  • This study determined the proper inclusion levels of squid liver powder (SLP) - soy protein concentrate (SPC) premix as a fish meal (FM) substitute in the diet for juvenile olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). All the experimental diets were formulated to be isonitrogenous (50% crude protein) and isocaloric (17.1 kJ energy $g^{-1}$ diet). Five diets were formulated with SLP-(SPC) replacing 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% of the FM (SLP $(SPC)_0$, SLP $(SPC)_25$, SLP $(SPC)_50$, SLP $(SPC)_75$, and SLP $(SPC)_100$, respectively). Triplicate groups of 12 fish averaging $5.56{\pm}0.10\;g$ ($mean{\pm}SD$) were fed one of the five experimental diets for 7 weeks. The weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed efficiency (FE), and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$ were significantly (P<0.05) higher than those of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_50$, SLP $(SPC)_75$ and SLP $(SPC)_100$, while those of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$ and SLP $(SPC)_25$ were similar. The whole-body crude protein content of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$ was significantly (P<0.05) lower than that of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_50$, SLP $(SPC)_75$, and SLP$(SPC)_100$, while those of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$ and SLP $(SPC)_25$ were similar. The whole-body crude lipid of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$ was significantly (P<0.05) lower than that of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_50$ and SLP $(SPC)_75$, while those of fish fed SLP $(SPC)_0$, SLP $(SPC)_25$ and SLP $(SPC)_100$ were similar. Based on the fish growth performance results obtained from this study, the SLP (SPC) premix can substitute up to 25% of the FM in the diets of juvenile olive flounder.

한외여과에 의해 제조된 참깨박 농축단백질의 기능적 특성 (Functional Properties of Sesame Protein Concentrates Produced by Ultrafiltration)

  • The functional properties of sesame protein concentrate(SPC) using different size of ultrafiltration(UF) membranes were examined and compared with those of conventional acid-precipitated sesame protein concentrate. The protein contents of SPC by UF with molecular size of 10K, 30K and look dalton membranes were 84.2%, 82.7%, and 76.4%, respectively, and that of acid-precipitated SPC was 88.7%. The nitrogen solubility of SPC by UF was higher than that of conventional SPC at various pH levels. Especially, it showed three-fold increase at near isoelectric point. However, water absorption capacity and fat absorption capacity of SPC by UF were decreased. For emulsion and foam properties, there were no significant differences between SPC by acid precipitation and SPC by UF method. At various pH levels, SPC by membrane with pore size of 30K dalton showed the highest emulsion properties. The SPC by UF had slightly higher viscosity than defatted sesame flour and SPC by acid precipitation.

  • 경쟁적인 시장에서 살아남기 위해서는 공장의 공정제어를 정확하게 하는 것이 필수적이다. SPC(Statistical Process Control) 시스템은 품질 향상의 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 광범위하게 사용되어지고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 기존 상업제품들은 유연성이 떨어지고, 반자동적으로 운영되며, 다른 툴과의 접목에 어려움이 있다. 본 논문이 제안하는 rSPC(Real-Time SPC) 시스템은 웹을 기반으로 하고, XML을 입력/출력 프로토콜로 이용한다. 또한 강력한 그래픽 표현기능과 효율적인 파일 시스템으로 실시간 제어를 가능하게 한다. 새로운 SPC시스템은 어떤 생산체제에도 사용 가능하지만, 특히 반도체, TFT/LCD 산업에 최적화되어 있다. 시스템의 구현은 C++과 COM/DCOM을 사용하며, 기존의 제품보다 향상된 성능을 보인다.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) is recognized as one of the most important tool of quality control (QC), and is one research focus in order to implement SPC quickly and effectively using computer technology and network environments. This paper proposes the principle and topology of embedded SPC based on the Internet/lntranet, emphatically discusses the embedded data sampling block, embedded network interface and SPC strategy. An example of application is given.

  • Engineering process control (EPC) is one of the techniques very widely used in process. EPC is based on control theory which aims at keeping the process on target. Statistical process control (SPC), also known as statistical process monitoring. The main purpose of SPC is to look for assignable causes (variability) in the process data. The combined SPC/EPC scheme is gaining recognition in the process industries where the process frequently experiences a drifting mean. This paper aims to study the difference between SPC and EPC in simple terms and presents a case study that demonstrates successful integration of SPC and EPC for a product in drifting industry. Statistical process control (SPC) monitoring of the special causes of a process, along with engineering feedback control such as proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control, is a major tool for on-line quality improvement.

Oncologists Experience with Second Primary Cancer Screening: Current Practices and Barriers and Potential Solutions

  • Objectives: Screening for second primary cancer (SPC) is one of the key components of cancer survivorship care. The aim of the present study was to explore oncologists' experience with promoting second primary cancer screening. Methods: Two focus group interviews were conducted with 12 oncologists of diverse backgrounds. Recurrent issues were identified and placed into thematic categories. Results: Most of the oncologists did not consider SPC screening promotion as their responsibility and did not cover it in routine care. All of the study participants had experience with unexpected SPC cases, and they were under emotional tress. There was no systematic manner of providing SPC screening. Oncologists usually prescribe SPC screening in response to patients' requests, and there was no active promotion of SPC screening. Short consultation time, limited knowledge about cancer screening, no established guideline for SPC screening, and disagreement with patients about oncologists' roles were major barriers to its promotion. An institution-based shared care model was suggested as a potential solution for promoting SPC screening given current oncology practices in Korea. Conclusion: Oncologists could not effectively deal with the occurrence of SPC, and they were not actively promoting SPC screening. Lack of knowledge, limited health care resources, and no established guidelines were major barriers for promoting SPC screening to cancer survivors. More active involvement of oncologists and a systematic approach such as shared-care models would be necessary for promoting SPC screening considering increasing number of cancer survivors who are vulnerable.

방송드라마 제작방식으로서 문화산업전문회사에 대한 연구: KGCS문화산업전문회사를 중심으로 (Special Purpose Company and Drama Production: A Case Study of KGCS)

  • 본 연구는 문화산업전문회사제도가 지상파방송의 드라마제작에 미친 영향이 무엇인지를 검토하는데 주목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지상파방송사가 드라마제작에 문전사제도를 적극적으로 도입하게 된 이유는 무엇인가? 둘째, 지상파방송사의 문전사 설립 및 운영 과정에서의 특징은 무엇인가? 셋째, 문전사제도가 지상파방송의 드라마제작시스템에 미친 영향은 무엇인가? 본 연구는 KBS가 문전사를 활용해 제작한 <학교2013>를 분석사례로 선정하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 지상파방송사는 막대한 제작비를 조달하고 투명하고 효율적으로 관리하기 위해 새로운 문전사 제도를 적극 도입하였다. 둘째, 지상파방송사 문전사(KGCS문전사)의 특징은 모태펀드와 프로젝트 펀드로 나누어진 이중 구조로 설계되어 있다는 것이다. 셋째, 문전사가 지상파방송의 드라마제작에 미친 영향으로는 (1)외부 투자 유치 활성화, (2)제작비 운영의 투명성, (3)자체 기획 활성화, (4)콘텐츠의 안정적 확보, 그리고 (5)수익 다각화 등이었다.

  • 통계적 공정관리(SPC)는 공정에서 수집된 데이터를 통계적으로 분석함으로써 모든 변환공정의 품질을 관리할 수 있는 객관적 수단을 제공하는데, 실시간으로 공정검사의 결과를 피드백하는 수단이라는 점을 고려하면, 통계적 공정관리를 실시간 생산정보관리(POP)의 1개 모듈로 구축하는 것이 실질적이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 자동차 부품업체의 통계적 공정관리시스템을 실시간 생산정보관리(POP)환경에서 구축하여 제시한다.

  • This paper seeks to Combination for Efficient Application of SPC/EPC minimize variability by transferring the output variable to a related process controllable variable, while SPC seeks to reduce variability by detecting and eliminating assignable causes of variation. In the case of product control, a very reasonable objective is to try to minimize the variance of the output deviations from the target or set point. We consider an alternative EPC model with autoregressed disturbance. We compare three control systems; EPC, Cp, SPC combined system with EWMA, CUSUM and Shewhart. This paper shows through simulation that the performance of the integrated model of EPC and SPC, Cp is more preferable than that of EPC.

Quality Characteristics of Sponge Cake Supplemented with Soy Protein Concentrate

  • The quality parameters of sponge cake supplemented with soy protein concentrate (SPC) were evaluated. The addition of SPC to wheat flour increased the protein content and alkaline water retention value, but decreased the sedimentation value. Protein content had a positive correlation with the alkaline water retention value, and a negative correlation with the sedintentation value. The higher the concentration of SPC, the higher the RVA pasting temperature and the lower the viscosity. Increasing the level of SPC in flour led to a decrease in mixogram peak time, whereas peak height, width at peak, and width at 8 min progressively increased. As the amount of SPC increased in the formulation, the pH and specific gravity of cake batter increased, whereas the volume and specific volume of sponge cake decreased. The total isoflavones content in SPC increased after heat treatment. The hardness, gumminess, and chewiness increased progressively in accordance with increasing level of SPC.
