Linux cluster Server makes a high performance PC cluster system, and provides scalablity and availability as compared with an expensive single server. In this paper, we design and implement a VOD streaming service system to serve video and audio streaming services on the Linux cluster server. Our Streaming server supports the MS Window Media Format based on the RTSP streaming protocol.

A series of new 3-alkyl-1-(1-methyl-2-phenylethyl)ureas related to ceramide was synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxic activity against five human tumor cell lines. The urea analogue (2b) of 813 showed comparable or slightly more potent cytotoxic activity as compared to B13, indicating that urea does appear to serve as a bioisostere of amide.

It seems to be less important to quality record than document control. But quality records provide a objectve evidence for certain product. So, the requirements of quality record is more serve than that of design document. It is obvious that quality record control promotes accumulation of know-how. The puepose of this study is to possible implementation methods through analysis of Code requirements. This paper suggests the considerations when establishing the quality records control system.

In this paper, temporal variables of French oral discourse are analyzed and interpreted. They are distinguished in two Troops, the temporal external variable and the temporal internal variable The external variable is determined by the breathing function as the physical condition of the verbal message and the internal variable is directly associated with multiple effects by the accentuation on final syllable of rhythmic group in actual French. Temporal variables, external and internal, are taken as devices of verbal support that serve to create immediate effects of oral production.

There are some similar phonological properties shared by different languages. The phenomenon of vowel length is just one of them which shows distinctive futures. In some languages long vowels serve to differentiate meanings. In that case the phonological context it creates is important and so it has to be incorporated into the phonemic inventory of the language, otherwise there will be misunderstanding. In this paper I will try to explain the Turkish vowel system as well as the Korean, and then to show how long vowels take their forms in Turkish and Korean.

Korean learners of Chinese have diniculties in pronouncing Chinese tones which distinguish the meaning of words, because there are not such tones in Korean language. It makes Koreans hard to acquire Chinese. In this paper, I present the followings: First, I examine the characteristics of the tones pronounced by Korean speakers, exploiting the method of modern experimental phonetics. Second, I present the pedagogy of Chinese tones, considering the typical errors shown by the experiments on Korean speakers. The Pedagogy Presented in this Paper, which is based on the results of experiments, is not perfect. However, I expect this paper to serve as instrumental tools to help Korean speakers to improve their command of Chinese.

The main purpose of this paper is to define the concepts and measures of accessibility used in various disciplines. To do this, a significant literature review was conducted particularly in fields of traffic engineering, transportation planning, urban economics, urban planning, and geography of transportation. The result indicates that each discipline uses the concept of accessibility in a slightly different perceptual framework and thus shows somewhat ambiguous definition. The result also indicates that accessibility should serve as a tool to integrate transportation planning into the other connected disciplines.

Recently. the effort to make a robot alike human is increasing. The robot helps house work or make a service in restaurant is not a dream. In this paper, we studied home robot serves a beverage. Each 4 beverage has different color. (And robot can serve a drink to master with its color.) It can be applicable to other works need to recognize target object with color. Perhaps, This looks simple but it's idea can be a basis for more complex work.

Robust knapsack problem appears when dealing with data uncertainty on the knapsack constraint. This note presents a generalization of the cover inequality for the problem with its lifting procedure. Specifically, we show that the lifting can be done in a polynomial time as in the usual knapsack problem. The results can serve as a building block in devising an efficient branch-and-cut algorithm for the general robust (0, 1) IP problem.

This paper examines the effects of the Internet on the librarianship and how the changing roles of libraries and librarians are reshaping the way they serve the users in the information age. Each area of operations and services in a so-called Digital/Electronic Library, which is a phenomenon occurring now not sometime later in the future, is reviewed. The importance of keeping in mind the library' main mission of providing a service, i.e. access to information, is stressed as the pivotal point of librarianship in this global society influenced by the presence of the Internet.
