모노리스 $NH_3-SCR$ 반응기 내에서의 $NH_3$ 흡.탈착 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study of $NH_3$ Adsorption/Desorption Characteristics in the Monolithic $NH_3-SCR$ Reactor)

  • Transient kinetics of $NH_3$ adsorption/desorption and of SCR(selective catalytic reduction) of NO with $NH_3$ were studied over vanadium based catalysts, such as $V_2O_5/TiO_2$ and $V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$. In the present catalytic reaction process, NO adsorption is neglected while $NH_3$ is strongly chemisorbed on the catalytic surface. Accordingly, it is ruled out the possibility of a reaction between strongly adsorbed $NH_3$ and NO species in line with the hypothesis of an Eley-Rideal mechanism. The present kinetic model assumes; (1) non-activated $NH_3$ adsorption, (2) Temkin-type $NH_3$ coverage dependence of the desorption energy, (3) non-linear dependence of the SCR reaction rate on the $NH_3$ surface coverage. Thus, the surface heterogeneity for adsorption/desorption of $NH_3$ is taken into account in this model. The present study extends the pure chemical kinetic model based on a powdered-phase catalytic system to the chemico-physical one applicable to a realistic monolith reactor.

Pt/TiO2 촉매의 H2 SCR 반응 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reaction Characteristics of H2 SCR using Pt/TiO2 Catalyst)

  • $TiO_2$를 담체로 한 Pt계 촉매를 이용하여 저온($80{\sim}150^{\circ}C$) 영역에서 적용될 수 있는 $H_2$ SCR의 촉매 반응 특성을 조사하였다. 실험은 반응가스 중 수분, 산소, 촉매의 소성온도, $H_2$/NOx 몰비, 공간속도에 대하여 수행하였다. Pt/$TiO_2$를 이용한 $H_2$ SCR 반응에서 수분은 inhibition으로 작용하였으며, 배가스 중 산소 농도가 희박할수록 반응활성이 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 하지만 산소가 존재하지 않을 때에는 NOx와 $H_2$가 반응하여 $NH_3$ slip이 발생하였다. 또한 촉매의 상전이 문제에 의하여 $600^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소성하는 것이 가장 유리하였으며, $H_2$/NOx 몰비가 증가할수록 반응 활성이 증가하였다. 하지만 $H_2$ slip은 몰비가 증가하여도 $H_2$$H_2O$로 산화되어 나타나지 않았다.

  • The aim of this study is to develop an integrated urea-SCR catalytic filter system for reducing soot and $NO_X$ emissions simultaneously in diesel engines. In this study, the characteristics of exhaust emissions relative to reactive activation temperature under four kinds of engine loads are experimentally investigated by using a four-cycle, four-cylinder, direct injection type, water-cooled turbo intercooler ECU common-rail diesel engine with the integrated urea-SCR $MnO_2-V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2/SiC$ catalytic filter system operating at three kinds of engine speeds. The urea-SCR reactor is used to reduce $NO_X$ emissions, and the catalytic filter system is used to reduce soot emissions. The reactive activation temperature is very important for reacting a reducing agent with exhaust emissions. The reactive activation temperatures in this experiment is applied to 523, 573 and 623 K. The fuel is sprayed by the pilot and main injections at the variable injection timing between BTDC $15^{\circ}$ and ATDC $1^{\circ}$ according to experimental conditions. It is found that the $NO_X$ conversion rate is the highest as 83.9% at the reactive activation temperature of 523 K in all experimental conditions of engine speed and load, and the soot emissions shown by the average reduction rate of approximately 93.3% are almost decreased below 0.6% in all experimental conditions regardless of reactive activation temperatures. Also, the THC and CO emissions by oxidation reaction of Mn, V and Ti are shown in the average reduction rates of 70.3% and 38% regardless of all experimental conditions.

Sb 첨가에 따른 VWTi 촉매의 암모니아 선택적 촉매 환원(SCR)을 통한 질소산화물 저감 (Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH3 on Sb-promoted VWTi Catalysts)

  • NH3-SCR에서 상용촉매로 사용되고 있는 VWTi (VOx/WO3-TiO2)는 300~400 ℃에서 우수한 탈질성능을 나타내지만 300℃ 이하 저온에서는 효율이 저하되는 문제가 있다. 저온 탈질효율을 높이기 위하여 promoter를 첨가한 촉매 연구는 꾸준히 진행되고 있으나 촉매의 저온 탈질효율 증진원인과 촉매특성에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 VWTi에 Sb(antimony)를 첨가함으로써 300 ℃ 이하의 NH3-SCR 반응에서 탈질 성능이 10% 이상 증진되는 것을 확인하였고, 이 때 외부확산/내부확산에 의한 영향을 배제하고자 공간속도와 촉매입자 크기를 제어하였다. 또한 Sb의 첨가 유·무에 따른 촉매특성을 BET, TEM/EDS, O2-TPD, H2-TPR, DRIFTs 분석을 수행하여 고찰하였다. Sb의 첨가는 촉매의 표면 흡착 산소 종을 증가시켰으며, 이에 따라 저온에서 촉매의 산화·환원(redox) 특성이 증진되어 우수한 탈질성능을 나타내는 것으로 판단되었다.

A Study on the Electrical Characteristic Analysis of c-Si Solar Cell Diodes

  • A study on the electrical characteristic analysis of solar cell diodes under experimental conditions of varying temperature and frequency has been conducted. From the current-voltage (I-V) measurements, at the room temperature, we obtained the ideality factor (n) for Space Charge Region (SCR) and Quasi-Neutral Region (QNR) of 3.02 and 1.76, respectively. Characteristics showed that the value of n (at SCR) decreases with rising temperature and n (at QNR) increases with the same conditions. These are due to not only the sharply increased SCR current flow but the activated carrier recombination in the bulk region caused by defects such as contamination, dangling bonds. In addition, from the I-V measurements implemented to confirm the junction uniformity of cells, the average current dispersion was 40.87% and 10.59% at the region of SCR and QNR, respectively. These phenomena were caused by the pyramidal textured junction structure formed to improve the light absorption on the device's front surface, and these affect to the total diode current flow. These defect and textured junction structure will be causes that solar cell diodes have non-ideal electrical characteristics compared with general p-n junction diodes. Also, through the capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements under the frequency of 180 kHz, we confirmed that the value of built-in potential is 0.63 V.

Reproducibility of physiological patterns in disgust visual stimulation design

  • The paper is addressed to the topic of physiological response-specificity in disgust induced by visual stimulation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate reproducibility of physiological reactivity pattern during disgust elicited by the International Affective Pictures System (IAPS) in 2 experiments. Twenty-nine subjects participated in the first experiment with 3 visual stimulation sessions with disgust-eliciting slides (3 slides in each 1 min long session). In the second experiment disgust-eliciting slides from the IAPS were presented to 42 subjects in 2 sessions (one slide for 1 min). Spectral power of frontal EEG, skin conductance (SCL, SCR and NS.SCR), heart rate(HR), heart period variability(HPV) and respiration rate were recorded. Visual stimulation evoked 1:.n deceleration, higher power of high frequency component of HPV, increased SCL and NS.SCR frequency, frontal slow alpha blocking and moderate increase in fast beta power in most of the sessions in both experiments. However in the second experiment the EEG pattern associated with disgust showed inconsistent shifts in fast alpha and slow beta bands, but was marked by higher power of theta activity. Our data in both experiments emphasizes presence of disgust-specific profiles of autonomic and at the less extent EEG responses in visual stimulation context. Discussed are potential behavioral mechanisms leading to observed physiological manifestations in disgust elicited by visual stimulation. The results support the consideration that disgust is an withdrawal type negative valence emotion associated with relatively low autonomic arousal (low HR, low amplitude SCRs with relatively high NS.SCR frequency) and moderate EEG activation signs. Obtained data showed more consistent reproducibility of disgust-specific autonomic rather than EEG response patterns during visual stimulation design.

Analysis on Antioxidant Activity and Agronomic Characteristics of Extract from Smilacis Chinae Radix

  • The Smilacis chinae Radix refers to the root of Smilax chinae L distributed in mountain and filed of Korea, and it is a vine shrub in the Lilaceae family, called Berchemia berchemiaefolia, and is referred to as Smilacis chinae Radix in it's a natural medicine name. Antibacterial, inflammatory, and antioxidant activity were studied in Smilacis chinae Radix. In this study, biological activities such as antioxidant (DPPH, ABTs, TPC), cytotoxicity, wrinkle improvement, and whitening improvement to increase the utilization value of Smilacis chinae Radix and identify the botanical value. Therefore, we tried to explore the applicability of Smilacis chinae Radix as a functional cosmetic material. Smilacis chinae Radix (SCR) was dried and extracted with ethanol. In order to measure the biological activity of the SCR, antioxidant activity, inhibition activities of collagenase, tyrosinase and cell viability were measured. The DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl) radical scavenging activity in the extract with a concentration of 400㎍/mL is 91.22% ± 0.41%%. ABTs (2,2'-azinobis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radical scavenging activity in the extract with a concentration of 400㎍/mL is 99.60% ± 0.03%. Total polyphenol contents (TPC) are 0.203 ± 0.05 mg GAE/mg Ext when SCR was lmg/mL. And the Cell viability for HaCaT derived human keratinocyte and Raw264.7, a mouse-derived macrophage was determined using the MTT assay. When cell was treated with 100㎍/mL of SCR, HaCaT cell showed cell viability of 78.09 ± 0.1% and Raw264.7 cell showed cell viability of 91.88 ± 0.42%. From the above results, we have shown the possibility that the CSR have antioxidant ability, inhibition activity of collagenase and tyrosinase and cell safety ability which can be useful in a functional cosmetic material.

말기 암환자에 투여한 Heptaplatin의 신독성에 대한 후향적 평가 (Retrospective Evaluation of Heptaplatin Toxicities in Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer)

  • Heptaplatin, a new platinum derivative, has several contradicting reports on the nephrotoxicity. Therefore, the aim of this study is to compare the toxicities of heptaplatin-containing regimens in the chemotherapy. This study was performed retrospectively on seventy-seven patients with advanced gastric cancer who did not receive chemotherapy within the last 1 months before taking of heptaplatin- or cisplatin-containing chemotherapy. The 38 patients among total patients was received heptaplatin-containing regimens (26 with SEF regimens: heptaplatin/epirubicin/5-FU, 12 with SF regimens: heptaplatin/5-FU) and the rest 39 patients was received cisplatin-containg regimens (11 with CEF regimens: cisplatin/epirubicin/5-FU, 28 with ELF regimens: epirubicin/leucovorin/5-FU). Before and after the chemotherapy serum creatinine (Scr) and proteinuria were measured by urine stick test in all patient groups. Also Scr was measured a day before the second cycle and did not vary significantly between groups. However Scr on cycle 3 were significantly higher in SEF and SF groups. In case of proteinuria, it was more frequent on cycle 1 in heptaplatin/5-FU group. Proteinuria before and after on cycle 2 was not different between the two cisplatin -containing groups, but was more frequent in heptaplatin-containing groups. The reason why the Scr measured was not so different could be because we excluded the patients who received only one cycle of heptaplatin and changed the regimen due to signs of nephrotoxcity. As the results nephrotoxicity such as protienuria was appeared to be more frequent with heptaplatin-treated patients. It suggests that the clinical consequences of the toxicity need to further evaluation and also the modalities to prevent or minimize nephrotoxicity of heptaplatin should be studied for future utilization of the drug.

소성 및 산소농도 조건에 대한 Mn-Cu-TiO2 촉매의 탈질 특성 (NOx removal of Mn-Cu-TiO2 catalyst for the calcination and oxygen concentration conditions)

  • 본 Mn-Cu-$TiO_2$ Civil 촉매를 이용하여 질소산화물을 제거하는 $NH_3$-SCR 공정에서 소성조건 및 산소농도에 대한 영향을 연구하였다. 소성된 촉매시료를 사용하여 $H_2$-TPR 시스템에서 반응온도에 따른 수소전환특성을 조사하였으며, 소성조건에 대한 비표면적변화도 측정하였다. 실험결과 적합한 소성온도는 약 $300^{\circ}C$이며, 소성온도가 $500^{\circ}C$이상일 경우 Mn, Cu 성분의 저온활성이 크게 감소함을 알 수 있었다. SCR반응에서 기상산소는 중요한 반응변수이며 반응에 적합한 농도는 약 8vol%이었다.

타이타니아 담지 활성촉매에 따른 요소 수용액의 암모니아 전환 효율 비교 (Comparison of efficiencies of converting urea solution to ammonia depending on active catalyst metals on TiO2)

  • 본 연구에서는 질소산화물 제거용 환원제로 사용하는 요소 수용액을 암모니아로 전환하는데 있어 SCR 상용촉매의 활용가능성을 확인하기위해 촉매조성에 따른 반응온도, 공간속도의 영향에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 SCR 촉매로 널리 사용되는 $V_2O_5/TiO_2$ 촉매는 $TiO_2$$WO_3-V_2O_5/TiO_2$ 촉매에 비해 암모니아 생성이 우수함을 보였다. 활성금속을 담지하지 않은 $TiO_2$ 촉매는 $V_2O_5$ 혹은 $WO_3-V_2O_5$를 담지 한 촉매에 비해 공간속도에 따른 암모니아 전환에 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 활성금속을 담지 한 촉매는 공간속도가 증가함에 따라 암모니아 생성 농도가 감소됨을 확인하였다.
