본 연구는 스쿠버 다이버의 특성에 따른 다이빙 활동 전과 활동 중 안전 준수 실태를 파악하여, 안전교육의 방향을 제시하고자 시도하였다. 2012년 9월 21일부터 2013년 8월 16일까지 스쿠버 다이버 227명을 대상으로 동의를 받은 후 설문조사를 시행하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS PC/21.0을 이용하여 기술통계와 $X^2$-test로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 다이빙 활동 전 안전준수 항목 중 '음주', '준비 운동 여부', '호흡기 질병 시 다이빙 여부'의 항목은 주로 경력 또는 자격 수준이 높은 경우 잘 지켜지지 않고 있었다. 반면에, 다이빙 활동 중 안전 준수 항목 중 '신체 이상 시 중단 여부', '상승 시 안전 정지 여부', '상승시 수면과 주변 확인 여부' '분당 상승 및 하강 속도 인지 여부', '알파 깃발 또는 부표 사용 여부'의 항목은 주로 경력 또는 자격 수준이 낮은 경우 잘 지켜지지 않고 있었다. 따라서 스쿠버 다이버들의 안전사고 예방을 위해 다이빙 경력과 수준을 고려한 차별적이고 정기적인 교육과 점검이 필요하다.

본 연구는 전문가들의 의견을 수렴할 수 있는 델파이 기법을 활용하여 스쿠버다이빙 레스큐 교육과정에서의 문제점을 분석하고 개선방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 통해 우리나라에서 이루어지는 스쿠버 레스큐 교육과정을 보다 전문적이고 체계적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 하여 참여자들이 즐겁고, 안전하게 스쿠버다이빙을 할 수 있도록 하는 기반을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 이에 2022년 현재 스쿠버 레스큐 교육과정에 관여하고 있는 전문가 8명을 모집단으로 선정하여 연구 참여와 관련하여 연구윤리동의서를 받은 후 실시하였다. 스쿠버 다이빙 레스큐 교육과정의 지도자, 프로그램, 시설 측면의 개선방안은 다음과 같다. 지도자 측면에서는 지도자의 능력에 대한 검증제도가 필요하고, 지도자의 역량이 강화되어야 한다고 했다. 프로그램 측면에서는 스쿠버 단체별로 최신화된 프로그램 메뉴얼을 제작하고 평가 기준을 마련해야하며, 다양한 장비를 활용한 프로그램을 개발해야 한다고 했다. 시설 측면에서는 시설 내 인공파도 장치 등을 구축해야 한다고 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop the pattern of scuba diving suits for local men in their thirties by using 3D body-scanned data. It is widely acknowledged that draping method is more suitable than flat pattern for body shape as most scuba diving suits in the market are designed to fit the body tightly in a single piece with sleeves and legs. A dummy for this study was made based on men's standard clothing sizes in 30's which was derived from data of 2004 Size Korea. Accordingly, the basic body block was built upon through draping method. Next, a scuba diving suit was made from neoprene, followed by fit and the clothing pressure tests in order to evaluate the diving suit's functionality and comfort. The results of the fit test had high points of 4.33 in majority parts except armhole and crotch ones. In comparison of clothing pressure between wearer and dummy, the clothing pressure of wearer was indicated relatively low in most parts other than armhole and knee, resulting from cushion function of skin and muscle and high stretch of fabric.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between resort selection attributes, emotional responses, and empirical values of scuba diving participants. The general population who enjoys scuba diving in Korea was selected as the population. Using the convenience sampling method, 553 of the 600 questionnaire samples were extracted as the final valid sample. For data processing, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and Cronbach's α test were performed using SPSS 23, and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis were performed with AMOS 18. The results are as follows: First, among the sub-factors of selection attributes, equipment, facility environment, and diving point showed a positive effect on emotional response, but staff service did not have any significant effect. Second, the emotional response positively affected by the selection attribute showed a positive effect on all factors of service excellence, consumer utility, fun value, and aesthetic value of empirical value. Therefore, scuba diving resort managers must recognize the importance of equipment, facility environment, and diving point among these selection attributes of customers. And to satisfy the customer needs the resort must accurately identify the needs for diving equipment, facility environment and diving point. Various methods for this should be explored through the needs of the identified customers, and efforts should be made to provide safe equipment, comfortable facilities, and various diving points.

This study aims to provide divers with improved safe diving practices by analyzing reports on scuba diving casualties that recently occured in Korea, Japan and USA. The result of this study should be notified to all the divers in Korea for the purpose of preventing the diving accident. All the data were collected through the diving accident reports of various sourses, which include KUA(Korea Underwater Association) technical committee, the accident statistical data of National Maritime Police Agency, articles of domestic and foreign scuba diving magazine, accident reports of various newspaper, annual report on decompression illness and diving fatalities by DAN(Diver Alert Network), various type of data on diving accident from local as well as national seminars, and medical treatment data of diving accident.

In this paper, we propose a study on awareness of first aid of scuba diver. In order to achieve this purpose, a total of 310 customers over the age of 20 were selected as study participants form diving pools and dive resort in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Gyeongsang province area using the convenience sampling method However, only data from 295 customers were used after screening the data for reliability. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire, and descriptive statistics, inter-item consistency reliability, pearson chi-square test were conducted on the data using the SPSS 21.0 version statistical package program. The followings are the results: The level differ significantly according hemorrhage, abrasion, sprain, fracture, fever, arrest, airway obstruction. As a result of analyzing the difference of first aid recognition according to the level of scuba diver, we found bleeding patients, abrasions, sprains, fractures, high heat exposure patients, cardiac arrest patients. There was a statistically significant difference in the level of airway obstruction due to food.

이 연구는 국내 및 해외의 스쿠버다이빙리조트 활성화 요인을 도출하고 비교 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 국내와 해외 스쿠버다이빙리조트의 경영대표, 교육팀장 등 운영에 관련된 전문가 30명을 대상으로 3차례에 델파이 조사를 진행하였다. 국내와 해외의 활성화 요인을 비교 분석한 결과 공공다이빙 장소의 편의시설 확충, 다이버들을 위한 안전시설 및 의료시설 설치, AED, 산소 등 응급처치 시스템 구축, 다이빙 보트 내 입·출수 리프트, 화장실 등 편의시설 필요, 다이빙 보트 스크루 안전망 설치, 지역 보트 운항 가이드 라인, 스쿠버다이빙 정규 코스 교육 프로그램, 전문 스쿠버다이빙 강사 및 가이드 고용, 다양한 SNS를 이용한 소통 및 홍보, 다이버의 입소문을 통한 홍보, 지역 다이빙 리조트 연합회 활동, 한인 다이빙 연합회 활동, 지역 어촌계와의 소통 및 상생 정책, 지역 관광산업과 연계정책이 공통적인 중요 활성화 요인으로 나타났다.

이 연구는 스쿠버다이빙에 참여한 다이버들이 버디를 선택하는데 나타나는 결정과정을 지도자가 지각하는 측면에서 심층적으로 구명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 연구참여자는 스쿠버다이빙 지도경력 5년 이상이며, 스쿠버다이빙클럽에서 지도자로 활동하고 있는 총 6명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 이와 같이 분석된 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 버디를 선택하는데 있어서 교육을 통한 버디의 중요성 인식과 위험지각의 극복을 위한 동반자 인식을 통하여 버디선택의 필요성을 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 버디를 선택하는데 있어서 레벨에 따른 기준 확립, 레스큐 다이버의 취득여부, 새로운 가치관을 통한 기준 확립을 통하여 버디선택의 기준을 확립하고 있었다. 셋째, 버디를 선택하는데 있어서 버디간의 상호작용, 버디와의 상호신뢰, 버디의 역할에 대한 자각을 통하여 버디선택의 결정요인으로 작용하고 있었다. 이상에서 알 수 있듯이, 스쿠버다이빙은 짝 다이빙을 하기 위해서 버디를 선정하여야 하며, 버디를 선정하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 요소는 상호간의 소통, 신뢰, 믿음 등과 같은 관계형성을 바탕으로 나타난다. 즉 버디와의 상호관계를 바탕으로 버디의 역할을 충분히 수행할 때 지속적인 버디로서의 관계형성이 이루어진다.

본 연구는 동남아 각국에서 시행되고 있는 레저 스쿠버 잠수 인증 제도에 대한 자료를 수집하고, 잠수 현황 및 인증 현황을 비교하였다. 자료 수집을 위해 인터넷에 게시된 내용을 많이 활용하였고, 관련 문헌을 조사하였으며, 자료 보완을 위해 잠수 협회 관계자, 2007년 동남아 각국의 DIVE EXPO에 참가한 동남아 각국의 관공홍보 정부 관계자, 잠수 리조트 운영자 및 강사들과 폭 넓은 인터뷰를 하였다. 논문에는 인증 제도에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 스쿠버 인증과 국제 표준의 관계에 대해서도 언급하였다. 조사 결과, 동남아 지역은 레저 스쿠버 잠수 활동이 매우 활발한 지역으로 관광 산업에서 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있었으며, 전 세계 레저 다이버 인증 숫자의 30% 이상을 차지하고 있는 큰 시장으로 발전되어 있었다. 그러나 스쿠버 잠수 활동이 구미 지역에서 도입되었고 잠수 단체의 총 본부가 구미 지역에 있는 만큼 잠수 제도나 정책 문제에 있어서 조직 체계상 아시아에서 주도적인 역할을 하기 어려운 구조이며, 현재 상태로는 개선책을 찾기가 매우 어려울 것으로 예상된다. 또한 동남아시아에서는 유럽이나 미국과 같이 국제 표준 제도와 협력하여 교육의 질을 높이기 위한 프로그램 도입 및 단체 결성에는 아직 무관심한 것으로 나타났지만 이에 대한 필요성이 곧 대두될 것으로 예측되고 있다.

본 연구는 스쿠버 다이빙 입문교육 전·후 안전지식, 응급상황대처능력, 응급처치 인식의 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 2021년 6월 25일부터 8월 30일까지 연구에 동의하고 국제 스쿠버학교(SSI, Scuba Schools International)의 입문단계 교육을 받은 86명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS PC/26.0을 이용하여 기술통계와 t-test, χ²-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교육 후 안전지식과 응급상황대처능력은 모든 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 증가를 보였으며 응급처치인식은 빈도분석결과 우선순위에 따라 가장 먼저 시행해야할 항목에 답한 경우가 교육 후 증가하였다. 또한, 스쿠버 다이빙 안전수칙을 잘 알고 있는 대상자가 안전지식과 응급상황 대처 능력이 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서, 대학생들의 스쿠버다이빙 단체교육 특성상 안전한 수중레저 활동을 위해서는 입문단계에서부터 안전지식 및 응급상황대처능력에 대한 체계적인 교육과 제도적 장치가 마련되어야 할 것이다.
