  • We developed a Off-Line Graphic Simulator which can simulate a robot model in 3D graphics space in Windows 95 version. 4 axes SCARA robot was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 95's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D graphics.

  • Sliding Mode Controller is largely used to control holy nonlinear system such as robot manipulator. This paper simulate the SCARA robot with sliding mode control algorithm and its applied form with saturation term to reduce chattering. In addition, hardware system using DSP board which operates with high speed is constructed.

  • This paper aims at finding out dominant robot configurations with maximal position errors, which can be attributed to the parameter errors, by using Monte-Carlo simulation for error analysis of a 3-axis SCARA(Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm) type robot. In particular, the Monte-Carlo simulation is used for virtually measuring on the position errors, instead of physical measurement. In order to measure the observability of the model parameters with respect to a set of robot configurations, we propose the observability index which is defined as the product of singular values for error propagation matrices. Thus the index can be used for discriminating dominant robot configurations from a set of simulated ones in conjunction with standard deviation of positional errors, This paper analyzed error by robot positional error.

  • In this paper, a programming system for SCARA-type robots is designed, consisting of robot language, computational facilities and programming tools for handling interconnection environments. In designing the robot language, CLRC(C Library for Robot Control) is introduced, using the general-purpose language 'C' as base programming language. Also the motion primitives for Continuous Path control as well as Point-To-Point motion arc included. By means of frame and homogeneous transformations the system is capable of applying the SCARA-type robot efficiently and easily for any given task.

  • We propose a remote controller for a SCARA typed direct drive manipulator with two degrees-of-freedom(DOF). A remote controller system for SCARA robot of DDA is designed using a 2 DSP (TMS320c31) board and Winsock(Internet program class library supplied by Microsoft). The design objective of the system is to implement real time dynamic control algorithms which have been tested only by simulations so far and remote control regardless of the distance between user and robot. Because this system runs on Win95, we developed a VxD program to communicate with DSP controller.

  • The Direct Arm(DDA) is a SCARA typed direct drive manipulator with three degree of freedom(DOF) using the direct motor of the NSK company. In the paper, we propose a convenient interface for the SCARA-type robot which is practical to use. The proposed Visual Robot Teaching Mode using 3D graphics replaces the current teaching box. And besides this graphical teaching software can be implemented on the PC which is company used as a robot controller. This program was developed for the Windows 95 OS.

  • 본 논문은 작업공간을 공유하는 두 대의 스카라 로봇으로 이루어진 Dual-Arm SCARA 로봇 시스템과 여러 대의 로봇을 제어할수 있는 로봇제어기로 동시에 독립적인 작업을 하는 경우 두 로봇의 동작에 따른 로봇 ARM의 모델링을 실시간으로 처리하여 상대 로봇과의 충돌이 예상되는지를 실시간 검색하여 두 로봇간의 충돌이 발생하지 않도록 하는 충돌검출 방법과, 두 대의 로봇이 충돌가능성으로 인하여 원하는 작업을 수행할수 없는 상태가 되는 경우 작업을 원활하게 이루어지도록 하는 충돌회피를 위한 로봇의 궤적을 생성하여 로봇을 이동시키고 다시 원래의 위치로 돌아 올수 있는 방법을 구현하였다.

  • This paper presents two methods for reducing the position error of the robot hand. The first method change the parameters of the D-H transformation using real position error. The other one calibrates the joint angle by using the datas from the known teaching points. SCARA type robot is used for verifing the validity of the proposed methods.
