A laser machining process has been applied in many manufacturing fields and it provides an excellent energy control for treating materials. However, a heat effect during laser machining can deteriorate material properties. Specifically, a thermally induced stress can be a problem in laser-machined structures on a metal surface. In this study, temperature and stress on cold-rolled carbon steel sheet machined with laser hole drilling were explored in an experimental approach and a numerical method. Stresses by temperature gradients inside the materials were generated in fast cooling. The stresses were measured by using a hole-drilling method and the material properties of carbon steel (SCP1-S) were obtained in the experiment. It was found that the stress predicted from the numerical analysis was in agreement with the stresses measured by using the hole-drilling method. The analysis can be applied for evaluating structure characteristics machined with a laser.
For the purpose of fixing solar energy and utilizing water wastes from food industries for SCP(single cell protein), 170 strains of photosynthetic bacteria were isolated from 56 samples. Among 170 strains, B-Ps-106 strain was selected as the most suitable strain and identified as a variant or a relation of Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroides and its growth was better under anaerobic light condition than aerobic condition. The optimum conditions of the cell growth of B-Ps-106 were investigated on soybean-curd whey media. The optimum pH for cell growth was $8.5{\sim}9.0$. The optimum temperature was $30^{\circ}C$ and the optimum light density was above $0.72\;cal/cm^2/min$. The most favorable concentration of $K_2HPO_4\;and\;(NH_4)_2SO_4$ was both 0.9 g/l when added to soybean-curd whey media.

In soft ground, There are many case that Bridge Abutment is constructed after soil improvement in order to reduce the Negative Friction and prevent from Lateral Soil movements of Bridge Abutment. That section of Horizontal Subgrade Reaction $Modulus(K_h)$ derivation has much important mean due to Horizontal Stability of Abutment. It is come from behavior of Pile and Soil within depth of $1/\beta$. After Soil Improvement, however, If Bridge Abutment was construction, It's not impossible to carry out Field Investigation After Ground of Improved at design stage. Therefore, It's not able to derivate Horizontal Subgrade Reaction $Modulus(K_h)$. Therefore, in this case of study compare with Field Construction Test Data in order to derivation of Horizontal Subgrade Reaction $Modulus(K_h)$ and Reliability in terms of ground of Bridge Abutment by Sand Compaction Pile(SCP) during design of The 2nd Bridge Connection Road of Incheon International Airport. In this paper determine, Soil Property(The rate of strength increase, $c_u$ so on) and Horizontal Subgrade Reaction $Modulus(K_h)$ after soil improvement at design stage.
Welding and joining technology has become a core field. Therefore it is more widely applied to nonferrous metals, inorganic and polymeric materials. That is because the high performance, high function and diversification trend of materials used as industrial technology develops. In the laser welding process, STS 304 and SCP1-S were used as the base materials, the output density was fixed $7MW/cm^2$, the protective gas was argon(Ar) and the transfer rate was fixed 5 mm/sec. and it was progressed while the magnetic field is gradually increasing by 100 mT ranging 0 to 400 mT. The tensile test showed in average about 6 % tensile strength improvement in the case of the laser welding process using the magnetic fields. In the shielded metal arc welding process using SPHC only or the combination of SPHC+STS304 as base materials. The electric current was set at 80 Amperes and the protective gas used argon(Ar) the same as the laser welding process and the strength of magnetic fields. In the shielded metal arc welding process using the magnetic fields, the tensile tests showed about 5 % tensile strength improvement in the case of using SPHC only, 3 % tensile strength improvement in the case of using the combination of SPHC+ STS304. In comparing the results of numerical analysis to the results of experimental tests, it was revealed that the temperature, thermal stress distribution and the behavior of molten pool were similar to those of real tests. Consequently, it may be considered that the numerical assumption and the analytical model used in this study were reasonable.

A methanol-assimilating yeast for the production of Single Cell Protein was isolated from the soil and identified. Methanol as a sole carbon source was used in this study. The strain was identified as Candida boidinii which grew best at the initial concentration of methanol at 2% , with the addition of 0.5% methanol at every 12 hours, The Single Cell Protein production was maximal after 72 hours of incubation at pH 5.0, $30^{\circ}C$. Thiamin and biotin were stimulated the growth of this yeast at the levels of $1000{\mu}g/{\ell}$ and $10{\mu}g/{\ell}$respectively.
Based on the findings of Lee et al.(2020) and Lee & Oh(2021), this paper aims to fill the gap in our knowledge regarding the relationship between strategic choices and corporate growth by utilizing a novel dataset of 'Unicorn' and 'Hyper-growing' companies. Two previous studies provide coherent findings that the relationship between firms' strategies and their performance should be explored under a more comprehensive framework with consideration of both internal and external factors. Therefore, in this study, we apply a single conceptual framework to two different datasets, which considers the strategy factors as independent variables, and the industry(market) and the firm age as moderating variables. For our dependent variables, valuations for unicorn companies and revenue CAGR for hyper-growing companies are used after categorizing them into three uniform groups. The strategy variables include 'Generic (Cost-leadership, Differentiation, focus) strategies', 'Growth(Organic, M&A) strategies', 'Leading(Pioneer, Fast-follower) strategies', 'Target market(B2B, B2C, B2G, C2C) strategies', 'Global(Global, Local) strategies', 'Digital(Online, Offline) strategies.' For industry(market) factors, it consists of historical growth rate for industries and economic, demographic, and regulatory aspects of states and countries. To overcome the differences in their units, they are also uniformly categorized into multiple groups. Before we conduct a regression analysis, we analyze the industry distribution of the 'Unicorn' and the 'Hyper-growing' companies with descriptive statistics at the integrated and individual levels. Next, we employ hierarchical regression models on Study A('Unicorn' companies in 2019) and Study B('Hyper-growing' companies in 2019) under the same comprehensive framework. We then analyze the relationship between the 'strategy' and the 'performance' factors with two different approaches: 1) an integrated regression model with both the sample of Study A and B and 2) respective regression models on Study A and B. This empirical study aims to provide a complete understanding and a reference to which strategy factors should be considered to promote firms' scale-up and growth.
Currently, the systems for culturing buffalo spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) in vitro are varied, and their effects are still inconclusive. In this study, we compared the effects of culture systems with undefined (foetal bovine serum) and defined (KnockOut Serum Replacement) materials on the in vitro culture of buffalo SSC-like cells. Significantly more DDX4- and UCHL1-positive cells (cultured for 2 days at passage 2) were observed in the defined materials culture system than in the undefined materials system (p < 0.01), and these cells were maintained for a longer period than those in the culture system with undefined materials (10 days vs. 6 days). Furthermore, NANOS2 (p < 0.05), DDX4 (p < 0.01) and UCHL1 (p < 0.05) were expressed at significantly higher levels in the culture system with defined materials than in that with undefined materials. Induction with retinoic acid was used to verify that the cultured cells maintained SSC characteristics, revealing an SCP3+ subset in the cells cultured in the defined materials system. The expression levels of Stra8 (p < 0.05) and Rec8 (p < 0.01) were significantly increased, and the expression levels of ZBTB16 (p < 0.01) and DDX4 (p < 0.05) were significantly decreased. These findings provided a clearer research platform for exploring the mechanism of buffalo SSCs in vitro.

Starchy single cell protein produced by a starch-utilizing yeast, Sporobolomyces holsaticus FRI Y-5 was analyzed for its composition such as intracellular protein, amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins and pigments. It was shown that it contained 33.08% of total carbohydrate, 45.63% of crude protein, 20.01% of crude lipid, 3.24% of ash and 4.46% of pigment. Whole cell extracted by cold and hot NaOH method contained 40.89% of soluble protein and the estimated nucleic acid content from crude and soluble protein contents was about 7.6%. The sulphur-containing amino acids, threonine, isoleucine and valine were analyzed to be the limiting amino acids in the starchy SCP, and the protein score was calculated as 89.4. It was shown from its fatty acid analysis that it contained $6.5%\;of\;C_{16:0}$, $2.4%\;of\;C_{18:0}$, $81.9%\;of\;C_{18:1}$, $3.2%\;of\;C_{18:2}$, and $6.0%\;of\;C_{18:3}$. Also it was observed that it contained, per 100 g of dry cell, 365.33mg of Mg and 282.75mg of K more than Fe and Ca. The content of Vit. $B_2$ was 3.7mg per 100 g of dry cell, but niacin was not detected under this experimental condition. The UV-visible scanning result of pigment extract showed that the yeast contained carotenoid and unknown pigments.
Effect of four nematicidal herbal extracts (Daphne genkwa, Eugenia caryophyllata, Quisqualis indica and Zingiber officinale) and 3 acricidal herbal extracts (Pharbitis nil, Xanthium strumarium, and Desmodium caudatum) on entomopathobenic nematodes [Steinernema carpocapsae Pocheon strain (ScP) and Heterorhabditis sp. Gyeongsan strain (HG)], silkworm (Bombyx mori), and ground beetles (Synuchus sp.) were investigated in the laboratory and field. D. genkwa was highly toxic to SCP and HG (100% mortality) at the concentration of 5,000 ppm in X-plate. All the infective juveniles of HG were dead after 3 days by E. caryophyllata and Q. indica. The mortality of ScP and HG was below 10% by D. genkwa, D. caudatum, E. caryophyllata, Q. indica and Z. officinale at the concentration of 1,000 ppm two days after treatment while mortality of HG was 62.8% by D. genkwa at the concentration of 1,000 ppm in X-plate. However, 1,000 ppm had not effect on nematode survival and pathogenicity of ScP in sand column. On the contrary, E. caryophyllata had effect on pathogenicity of HG. Mean number of dead Galleria mellonella larva of HG was 0.5 in E. caryophyllata treatment. Q. indica did not effect silkworm reared on mulberry leaves at the treatment of 1,000 ppm in 10 days after treatment. However, there were 20.0 and 100% mortalities in the treatment of D. genkwa 3 and 10 days after treatment, respectively. The weight of silkworm was low in D. genkwa and did not pupate. The weight of pupa and cocoon were not different in E. caryophyllata, P. nil, Q. indica, X. strumarium and Z. officinale. D. genkwa, E. caryophyllata, P. nil, Q. indica and Z. officinale had no effect on ground beetles, Synuchus sp. in forest soil.
Experiments were carried out to establish the effects of acids in neutralization after alkaline treatment of rice straw, with which cellulosic single cell protein can be produced by cellulose utilizing bacteria, Cellulomonas flavigena KIST 321, previously isolated by authors. Following results were obtained. 1. Rice straw as carbon source was pretreated with 10 volumes of 1 normality of NH$_4$OH or NaOH(NaOH/substrate:40%, and then washed with water or neutralized with H$_3$PO$_4$, H$_2$SO$_4$, HCl and CH$_3$COOH. Among the above mentioned methods, neutralization with H$_3$PO$_4$after alkaline treatment was proved to be the most effective on its digestibility and SCP production. Dry cell 12.28g/$\ell$ and 78% digestibility were obtained. 2. When rice straw was treated with NaOH solution, the result suggested that the productibity of cell-mass was attained on treatment of rice straw with 6% of NaOH (NaOH/substrate ratio) for 15~24hrs at room temperature. 3. When rice straw was treated with NaOH, a volume of water to substrate is adequate by two or three fold and the amount of NaOH can be economized up to 5% for the weight of rice straw. 4. The steaming of rice straw at 121$^{\circ}C$ for 30min. in alkaline treatment of rice straw gave the similiar effectiveness to that at room temperature for 15~24hrs. and accelerated the sterilization of the substrate. 5. Finally, the level of inorganic phosphate in a medium was investigated. 11.2g of dry cell was produced at the concentration of 0.2%, phosphate (phosphorous level 0.04%) in medium even though treated rice straw was neutralized with HCI instead of H$_3$PO$_4$, and 12.2g/$\ell$ at the concentration of 0.3% phosphate (phosphorous 0.04%) on neutralization with H$_2$SO$_4$.
