  • Purpose: This study was performed to give direction to quality improvement strategies of nursing services by comparing the differences in quality perceptions and satisfaction for nursing services between patients and nurses in small-medium sized general hospitals with 200 beds. Method: The subjects, who were 150 inpatients and 162 nurses of 4 general hospitals in a community, answered a self-report questionnaire with a SERVQUAL scale. Result: There were differences between patients' and nurses' expectations and perceptions of nursing service and satisfaction. In the service expectation, the highest factor was 'the responsiveness', and in the perceived performance, the highest was the 'assurance'. In addition, overall patients' perceptions on nursing services showed higher than nurses'. There were positive correlations among the expectations and perceptions on nursing service, and satisfaction. The correlation between perception and satisfaction was higher than the correlation between expectations and satisfaction. Conclusion: To improve the nursing service quality at small-medium hospitals, strengthening the 'assurance' factor and improving the nursing service support system is needed. Also, this study on nurses' perceived nursing service at small-medium sized hospitals should be duplicated.

  • There exist a number of studies pertaining to the determinants of customer satisfaction between low-cost and full-service carriers in the airline industry. Most studies measured service quality using SERVQUAL based on a survey method. This study offers a new perspective by employing a big data analytic approach using SNS data, which reflects the immediate response of customers as well as trends in real time. This study chose eight factors from TripAdvisor's customer review site as determinants of customer satisfaction and compared the differences between low-cost and full-service airlines. The factors analyzed were seat comfort, customer service, cleanliness, food and beverage, legroom, entertainment, value for money, and check-in and boarding. Additionally, ratings from domestic and foreign customers were compared. The findings show that customer service and value for money are significant factors in satisfaction with low-cost airlines while all variables except legroom and entertainment are significant for full-service airlines. The results show that SNS-based data and analysis of big data are important for improving decision-making effectiveness and increasing customer satisfaction in the airline industry.

The convenience sample size consists of 373 respondents who regularly use online Islamic banking facilities in Saudi Arabia was used. For measuring the consumers' perspective, a four-factor E-SERVQUAL scale; namely efficiency, system availability, fulfillment, and privacy was used. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis are used to test the model fitness. Structural equation modelling is utilized to determine the impact of E-service quality dimensions on customers' satisfaction. The results of the study reveal that 1) reliability as a dimension of E-retailing of Islamic banks made a significant impact on customers' overall satisfaction; 2) there is a positive significant relationship between responsiveness and customers' overall satisfaction. One unit increased in responsive leads to 0.763 unit increases in the overall satisfaction of the customer; and 3) ease of use is the most important dimensions of service quality of E-retailing of Islamic banks. One unit increases in Security/ Privacy leads to 0.473 unit increases in overall satisfaction. There is a positive impact of good E-service on customers' satisfaction, but it does not override unsatisfactory performance in other areas.

  • IT service is increasing becoming a critical resource firms have to utilize effectively and efficiently. As the importance of IT service increases, the knowledge sharing between IT service people and users becomes more and more important. In this study, the IT service quality is posited as a critical independent construct that influences knowledge sharing attitude of users which in turn change the knowledge sharing intention. Service satisfaction is placed as a mediator between the quality and attitude to compare direct and indirect effect in the model. Results show that (1) IT service quality influences the knowledge sharing attitude of users directly, and indirectly through service satisfaction, (2) at the same time, however, the direct path from quality to attitude is found to be stronger than the indirect path through satisfaction, and (3) interestingly, satisfaction seems to have no direct effect on intention, but only through the attitude change as can be inferred from the theory of reasoned action. Outcome of this study implies the importance of IT service quality in improving the knowledge sharing activities between users and developers, and interestingly the aim of quality would not be targeted on satisfaction but on attitudinal changes.

  • The first objective of this study is to verify diverse responses of users of internet landscape architecture media to service quality. Second, the degree of value and evaluation of service users is understood. Third, the general relation between users' importance/achievement response and overall satisfaction is analyzed. Thus, the general relation between users' response and satisfaction is analyzed. It aims to contribute to the suggestion of basic data for the development of internet media in the landscape architecture area The results of this study are like following. First, there were significant differences in expect and performance responses depending on 'age' among demographic variables, and 'academic background' and 'work' among socioeconomic variables. Second, the influence of service quality on satisfaction was verified as significantly positive(+). Especially, the influence of appearance showing low importance and achievement was the most noticeably shown, so that it was analyzed as the most efficient progress. • Evaluating ubiquitous computing services is important for the commercialization of the ubiquitous services which will be running on electronic markets. However, despite its importance and usefulness, assessing ubiquitous computing services is still in its early stage. Moreover, sufficient study of making a distinction what are 'ubiquitous computing services' or not has not been provided yet. Hence, this paper aims to propose an integrated methodology to assess the ubiquitous computing services. A multilayered approach is considered to assess not only technical but also behavioral perspectives. To show the feasibility of the assessment model, three use cases are studied and evaluated.

  • Purpose: To obtain the area for improvement, the Importance-Performance analysis(IPA) uses relatively simple questions, that is, satisfaction and importance at attribute level. However, no attempt has been made to consider the gap between own company's performance and those of competitors in IPA, in the field of quality management. This study is aimed to suggest a new prioritizing method for improvement and to test for validity of the proposed technique. Methods: This study used data collected from Song and Lim(2015), which is satisfaction of employees, customers and competitors as well as importance data for 7 quality attributes of K animal hospital. A correlation comparison with other priority methods such as Bacon(2003)'s model and Matzler and Hinterhuber(1998)'s QI index is conducted. Results: The priority results by the proposed method shows better in correlation coefficient with customer perceived priority for improvement than other methods. Conclusion: From the result of the current study, it can be concluded that the result of the proposed method is valid, while it is relatively easy to understand and analyze, and therefore no additional survey is necessary for improvement priority.

Methods: The data was collected by foreign patients' EMR data of K university hospital. The author proposed tree-form patients' characteristic diagram through statistical methods that association rule, proportion test, clustering using prescription information and questionnaire information. Results: This study's analysis process was applied high blood data and diabetes data. Analysis showed other characteristic of meaningful patient groups in high blood and diabetes. In high blood, test implementation rate of patient group showed the differences. And in diabetes, test implementation rate of patient group and implemented test list showed differences. Conclusion: The result of this study can play a role as basic data that can be clinical testing standard in preventive aspect. Eventually, 5 dimensions of SERVQUAL will be improved by this study's process.
