  • This study examines the effects of celebrity endorsed advertising from a new perspective of the prior research that emphasizes the matchup between the brand and the celebrity. Due to the recent sharing experiences of the celebrity and their fans on SNS, it is hypothesized that the shared stories would impact viewers' responses that are often expressed in their likes, dislikes, shares and comments on SNS. In this study, the episodic type of advertising is hypothesized to have more favorable and active responses from viewers than the typical celebrity image-focused ads would have. By crawling and analyzing viewers' responses on YouTube toward 12 BTS endorsed ads, the hypotheses are confirmed as higher ratio of likes, lower ratio of dislikes and significantly higher ratio of comments over both total views and total likes were found. For the rationale behind, total 1800 comments were categorized into 4 major content types such as attached, experiential, empathic and self-related ones that are all considered as important factors influencing the strong ad effect. The results showed that the episodic ads have marginally more emotional comments than the celeb image ads. The difference was only found in experiential and empathic responses but not in self-related responses. Contrary to the hypothesis, the comments expressing attachment were found more for the celebrity image-focused ads than the episodic ones. It does not seem to suggest that the celebrity image focused ads are better to capture viewers' attachment towards the celebrity and the ad endorsed, but that the episodic ads draw viewers into relatively deeper level of attachment such as empathy by perceiving the authenticity of the celebrity and the brand. In conclusion, the shared stories on SNS can be a factor in the match-up theory on celebrity endorsed ad effects.

Content materials are related to the content's difficulty, company relevance, and daily involvement. According to existing research, it was very important how the content would attract users' interest. Content could be divided into informative content and interesting content. Informational content is content related to the brand, and information exchange with users is important. Based on this, this study started with the assumption that the difficulty, company relevance, and daily involvement have an effect on the dependent variable. In addition, previous studies have found that content types affect Facebook user activity. I think it depends on the combination of photos and text used in the content. Based on this study, the actual photos were used and the hashtag and independent variables were also examined. Finally, we focused on the advertising message. In the previous studies, the effect of advertising messages on users was different depending on whether they were narrative or non-narrative, and furthermore, the influence on message intimacy was different. In this study, we conducted research on the behavior that Facebook users' behavior would be different depending on the language and formality. For dependent variables, 'OK' and 'Full Click Count' are set by every user's action on the content. In this study, we defined each independent variable in the existing study literature and analyzed the effect on the dependent variable, and found that 'good' factors such as 'self association', 'actual use', and 'hidden' are important. Could. Material difficulties', 'actual participation' and 'large scale * difficulties'. In addition, variables such as 'Self Connect', 'Actual Engagement' and 'Sexual Sexual Attention' have been shown to have a significant impact on 'Full Click'. It is expected that through research results, it is possible to contribute to the operation and production strategy of company Facebook operators and content creators by presenting a content strategy optimized for the purpose of the content. In this study, we defined each independent variable in the existing research literature and analyzed its effect on the dependent variable, and we could see that factors on 'good' were significant such as 'self-association', 'reality use', 'concernal material difficulty', 'real-life involvement' and 'massive*difficulty'. In addition, variables such as 'self-connection', 'real-life involvement' and 'formative*attention' were shown to have significant effects for 'full-click'. Through the research results, it is expected that by presenting an optimized content strategy for content purposes, it can contribute to the operation and production strategy of corporate Facebook operators and content producers.

  • Individual personality traits are key factors that affect users' self-disclosure on SNS. We examined the relationship between an individual personality trait (i.e., narcissism) and three dimensions of self-disclosure behavior on Facebook (i.e., intention, level, and control of self-disclosure). A total of 261 Facebook users completed an online survey. The findings showed that more narcissistic individuals engage in deeper levels of self-disclosure and do so with greater intentionality than previous research indicated. More interestingly, narcissistic users simultaneously tend to control their expressions in public by concealing who they really are. Overall, these findings suggested that the self-disclosures on Facebook must not investigated by a single dimensions for better understanding of psychological dynamics of it users. In addition, the present research suggested that the narcissism should not be regarded as a predictor which simply gives either a positive or negative influence on self-disclosing behaviors in SNS.

  • This study focuses on an effectiveness of socially recommended advertising on social network sites (SNSs) and investigates the impact of three critical factors on SNS advertising effectiveness - reward type for advertising recommenders' intention, product type on advertisements, and tie strength. A $2{\times}2$ factorial design was used to test the interaction effects between the two variables, reward type and product type on advertisements, moderated by tie strength. The results indicate that when participants observe socially recommended advertising, hedonic product ads with non-monetary reward shows the most effectiveness, and reward type and product type are also effective. In the combination of reward type and product type, we have confirmed the regulating factor influencing the effectiveness of social advertising according to the tie strength between the recommenders and the consumers. Strong-tie recommenders have more influence on the effectiveness of the social advertising than weak-tie recommenders. Based on these results, theoretical and practical implications were provided to refine marketing environments on SNSs.

  • Purpose - Many companies use the Internet to conduct their business to maintain and acquire their customers. SNS is used as a site where users can create profiles, build personal networks, and then share and exchange information with others. Not only do people use SNS for their self-promotion, but they also promote their services by creating SNS pages. SNS is recognized as a medium for implementing effective advertising strategies and is being used as an important means of promoting the company. Therefore, in this study, we investigate the effect of SNS marketing characteristics of restaurant franchise firms on utilitarian value and hedonic value and examine their effects on purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from 20s-60s respondents who have used SNS for restaurant visit using Google survey. A total of 159 responses were collected and used for final analysis. Smart PLS 3.0 was used for the hypothesis test. Results - As a result of an analysis, it was shown that the influence of the playfulness and affordability of information on the utilitarian value had a significant positive effect. Interaction and up-to-date did not have a positive effect on utilitarian value. Interaction, affordability, and up-to-date have no significant positive effects on hedonic value. The playfulness of information has a positive effect on the hedonic value. Both utilitarian value and hedonic value had positive effects on purchase intention. Conclusions - The findings of this study suggest that the SNS marketers of restaurant franchisors should focus on the playfulness, affordability, and up-to-date rather than the interactivity of SNS. In marketing through SNS, the act of presenting the basis of information and enhancing the provision of information through objective criteria makes it possible to experience the practical value of information. It is necessary to develop differentiated contents which cause customers interest and fun and to induce many customers' purchase intent by providing objective and realistic information. In order to increase the customers' repurchase intentions toward the food service business, customers should maximize the hedonic value and practical value felt through information. It should also focus on providing information that customers are receptive to, rather than providing prompt information.
