For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted on SNS users, and SPSS/AMOS statistical programs were employed for the data analysis. First, the result of the empirical analysis showed that SNS advertising, SNS information, and SNS events have a significant positive effect on brand recognition. Second, it was found that the SNS events had a significant positive effect on brand familiarity. Third, it was found that SNS advertising has a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Fourth, it was observed that brand recognition has a significant positive effect on brand familiarity. Fifth, it was found that brand recognition and brand familiarity have a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Sixth, it was found that gender plays a significant role in the relationship between these constructs. Therefore, it can be assumed that the hypothesis presented in this study is sufficiently proven.

  • The current study analyzes the usage of social network services(SNS) according to one's collectivistic and individualistic tendency and the relationship with addiction. Additionally, the study attempted to controll intrapersonal variables such as gender, personalitly, and age, which affect SNS the usage. Also, Collectivistic-individualistic tendency in SNS and offline environment may not correspond to one another. Therefore, the study measured the collectivistic-individualistic tendency regarding of the two environment separately. For this purpose, we designed a new measurement scale to measure collectivistic-individualistic tendencies in for the SNS by involving a kin vs nonkin context. The sample consisted of 253 adolescents ranging from 13 to 15 years old and 246 adults ranging from 18 to 25 years old, which sums up to 499 samples in total. Results indicated that individualistic tendency within SNS showed a positive relationship with the amount of SNS usage and SNS addiction. Furthermore, female users spent more time on SNS and showed a higher level addiction than males. While adults had longer experience with SNS and spent more time on it daily than adolescents, they did not show a significant difference in regards to SNS addiction. The correlation analysis indicated that collectivistic-individualistic tendencies in SNS were weakly correlated to that of offline environments. The kin individualistic tendency in SNS significantly predicted SNS addiction after controlling for the effect of age, personality, gender, and offline collectivistic-individualistic tendency. Taken together, these findings indicate the need for an appropriate collectivistic-individualist tendency scale that correspond to the SNS context. The results also suggest that kin individualistic tendency in the SNS environment can be the main factor for SNS addiction.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between demographic characteristics, self - esteem, and attachment instability (attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) in the college students' SNS addiction tendency. To investigate the influencing factors on SNS addiction tendency of college students, we surveyed 330 college students at universities in the metropolitan area through offline and online questionnaires, and analyzed 271 valid ones. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, 87.4% of college students used SNS, and the most used SNS was 'Facebook (82.3%)'. The most frequent use of SNS per day was 'over 1 hour ~ less than 2 hours (24.7%)'. Second, women had a significantly higher SNS addiction tendency than men. Third, self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency showed significant negative correlation. Fourth, attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance were positively correlated with SNS addiction tendency. Fifth, the self-esteem of college students affects negatively on the SNS addiction tendency and only the attachment anxiety among attachment instability affects the addiction tendency. Finally, we discussed the risk of SNS addiction according to the characteristics of university students.

Now cyber bullying is a big problem of this society. To analyze the relationship between the SNS user features and cyber bullying phenomenon, various SNS user's personal and social characteristics were set to variables affecting the cyber bullying phenomenon on the SNS. For the research, questionnaire survey was conducted for total 200 subjects among 10~60 age band in each region across the country. We set a research model including the items that are found to be affected in cyber bullying through the prior researches. To analyze interrelation of cyber bullying phenomenon and the general characteristics of SNS users, multiple regression analysis and other analyses were conducted. As a statistical result, we found the correlation among variables and the suggestion points for a SNS platform development direction.

  • Purpose The study examined the key factors influencing the formation mechanism of SNS addiction. Based on the use and gratification theory, we considered relationship maintenance, perceived enjoyment, and self-expression as main desires to induce SNS addiction. The characteristics of SNS users were also considered as major factors affecting SNS addiction. In particular, self-control and subjective well-beings were considered to be prevention factors that could reduce SNS addiction, while SNS relational intimacy was considered to be a facilitator that would increase SNS addiction. Design/Methodology/Approach A structural equation modeling (SEM) method was used to test the theoretical framework based on a sample of 224 Facebook users who have used it more than 6 months. Confirmation factor analysis was conducted to check the reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Findings Relationship maintenance had a significant effect on self-disclosure intention and SNS addiction, respectively. Perceived enjoyment was significantly related to self-disclosure intention, while it was insignificantly associated with SNS addiction. However, self-expression was not significantly related to both self-disclosure intention and SNS addiction. Consistent with our expectations, both self-control and subjective well-beings had negative effects on SNS addiction. The analysis results found that SNS relational intimacy was positively related to SNS addiction.

  • In this paper, In order to solve the traffic of the SNS to be executed on smartphone, we propose the design of the SNS integrated gateway server. Also, we capture the payload size in a variety of methods to send the MQTT protocol and QoS level of MQTT protocol for communication between the client and the Gateway. And we present the results and analysis of packet loss and end-to-end delay. By using analysis proposed, we present the results of the integrated SNS Gateway push notification protocol design.

  • The numbers of SNS (Social Network Service) users and usage amounts are increasing every year. The influence of SNS is increasing also. SNS has a wide range of influences from daily decision-making to corporate management activities. Therefore, proper analysis of SNS can be a very meaningful work, and many studies are making a lot of effort to look into various activities and relationships in SNS. In this study, we analyze the SNS following relationships using Twitter, one of the representative SNS services. In other words, unlike the existing SNS analysis, our intention is to analyze the interests of the accounts by extracting and visualizing the accounts that two accounts follow in common. For this, a common following account was extracted using Microsoft Excel macros, and the relationship between the extracted accounts was defined using an adjacency matrix. In addition, to facilitate the analysis of the following relationships, a direction graph was used for visualization, and R programming was used for such visualization.
