  • SOA has been adopted by enormous number of organizations world-wide. This study has investigated significant factors which affect SOA adoption in positive and negative manner. Unlike the previous similar studies, where they focused on qualitative analysis for SOA adoption, this study conducted a quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between the adoption of SOA and the performance of IT organizations. In order to conduct the research, an online questionnaire was created and distributed among SOA experts through the social networking platform of professionals, LinkedIn. Total one hundred and four (104) respondents from thirty (30) different countries participated in this study. The results of this study indicate that there are both positive and negative influences upon SOA adoption. The positive influences includes: governance, strategy, culture and communication, business and IT alignment and ROI; whereas complexity, security concerns, and costs have negatively affected SOA adoption.

  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has appeared as an absorbing architectural approach that empowers the available systems to reveal their performance in the act of services, without creating important changes to the systems. This approach, due to its flexibility of adoption, has been widely recognized as an appropriate approach for implementing in organizations by many scholars and practitioners. Though, there are many studies that depict success factors of SOA; at the same time a few minor cases of failure has also been reported in the literature. In spite of the availability of rich material on SOA (in general), there is no systematic literature review on the potential aspect of SOA adoption factors. Hence, this article presents a systematic review of existing studies related to the SOA adoption and its success and failure factors from 2009 to 2015. The principle purpose of the study is to bring forward the existing issues and share our findings with researchers. Moreover, the findings of this paper would help IT experts in organizations to concentrate on the key factors highlighted in this study, so that they could decide whether it is advisable to adopt SOA or not in their context.

  • The SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is whooped up and many Organizations have considered the SOA as the next generation architecture. Due to misunderstanding of the SOA, they think that the CBD is not useful anymore and may be completely replaced by the SOA. Because of misunderstanding of the SOA, they think that the CBD is not useful anymore and may be completely replaced by the SOA. In this paper, we presented the critical success factor, technology and successful construction methods of the CBD based SOA. So, we expect that this paper provides the guides for adopting and realizing the SOA.

  • The interest of the ITA/EA and SOA is increasing in succession. Many organizations will adopt the SOA, but have the difficulties in planning and executing. The SOA can't be implemented at once in a short period, but should be optimized continuously in a long term. The ITA/EA and SOA have the similar characteristics and the common activities which can be performed at once without duplication. In this paper, considering these characteristics, I'll explain the relation of the ITA/EA and SOA, and present the adoption method of the ITA/EA and SOA to align business with IT and achieve the mission of the organizations.

  • In both inside and outside of our country, the interest of the new generation S/W architecture, the SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) is whooped up. We expect that the SOA will become general S/W architecture in several years, but the most compaines of S/W Industry still think that the SOA have much risk to adapt as their s/w architecture. In this paper, We performed the senario based verification of the SOA quantitatively and qualitatively, and presented the validity of the S/W architecture view and the method of adoption of the SOA.

  • A Study on the Curtain Wall parts that appear to cause problems and to improve information exchange system by applying the model of SOA-based development directions are suggested. Availability of the IT industry than other industries that have closed in the field of construction such as SOA. IT systems for the compatibility of the information being sought may be applied. In the future adoption of SOA and Web service-based approach to information exchange with suppliers and improving the efficiency of information for the construction to cover the entire field of research will be conducted as a SOA system.

  • SOA has become the focus of attention as it is perceived as a concept toward integrative service which helps companies respond quickly to the changes in market needs. This study is aimed to find out success factors for building SOA. We carried out two case studies on companies that adopted SOA successfully in Korea and conducted a survey to collect opinions from experts and experienced managers whose job is related to SOA. The critical successful factors found in this study include: 1) establishment of the SOA taskforce based on CIO's strong support, 2) formation of the corporate-wide consensus and the adoption of standards, 3) active user participation in defining services and obliterating duplication, 4) accomplishment of flexibility in services and business agility based on integrated infrastructure, and 5) securing project budget and consistent support by way of using measurement index for SOA investment effects.

  • The service oriented architecture (SOA) is gaining more momentum with the advent of Web services on internet. A programmable and machine accessible Web is the vision of many, and might represent a step towards the semantic Web. However, security is a crucial requirement for the serious usage and adoption of the Web services technology. This paper proposes design goals for an distributed access control model for CPC(Collaborative Product Commerce). It then design a processor model for CPC components, along with web services standard and concept that can be used as a basis to design an access control processor independent of a particular CPC service implementation.
