Analysis of Perceptions and Behaviors Associated with Health Functional Food Use: a cross-sectional survey (건강기능식품에 관한 인식도 및 소비양식의 분석)

  • Background: The use of health functional food (HFF) is increasing and will continue to rise worldwide. Concerns about HFF-drug interactions are increasing as HFF are becoming more widely used. Therefore, awareness of consumers' perceptions and behaviors associated with HFF use may help health care providers improve their communications with patients. Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the characteristics, perceptions, and behaviors associated with HFF use in South Korea. Method: The online survey was conducted from September 21th to October 7th, 2013. With the aid of Social Network Service (SNS) and google, the questionnaire was posted online on internet website targeting people aged 15 years or older so that self-reported data covering 4 domains were collected from 257 Koreans. Results: A total of 257 people responded the questionnaire. Among them, 81.3% reported experiences of HFF use. Female were more likely than male to use HFFs. There were no differences in demographic characteristics between HFF users and non-users in relation to age, education, and household income. Higher level of education was associated with high-level perception of HFF function (OR 3.9, 95% CI 1.48, 10.1) and a positive relationship was observed between the maximum number of HFFs used concurrently and age of the respondents. Among the HFF users, 42.6% reported concurrent HFF-medication use. However 73.3% of them did not disclose their use to physician or pharmacist and only 30.2% were informed about potential drug-HFF interactions. Pharmacy was most commonly reported as the source from which the respondents were informed about potential interactions. Conclusion: Many people had used HFF and medications concurrently while not being informed about potential HFF-drug interactions. Pharmacists and physicians should be vigilant for risk of the interactions and actively determine whether the patient is using an HFF before prescribing and administrating medications.

  • The person who knows inaccurately about AIDS is less favorable to AIDS infectee, and the low level of knowledge as to AIDS and negative attitude cause bias and stigma of AIDS infectee to act as a social exclusion mechanism to impede early discovery or early treatment of the disease. As the level of knowledge as to AIDS affect the attitude of AIDS, so this study was tried to make use of basic data to develop education program that may help AIDS infectee and prevention of infection who visit dental clinics in the future by grasping the level of knowledge of the students of the dept. of dental hygiene as to AIDS and the attitude for the infectee. The collected the data subject to 360 students. The investigated data used statistic program SPSS 22.0 (SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA) to calculate general characteristics by frequency and percentage, and for the attitude towards AIDS using Social Networking Services surveysinfectees and testing hypothesis of Duncan, Scheffe to see which groups show the difference in the practice level of infection management.

  • This study aims to analyze the causes of Internet hate speech, which has recently been emerging as a serious social problem and to seek for countermeasures. The experiences of hate speech are examined through the analysis of college students' essays and the causes and solutions of hate speech are suggested through the in-depth interviews with the experts. College students experience hate speech on the Internet on the basis of attributes such as age, gender, sexual orientation, and regionalism. Online comments on news, social media and online games are the main sources in spreading hate speech. On a personal level the lack of awareness of human dignity and the absence of media education are diagnosed as the reasons for online hate speech. The social reasons for online hate speech lie in the lack of human rights education and the problems of the media. In order to improve the problems of Internet hate speech, various suggestions are proposed on the legal, social and educational levels.

Emergency dispatching based on automatic speech recognition (음성인식 기반 응급상황관제)

  • In emergency dispatching at 119 Command & Dispatch Center, some inconsistencies between the 'standard emergency aid system' and 'dispatch protocol,' which are both mandatory to follow, cause inefficiency in the dispatcher's performance. If an emergency dispatch system uses automatic speech recognition (ASR) to process the dispatcher's protocol speech during the case registration, it instantly extracts and provides the required information specified in the 'standard emergency aid system,' making the rescue command more efficient. For this purpose, we have developed a Korean large vocabulary continuous speech recognition system for 400,000 words to be used for the emergency dispatch system. The 400,000 words include vocabulary from news, SNS, blogs and emergency rescue domains. Acoustic model is constructed by using 1,300 hours of telephone call (8 kHz) speech, whereas language model is constructed by using 13 GB text corpus. From the transcribed corpus of 6,600 real telephone calls, call logs with emergency rescue command class and identified major symptom are extracted in connection with the rescue activity log and National Emergency Department Information System (NEDIS). ASR is applied to emergency dispatcher's repetition utterances about the patient information. Based on the Levenshtein distance between the ASR result and the template information, the emergency patient information is extracted. Experimental results show that 9.15% Word Error Rate of the speech recognition performance and 95.8% of emergency response detection performance are obtained for the emergency dispatch system.

Directions for Vitalizing Archival Information Services based on the Analysis of SNSs and Civil Petitions (SNS와 민원에 기반한 기록정보서비스 활성화 방안)

  • The National Archives of Korea and other archives now provide services through social media such as Facebook or Twitter, and use such platforms to interact with users. To be specific, users communicate with and get information from these archives via the National Sinmoongo, the place for civil petition. Therefore, it is significant to understand the users' needs and the contents of the communication by analyzing the comments and petitions that have appeared in these channels. For this, this study analyzed users' perceptions and information needs shared through social media and the National Sinmoongo of the National Archives of Korea. The social media content analyzed here were posts and comments from the Facebook accounts of the National Archives of Korea, e-Record, the Busan Archives, and the Presidential Archives of Korea. Also, sentences containing the words "National Archives of Korea" and "Presidential Archives of Korea" that have appeared in texts in the National Sinmoongo were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, suggestions that could activate the user-centered archival information services in the archives and records centers were made.

스마트 사회의 보안위협과 정보보호 정책추진에 관한 제언

  • 우리는 지금 스마트 사회에 살아가고 있다. 언제 어디서든 스마트 디바이스를 통해 기존에 PC에서 하던 작업들을 손쉽게 하고 있다. 한편 스마트폰의 확산으로 이용자 수가 급증하고 있는 소셜네트워크 서비스(SNS)는 이용자들이 자신의 일상적인 이야기를 사이버공간에 게시함으로 인해 개인의 사생활 정보들이 노출되고, 그러한 정보들이 범죄에 악용되는 사례들이 눈에 띄게 증가하고 있다. 또한 SNS를 이용한 악성코드의 유포 및 빠른 전파 등도 새로운 보안위협으로 나타나고 있다. 그 밖에 스마트 기기를 대상으로 한 해킹 및 악성코드 감염 등 위협이 증가하고 있는 형편이다. 본고에서는 스마트 사회의 주요 보안위협을 살펴보고 미국, 유럽, 일본, 호주 등 선진국의 관련 정책 동향과 국내 정책과 실태를 분석하여 새로운 정보보호 정책 수립 방향을 제언하고자 한다. 스마트 사회 위험 요소로 가장 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 스마트폰과 스마트폰을 통해 이용되고 있는 소셜네트워크 서비스, 클라우드 서비스의 보안위협을 제기하고 최근 글로벌 이슈로 떠오르고 있는 빅 데이터 환경의 보안위협을 분석하였다. 스마트 사회의 위협을 대비하고 있는 주요국 정책을 살펴보면, 미국의 경우 사회적 합의를 바탕으로한 감시와 통제를 강화하는 정책을 추진 중에 있으며 유럽의 5개국 EU5(영국, 독일, 프랑스, 스페인, 이탈리아)는 스마트폰 위협을 중심으로 공동 대응 방안을 마련하고 있다. 일본은 스마트 워크중심의 보안대책을 강구하고 있으며 호주는 스마트 사회 보안위협에 대한 국민의 인식제고에 주력하고 있다. 국내의 경우도 스마트 사회의 보안위협에 선제적 대응을 위하여 "스마트 모바일 시큐리티 종합계획"을 수립하여 추진중에 있다. 하지만 보안 실태를 보면 스마트 사회 보안위협에 대한 이용자들의 우려는 높은 반면 기업의 보안 대책 마련에 대한 투자는 여전히 미흡한 상황이다. 향후 우리 사회가 디바이스간 융합을 넘어 모든 사물이 연결되는 초(超)연결(Hyper-Connectivity) 시대로 진화되어 가면 편리성이 증대되는 만큼 더 많은 위협에 우리의 일상이 노출되는 문제가 발생하게 될 것이다. 안전한 미래 사회로 진입하기 위해서는 보다 체계적이고 종합적인 정보보호 정책마련이 필요하다. 본고에서는 이를 위한 정책수립의 방향을 제언했다.

방송통신사업자의 스마트미디어 전략에 대한 탐색적 연구: HTML5, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 등의 기술적 배경을 근간으로

  • 다양한 스마트기기 간 및 앱(Application) 간 연동을 통한 스마트미디어 생태계 환경에서 애플(Apple), 구글(Google), 마이크로소프트(Microsoft) 등 SW(Software) 기반 OS(Operating System) 플랫폼들은 개별 체제 강화를 더욱 견고히 하고 있다. 생태계 내 타(他) 구성원들은 이들에 의한 제약이 더욱 심해지자, 웹 문서의 표준화(HTML5)나 클라우드 컴퓨팅(Cloud computing) 같은 개방화된 기술들을 환영한다. 실제로 최근 웹 애플리케이션(Web application) 개발과 개발자들의 OS 플랫폼 이탈은 이러한 변화의 단면을 보여주기 시작했다. 본 고는 SW 중심에서 서비스 중심으로 이동 중인 플랫폼 경쟁 환경에서 네트워크를 보유 중인 방송통신사업자들의 새로운 스마트미디어 전략 방향을 제시하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 두 가지 기술적 배경인 HTML5와 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술들을 살펴본 후, 그 동안 SW 중심 플랫폼 경쟁 환경에서 주도권을 빼앗겼다고 깨달은 방송통신사업자가 취해야 할, 두 가지 새로운 기술적 환경에서의 스마트미디어 전략을 제시하였다. 분석 결과, HTML5가 모바일 분야의 핵심 기술이 될 전망이지만, 단기적으로는 여전히 미성숙 문제가 제기될 것으로 보이며, 기존 경쟁력을 유지하려는 OS 사업자들의 가치사슬 통합 전략이 가시화되고 있는 환경이 목격된다. 또한, 클라우드 서비스 제공도 이미 이들 OS사업자들의 기존 생태계 유지를 위한 핵심 툴로 이미 활용되기 시작했다. 그럼에도 불구하고 HTML5와 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 방송통신사업자들에게 생태계 주도권을 탈환할 수 있는 중요한 기술로 인식되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이를 기반으로 세 가지 이용자 경험인 '경계 없는', '동질적인', '끊김 없는' 이용자 경험(User Experience) 제공을 위해 노력하는 선도적인 사례 탐색이 시도되었으며, 이를 통해 방송통신사업자들의 미래 스마트미디어 전략 방향이 도출되었다. '경계 없는' 서비스에서는 구글, 애플 외의 멀티OS 전략과 기존 OS의 앱 서비스 대항마인 아마존(Amazon), 페이스북(Facebook) 등과의 적극적 서비스 제휴, '동질적인' 서비스에서는 클라우드 기반 주요 콘텐츠 플랫폼 제휴와 방송통신 가입자 기반의 All-IP기반으로의 확대, 마지막으로 '끊김 없는' 서비스에서는 SNS, LBS, 가상현실 등과의 매쉬업(Mash-up)과 의료, 금융 등과의 융합서비스 개발을 통한 스마트홈 전략 추진, 인증 및 결제시스템의 개방화 등이 제시되었다.

A Study on the Consumer's Perception of HiSeoul Fashion Show Using Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 활용한 하이서울패션쇼에 대한 소비자 인식 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to research consumers' perception of the HiSeoul fashion show, which is being used by new designers as a means of promotion, and to propose a strategy for revitalizing new designer brands. This was done in order to secure basic data from fashion consumers, to help guide marketing strategies and promote rising designers. In this research, the consumers' perception of HiSeoul fashion show was verified using text-mining, data refinement and word clouding that was undertaken by TEXTOM3.0. Also, semantic network analysis, CONCOR analysis and visualization of the analysis results were performed using Ucinet 6.0 and NetDraw. "HiSeoul fashion show" was used as the keyword for text-mining and data was collected from March 1, 2018 to April 30, 2019. Using frequency analysis, TF-IDF, and N-gram, it was also shown that consumers are aware of places where shows are held, such as DDP and Igansumun. It was also revealed that consumers recognize rising designer brands, designer's names, the names of guests attending the show and the photo times. This study is meaningful in that it not only confirmed consumers' interest in new designer brands participating in the HiSeoul Fashion Show through big data but also confirmed that it is available as a marketing strategy to boost brand sales. This study suggests using HiSeoul show room to induce consumer sales, or inviting guests that match the brand image to promote them on SNS on the day the show is held for a marketing strategy.

An Empirical Study on the Quality Attributes of Museum Service by ICT: Comparisons of South Korea and Austria (KANO모델을 활용한 박물관 ICT 서비스 품질 속성에 관한 실증연구: 한국-오스트리아 비교)

  • Museum management has been centered on curated exhibitions. Today, however, visitor-tailored exhibitions are all the rage, and various ICT-based services such as museum app's and exhibition explanation through QR code are being provided. To this trend, research on museum services using smartphones and SNS has been conducted. But there have been few studies of technical influence on the museum service satisfaction factors. This study, therefore, attempted to identify and classify the satisfaction factors of museum services with Kano model which explains service quality attributes. Samples from South Korea and Austria were analyzed There was a significant gap in quality factors according to cultural differences and a notable difference in perceived quality even for the factors in the same dimension. It implies that cultural differences need to be taken into account for the priority of museum services.

  • Deaf are it is difficult to communicate to represent the voice heard, so theay use mostly using the speech, sign language, writing, etc. to communicate. It is the best way to use sign language, in order to communicate deaf and normal people each other. But they must understand to use sign language. In this paper, we designed and implementated finger language translation system to support communicate between deaf and normal people. We used leap motion as input device that can track finger and hand gesture. We used raspberry pi that is low power sing board computer to process input data and translate finger language. We implemented application used Node.js and MongoDB. The client application complied with HTML5 so that can be support any smart device with web browser.
