이중 오리피스 연료 노즐 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Dual Orifice Fuel Nozzle)

  • 가스터빈에서 연료 분무 노즐은 연소 특성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 부품이다. 스월 분무 장치를 설계하기 위하여 유량과 분무액적 평균 직경을 설계변수로 정하고 연료 분무 노즐의 최적화를 수행하였다. 설계변수는 이중 노즐의 실험값들을 비교하여 중요한 영향을 미치는 변수로 선정하였다. 민감도는 유량과 분무액적 평균 직경의 변화에 따른 값을 사용하였다. 이중 오리피스형 스월 분무장치의 형상 최적설계를 통하여 유량의 미립화를 높이도록 연구하였다. 최적설계를 위하여 실험 계획법을 이용하였으며, 영향을 적게 미치는 설계변수들은 설계대상에서 제외하였다. 분무 노즐의 분무액적 평균 직경을 사용한 결과는 Jasuja의 액적 평균 이론을 이용하여 도출된 결과와 유사함을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과는 이중 오리피스형스월 분무장치와 이와 비슷한 종류의 노즐 최적화를 위한 특성을 파악하고 최적의 유량과 허용 공차를 제시하였다.

  • It is reported that during the cold starting, especially in gasoline engine, the engine response and the effect of HC emission can be improved by prompting atomization and reducing the quantity of fuel adhered to the range of injector tip, inlet port, and inlet valve. The purposes of this study are to promote atomization of fuel before air-fuel mixture in the inlet port. In order to achieve its goal, the glow plug is to evaluate the feasibility of for the early fuel evaporator and the spray behavior characteristics of gasoline, injected on the surface of glow plug with room temperature(2$0^{\circ}C$) and high temperature(25$0^{\circ}C$) is to examine. Particle motion analysis system(PMAS) was used to measure the SMD and the dropsize distribution of impinging spray and free spray. The results of this experiment, evaporation rate of impinging spray was higher than that of free spray, and the higher evaporation rate win, the smaller peak dropsize was. Especially, during early spray SMD of impinging spray was still smaller than that of fee spray.

  • 희박연료 직접분사(Lean Direct injection(LDI)) 가스터빈 연소기에 대한 이상유동 특성을 해석하였다. LDI 연소기에 적용된 환형분사기(hollow-cone spray injector)의 분열을 모사하기 위해 분열모델(Linearized Instability Sheet Atomization(LISA), Aerodynamically Progressed Taylor Analysis Breakup(APTAB)을 적용하였다. 침투깊이와 평균입도(Sauter Mean Diameter(SMD))를 통해 분열모델을 검증하였으며, LDI 연소기에 적용하여 이상유동특성을 분석하였다. 스월인젝터로 인해 Precessing Vortex Core(PVC)가 발생하였으며, 액적들이 PVC를 따라 미립화되는 것을 확인하였다. SMD 결과를 통해 PVC가 회전하는 영역의 외곽으로 즉, 빠른 속도 영역에 액적들이 분포하며, 스톡스수(Stokes number)는 1보다 작다.

  • This experiment was undertaken to investigate spray characteristics of the conventional inject ion system and the ultrasonic energy added inject ion system. Sauter mean diameter was mesured under the variation of inject ion pressure and the spray distance. To measure the droplet size we used the Malvern system 2600C. The spray angle and mass distribution was analyzed to the CCD camera and the patternater. After experiment, it was found that the ultrasonic energy added injection system had smaller sauter men diameter of droplet, wider mass distribution and wider spray angle than the conventional inject ion system had.

  • 액체추력기 인젝터로부터 발생하는 분무의 분열과 확산거동을 파악하기 위해 이중모드 위상도플러속도계(DPDA)를 사용하여 분무액적의 준3차원적 공간분포를 계측하고 도시한다. 분무는 27.6 bar의 분사압력 조건에서 길이-직경비가 1.67인 노즐 오리피스로부터 지면에 수직으로 분사된다. 분무액적의 수직 및 수평방향 평균속도, AMD, SMD, 그리고 부피플럭스는 분무의 상류/중심에서 하류/외곽으로 이동함에 따라 분무분열에 의해 그 크기가 감소한다.

간헐 다공 디젤 분무의 미립화 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Atomization Characteristics in an Intermittent Multi-hole Diesel Spray)

  • This experimental study is to investigate the intermittent spray characteristics of the multi-hole diesel nozzle with a 2-spring nozzle holder. Without changing the total orifice exit area, its hole number varied from 3($d_n=0.42mm$) to 8($d_n$=0.25mm). Through the use of the 2-D PDPA(phase Doppler particle analyzer), the droplet diameter and the velocity of the diesel spray injected intermittently from the multi-hole nozzle into the still ambient were measured. And the calculations of time-resolved diameters, SMD and AMD were made. The results can be summarized as follows. The spray of the multi-hole nozzle consisted of three parts. These are the leading edge, the central part and the trailing edge. And most of droplets produced at the trailing edge of spray. In the spray flow field, the measuring position which represented the intermittent spray characteristics well was near the nozzle tip. But at the downstream of the spray, its characteristics disappeared, and spray behavior showed a quasi steady state regardless of the time evolution of the spray. The overall mean SMD of the spray increased with the spray development, and showed their maximum value near 1.5ms regardless of hole number.

정전분무의 유체 물성치와 정전 매개변수 따른 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics according to Fluid Properties and Electric Parameters of Electrospray)

  • Electrospray is used in various industries because it can produce continuous and uniform droplets. However, it is difficult to find optimal spraying condition due to lack of data in various conditions. In this study, various conditions were divided into electric parameters and fluid property. The electric parameters set Nozzle to Substrate(NTS), nozzle diameters and the fluid property set viscosity and conductivity as conditions. In this study, it observes spray patterns, Sauter Mean Diameter(SMD) according to conditions. As a result, fluid properties had a greater effect on the cone-Jet mode than on the nozzle diameter, NTS, and flowrate. All of solutions have Stable cone-jet mode at voltage of 8.5 kV, NTS of 20 mm and nozzle diameter of 0.2 mm. SMD has 27% different depending on viscosity and conductivity. The increased flowrate and viscosity are rising break-up length and thickening jet also jet is thinned by increased conductivity. Experiments have confirmed that the jet is thickened by increased flowrate and viscosity, and that the jet is thinned by conductivity.

  • Dimethyl Ether (DME) is an excellent alternative fuel that provides lower particulate matter (PM) than diesel fuel under the same engine operating conditions. Spray characteristical of DME in common rail injection system were investigated within a constant volume chamber by using the particle motion analysis system. The injector used in this study has a single hole with the different orifice diameter of 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 mm. The injection pressure was fixed at 35MPa and the ambient pressure was varied from 0.6 to 1.5 MPa. Spray characteristics such as spray angle, spray tip penetration and SMD (Sauter mean diameter) were measured. Spray angle was measured at 30d$_{0}$, downstream of the nozzle tip. The measured spray angie increased with increase in the ambient pressure. Increase of the ambient pressure results in a decrease of spray penetration. The experimental result, of spray penetration were compared with the predicted one by theoretical and empirical models. Increase in the ambient pressure and nozzle diameter results in an increase of SMD at a distance 30, 45 and 60d$_{0}$, downstream of the nozzle, respectively.ely.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the SMD(Sauter mean diameter) with different vibrant plates. Each vibrant plates have different surface roughness. Also liquid film thickness are measured for explanation how to concern atomization. Ultrasonic waves is used for vibration. Immersion liquid method is used for the measure of SMD and also liquid film thickness is measured using of point needle method. Distilled water and gasoline fuel are used to liquids. Supplied liquid flow rates are $18{\sim}296cc/min$. Centerline average roughness of vibrant plates are 0.5, 2.0, 4.7, $9.5\;{\mu}m$ and diameter of vibrant plate is 60mm. In result, good atomization of liquid is obtained in widen flow rates. The mean droplet size is increased in orders of 4.7, 2.0. 9.5, $0.5\;{\mu}m$ surface roughness. Distilled water has a big mean droplet size than gasoline fuel in low flow rate. Above the 78cc/min flow rates, distilled water has a small mean droplet size than gasoline fuel. Liquid films changes are measured with ultrasonic power. Also, cavitation effect on sprays is observed.

  • The interaction between airflow and liquid phase LfG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) sprays was investigated in a steady flow system embodied in a wind tunnel to simulate the variety of flow inside intake port of LPG engines with liquid injection system. The spray developments in flowing fields with the mean velocities of 5.4, 21.5 and 42.4m/s were identified by spray visualization techniques such as Mie scattering and shadowgraph. The microscopic visualization using a telescopic lens system was performed to investigate the shape and size of liquid droplets in the spray. PDA measurement was used to get 1-dimensional velocity and diameter of liquid droplets. The fast co-flows make the spray field be compact and be lead upward to the injection direction. SMD of the spray was smaller at the fast flowing field. Spray width got bigger and SMD of the spray was smaller with higher injection pressure.
