamically damped modes of a rotating blade. A series of modal tests were carried out on two rotor models in which the non-rotating, undamped and aerodynamically damped rotating modes were measured directly (strain and displacement patterns). It is shown that the SPA method to be very successful in itself but there are a number of limitations in validating this technique. To provide data which could be used to confidently validate theoretical prediction codes, existing limitations should be addressed.

우리나라에서 발생하는 딸기 바이러스병(2007-2008) (Strawberry Virus Diseases Occurring in Korea, 2007-2008)

  • Virus disease surveys of strawberries cultivated and preserved as germplasm resources in Korea was conducted during 2007-2008. Virus detection was conducted by RT-PCR using total RNAs extracted from strawberry samples. We detected the infection with Strawberry mild yellow edge virus (SMYEV), Strawberry mottle virus (SMoV), Strawberry vein banding virus (SVBV) and Strawberry pallidosis associated virus (SPaV) while no infection with Strawberry crinkle virus (SCV), Strawberry necrotic shock virus (SNSV), Strawberry latent ring spot virus (SLRSV) and Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) was observed. The infection rate of virus disease on 4 cultivars including Seolhyang, Maehyang, Gumhyang, and Dahong, bred in Korea, was 0.1, 1.9, 0, and 0%, respectively. Surprisingly, however, cultivar Red Peal introduced from Japan in 1997 revealed 48.3% virus infection rate. SMYEV, SMoV and SPaV were also identified in strawberries growing in the farm fields of Korea. In the field, however, SMYEV was the most predominant virus (97.4%) among those 3 identified viruses. SVBV was detected only in strawberry kept as a germplasm.

Monitoring of III-V semiconductor surface by In-situ Surface PhotoAbsorption

  • We present the investigation on P- and As-desorption process from the (001) InP surface in metal organic chemical vapor deposition using surface photoabsorption (SPA). The monochromatic SPA signal showed rapid initial increase to reach In-stabilized surface value after $PH_3$ was turned off, but in case of As-desorption, the signal showed clear existence of a metastable state after the $AsH_3$ was turned off. The SPA spectra at each stable surfaces were taken to confirm the interpretation. This result indicates that the As-desorption process should be understood as a two-step process, in contrast to P-desorption of one-step process.

Enhanced photon shielding efficiency of a flexible and lightweight rare earth/polymer composite: A Monte Carlo simulation study

  • Photons with the energy of 60 keV are regularly used for some kinds of bone density examination devices, like the single photon absorptiometry (SPA). This article reports a flexible and lightweight rare earth/polymer composite for enhancing shielding efficiency against photon radiation with the energy of 60 keV. Lead oxide (PbO) and several rare earth element oxides (La2O3, Ce2O3, Nd2O3) were dispersed into natural rubber (NR) and the photon radiation shielding performance of the composites were assessed using monte carlo simulation method. For 60 keV photons, the shielding efficiency of rare earthbased composites were found to be much higher than that of the traditional lead-based composite, which has bad absorbing ability for photons with energies between 40 keV and 88 keV. In comparison with the lead oxide based composite, Nd2O3-NR composite with the same protection standard (the lead equivalent is 0.25 mmPb, 0.35 mmPb and 0.5 mmPb, respectively), can reduce the thickness by 35.29%, 37.5% and 38.24%, and reduce the weight by 38.91%, 40.99% and 41.69%, respectively. Thus, a flexible, lightweight and lead-free rare earth/NR composite could be designed, offering efficient photon radiation protection for the users of the single photon absorptiometry (SPA) with certain energy of 60 keV.

자소자 항산화성분의 분리 (Isolation of Antioxidative Components of Perillae semen)

  • 자소자의 탈지시료로부터 FPA, SPA 및 IPA 형태의 phenol성 물질을 추출하여 이중 항산화활성이 가장 강한 FPA 추출물에 존재하는 항산화성분을 column chromatography 및 HPLC에 의하여 분리하였다. Chlorogenic acid를 표준물질로하여 측정한 탈지된 자소자에 함유되어 있는 phenol성 물질의 총함량은 0.38% 였고, 총 phenol성 물질중 FPA, SPA 및 IPA 추출물이 차지하는 비율은 71.1%, 15.8% 및 13.1%였다. 세가지 형태의 phenol성 물질의 항산화활성을 electron donating ability (EDA)와 linoleic acid를 기질로 하여 TBA값을 측정하여 비교하였을 경우 FPA 추출물이 가장 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었다. 항산화활성이 가장 높게 나타난 FPA 추출물을 silica gel column chromatography로 분획하여 항산화활성을 비교한 결과 acetone : methanol의 비가 8 : 2인 획분에서 가장 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었다. 항산화활성이 가장 높았던 획분을 HPLC에 의하여 분리한 결과 HPLC chromatogram 상에서 5가지 활성물질 획분이 분리되었으며, 이들 획분을 분취하여 항산화활성을 비교한 결과 F-I 획분이 가장 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었다.

  • 본 연구는 Full-HD급 PDP의 고속 구동 구현을 위한 새로운 구동 방식에 관한 연구이다. 새로운 SPA (self-priming address) 구동 파형은 어드레스 구간에서 지속적인 프라이밍 방전을 유지하여 하전 입자 효과를 이용하여 어드레스 방전 지연 시간을 개선하기 위하여 제안되었다. 본 연구에서는 프라이밍 방전의 기본 특성에 대해 조사하였으며, 안정적인 프라이밍 방전을 유지할 수 있는 초기화 펄스 및 프라이밍 램프 펄스를 도출하였다. 특히, 프라이밍 램프 펄스의 기울기가 0.1[$V/{\mu}s$]의 미약한 프라이밍 방전의 경우에 대해서도 기존 방식의 1.2[${\mu}s$]의 어드레스 방전 지연 시간을 0.8[${\mu}s$]로 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

신호현시 정보 제공 시스템의 시간 지연특성 연구 (A Study on the Time Delay Characteristics of Traffic Signal Phase and Timing Information Providing System)

  • A V2X system can be a candidate as a means to increase the stability of autonomous vehicles. In particular, in order to implement a Level 4 or higher autonomous driving system, the application of the V2X system is essential. Wireless communication technologies applicable to the V2X system include WAVE and C-V2X. Currently, the V2X service most used by autonomous driving systems is a service that provides signal phase and timing information and since real-time characteristic is a very important, verification of this service must be done. In this paper, we measured the time delay characteristics for providing signal phase and timing information using WAVE and LTE communication, and proposed a TOD-based signal phase and timing information generation method without using V2X communication system. To analyze the time delay characteristics, RTT (Round Trip Time) was measured as a result of the measurement. Average RTT using WAVE communication was 5.84ms and was 104.15ms with LTE communication. As a result of measuring the error between the signal phase and timing information generated based on TOD and the actual traffic light state, it was measured to be -0.284~3.784sec.
