국내산 원유 중 비타민 A, E, $B_l$$B_2$ 함량에 관한 연구 (Composition of Vitamin A, E, $B_l$ and $B_2$ Contents in Korean Cow's Raw Milk in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 2003년 7월에서 2004년 6월까지 충청도와 전라도 지역에서 집유한 원유의 비타민 A, E, $B_l$$B_l$ 함량을 1년간 분석함으로써 우유에 함유된 비타민의 최근 동향 및 계절적 변화를 조사하고자 연구를 진행하였다. 이 중 지용성 비타민 A와 E의 함량에는 계절적 변화가 있었으며, 비타민 A의 경우 봄($3월{\sim}5월$)은 $35.1{\sim}59.0{\mu}g/100mL$로 평균 $44.4{\mu}g/100mL$, 여름($6{\sim}8월$)은 $36.7{\sim}65.6{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $50.0{\mu}g/100 mL$, 가을($9월{\sim}11월$)은 $28.7{\sim}61.2{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $46.8{\mu}g/100 mL$이었으며, 겨울($12월{\sim}2월$)은 $29.9{\sim}57.8{\mu}g/100mL$로 평균 $43.1{\mu}g/100 mL$를 나타내어 우유 중 비타민 A함량은 여름철이 가장 높고, 겨울철이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 비타민 E의 경우 봄($3월{\sim}5월$)은 $28.3{\sim}59.2 {\mu}g/100 mL$ 로 평균 $45.8 {\mu}g/100 mL$, 여름($6월{\sim}8월$)은 $39.6{\sim}69.9 {\mu}g/100mL$로 평균 $58.8{\mu}g/100 mL$, 가을($9월{\sim}11월$)은 $35.0{\sim}62.8{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $46.2{\mu}g/100 mL$이었으며, 겨울($12월{\sim}2월$)은 $26.0{\sim}55.4{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $41.5 {\mu}g/100 mL$이었다. 분석결과에서 알 수 있듯이 원유 중 비타민 E함량은 여름철이 가장 높고, 겨울철이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 수용성 비타민 $B_l$$B_2$의 경우는 계절에 따른 변화가 없었으며(p<0.05), 비타민 $B_l$의 경우 봄($3월{\sim}5월$)은 $27.7{\sim}57.9{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $42.84{\mu}g/100 mL$, 여름($6월{\sim}8월$)은 $32.4{\sim}66.1{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $49.39{\mu}g/100 mL$, 가을($9월{\sim}11월$)은 $34.1{\sim}63.7{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $46.69{\mu}g/100 mL$이었으며, 겨울($12월{\sim}2월$)은 $20.6{\sim}61.4{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균$43.26{\mu}g/100 mL$로 측정되었다. 비타민 $B_2$의 경우는 봄($3월{\sim}5월$)은 $150{\sim}182{\mu}g/100 mL$ 로 평균 $166{\mu}g/100 mL$, 여름($6월{\sim}8월$)에는 $145{\sim}185 {\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $163 {\mu}g/100 mL$, 가을($9월{\sim}11월$)은 $149{\sim}180{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $166{\mu}g/100 mL$이었으며 겨울($12월{\sim}2월$)은 $148{\sim}190{\mu}g/100 mL$로 평균 $167{\mu}g/100 mL$로 측정되었다.

수종치과매몰재(數種齒科埋沒材)의 열팽창계수(熱膨脹係數)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL EXPANSION OF DENTAL INVESTMENTS)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure thermal expansions of dental investments, Biovest(Casting Investment. Dentsply International INC, U.S.A.), Multi-Best (Use for all dental chrome-cobalt alloys, The Ransom & Randolph Co. U.S.A.), Kerr(Inlay Investment. Sybron Kerr, U.S.A.), O. K. (Inlay Investment. Shofu Dental MFG, Co. Japan), Whip-Mix (Cristobalite Inlay Investment. Whip-Mix Corporation. U.S.A.). Thermal expansion of specimens(5mm in diameter and 50mm in length) was measured by a dilatometer at the temperature range from $20^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$ by comparing expansion between standardized quartz and experimental specimens with heating rate about $300^{\circ}C$/hr. The following results were obtained. 1. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Biovest was $15{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 18/100 and $14{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 28/100. Those of Multi-Best were $9{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 14/100 and $7{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 24/100. 2. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Kerr were $17{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 38/100 and $14{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}c$ in the water powder ratio 48/100. Those of O. K. were $9{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 33/100 and $7{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ratio 43/100 3. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Whip-Mix were $14{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ in the water powder ritio 40/100 and $12{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}c$ Fein the water powder ratio 50/100. Those of Hi-Heat were $11{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}c$ in the water powder ratio 28/100 and $10{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}c$ in the water powder ratio 38/100.

Unique epithelial expression of S100A calcium binding protein A7A in the endometrium at conceptus implantation in pigs

  • Objective: S100A7A, a member of the S100 protein family, is involved in various biological processes, including innate immunity, antimicrobial function, and epithelial tumorigenesis. However, the expression and function of S100A7A in the endometrium during the estrous cycle and pregnancy are not well understood in pigs. Therefore, this study determined the expression and regulation of S100A7A at the maternal-conceptus interface in pigs. Methods: We obtained endometrial tissues from pigs throughout the estrous cycle and pregnancy, conceptus tissues during early pregnancy, and chorioallantoic tissues during midto late pregnancy and analyzed the expression of S100A7A in these tissues. We also determined the effects of steroid hormones, estradiol-$17{\beta}$ ($E_2$) and progesterone, and interleukin-$1{\beta}$ (IL1B) on S100A7A expression in endometrial tissues. Results: We found that S100A7A was expressed in the endometrium during the estrous cycle and pregnancy in a pregnancy status- and stage-dependent manner and was localized to endometrial luminal epithelial (LE) and superficial glandular epithelial cells with strong intensity in LE cells on day 12 of pregnancy. Early stage conceptuses and chorioallantoic tissues from day 30 to term pregnancy also expressed S100A7A. The expression of S100A7A was increased by $E_2$ and IL1B in endometrial tissues. Conclusion: S100A7A was expressed at the maternal-conceptus interface at the initiation of implantation in response to conceptus-derived estrogen and IL1B and could be a unique endometrial epithelial marker for conceptus implantation in pigs. These findings provide an important insight into the understanding of conceptus-endometrial interactions for the successful establishment of pregnancy in pigs.

숫자 1, 9, 9, 6을 이용하여 1에서 100까지 만들기 과제 적용 결과 분석 (Result Analysis on Making Activities 1 to 100 with digits 1, 9, 9, 6)

  • 초등학교 6학년을 대상으로 6회 총 120분 동안 숫자 1, 9, 9, 6을 활용해서 1에서 100까지 수를 만들게하는 활동을 한 결과를 제시하고 분석하였다. 이 퍼즐과제 활동 결과 분석을 통해 학습자의 수학적 사고의 실행과 형성과정 및 수학적 성향의 변화과정을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 이 과제에서 아이들은 협동의 이점을 알게 되었고 수학적 의사소통의 중요성도 경험하는 계기가 되었다. 무엇보다도 지수, 제곱근, 가우스 함수의 아이디어가 먼저 제시되고, 후속학습이 일어났다. 학습자가 계산기 사용과 수식표현간의 관계와 계산기로 지수와 제곱근의 의미를 구성하는 데에 계산기가 활용될 수 있음을 보여주었다.

한국인 모유의 수유기간별 비중, 충고형분 및 단백질 함량의 변화 (Changes in Specific Gravity, Total Solid and Protein Contents of Human Milk During the Course of Lactation in Korean Women)

  • 수유기간의 경과에 따른 모유중의 비중, 총고형분, 단백질 함량 변화를 살펴 보고자 수유부 27명을 대상으로 분만후 15일부터 150일까지 추적하여 채취한 총112개 모유시료로 부터 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 즉 모유 비중의 경시적인 변화는 15일경에 1.0298(S.D. 0.0044, n=25), 30일경에 1.0304(S.D. 0.0046, n=24), 60일경에 1.0270(S.D. 0.0035, n=20) 90일경에 1.0293(S.D. 0.0055, n=18), 120일경에 1.0254(S.D. 0.0038, n=16), 150일경에 1.0268(S.D. 0.0039, n=9)로서 나타났고 수유기간이 경과함에 따라 유의하게 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 총고형분은 모유 100$m\ell$중에 15일 경에 12.48g(S.D. 1.23, n=25), 30일경에 12.31g(S.D. 1.31, n=24) 60일경에 12.47g (S.D. 1.45, n=20), 90일경에 11.81g (S.D. 1.85, n=18), 120일경에 11.44g(S.D. 0.92, n=16) 150일경에 11.88 (S.D. 0.89, n=9)으로 나타났고 수유기간의 경과에 따른 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았다. 모유 100$m\ell$중 단백질함량은 1.07~1.46g의 범위였고, 수유기간별 변화는 15일경에 1.46g (S.D. 0.20, n=25), 30일 경에 1.32g (S.D. 0.19, n=24) 60일경에 1.15g (S.D. 0.10, n=20), 90일경에 1.09g (S.D. 0.17, n=18), 120일경에 1.11g (S.D. 0.17, n=16), 150일 경에 1.07g (S.D. 0.18, n=9)으로 수유기간이 경과 함에 따라 유의하게 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 수유기간 15, 30, 50, 90, 120, 150일에 수집한 모유시료 전체의 총평균 단백질함량은 1.20g (S.D. 0.14, n=27, 총시료수 112)로 나타났다.

  • The concentrations of some components of the serum in a liver function test were determined in samples of 74 apparently healthy dairy cattle, imported from foreign countries in Jeonnam district, during the periods of June to September of 1975 and July to August of 1976. The ranges, mean concentrations and activities of the SGOT, SGPT, SALP, thymol turbidity, total protein, serum albumin, serum globulin, A/G ratio, total bilirubin and total cholesterol were investigated in this work. This results obtained in the survey were summarized as follows: 1. The SGOT activities obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 57 to 129 Sigma Frankel units/ml, with a mean of $96.5{\pm}19.38$ S.F. units/ml. 2. The SGPT activities obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 5 to 49 Sigma Frankel units/ml, with a mean of $21.27{\pm}9.52$ S.F units/ml. 3. The alkaline phosphatase activities of serum obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 0.3 to 3.8 Sigma Frankel units/ml, with a mean of $1.88{\pm}0.94$ S.F. units/ml. 4. The thymol turbidity of serum obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 0.2 to 4.4 Shank Hoagland units/ml, with a mean of $1.69{\pm}0.30$ S.H units/ml. 5. The total serum protein values of Holstein cows ranged from 5.9 to 8.6g/100ml with a mean of $7.17{\pm}0.65g/100ml$. 6. The serum albumin values of Holstein cows ranged from 2.5 to 4.3g/100ml with a mean of $3.24{\pm}0.28g/100ml$. 7. The serum globulin values of Holstein cows ranged from 2.9 to 5.8g/100ml with a mean of $4.02{\pm}0.72g/100ml$. 8. The A/G ratio of serum obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 0.5 to 1.0 with a mean of $0.78{\pm}0.12$. 9. The total bilirubin of serum obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 7.2 to 0.8mg/100ml, with a mean of $0.32{\pm}0.11mg/100ml$. 10. The total cholesterol of serum obtained from Holstein cows ranged from 50.5 to 240.6mg/100ml with a mean of $135.70{\pm}57.44mg/100ml$. 11. There was little difference in the concentrations of the various serum components between cow groups by birth countries and total cow group, except for SGOT activities, serum alkaline phosphatase activities, thymol turbidity of the Holstein cows from New Zealand.

Salmonella typhi KNIH100으로부터 aroA 유전자의 클로닝과 염기서열 분석 (Cloning and Nucleotide Sequence Analysis of the aroA Gene from Salmonella typhi KNIH100)

  • 장티푸스는 Salmonella typhi에 의해 유발되는 장감염성 질환으로 사람과 동물에 공통되는 질병이다. 본 연구에서는 국립보건원과 공동연구를 수행하여 한국형 장티푸스 유발균인 S. typhi KNIH100을 분리하였다. 분리된 S. typhi KNIH100의 염색체 DNA로부터 방향족 아미노산의 생합성에 관여하는 효소인 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthetase를 암호화하는 aroA 유전자를 포함하는 약 5.0 kb의 SalI절편을 pBluescriptII SK(+) vector와 aroA 돌연변이주인 E. coli CGSC2829를 이용하여 클로닝하였다. 그리고 이 클론을 pSAL80이라 명명하였다. 클로닝된 재조합 plasmid인 pSAL80에는 ATG 개시코돈과 TGA 종결코돈을 포함하는 1,284 염기로 구성된 aroA 유전자가 위치하고 있었으며, 다른 장내세균과 마찬가지로 serC와 하나의 오페론을 구성하고 있음을 밝혔다. 또한 S. typhi Ty2, S. typhimurium, 그리고 E. coli 등 다른 장내세균의 aroA 유전자와 상동성을 비교하여 본 결과 각각 99%, 95%, 77%의 상동성을 나타내었다.

항암제 취급간호사의 항암제 체내흡수에 관한 조사 (Biological Monitoring on the Absorption of Antineoplastic Drugs in Nursing Personnel)

  • Antineoplastic agents may exhibit effects not only in patients therapeutically exposed, but also in health workers who prepare and administer these drugs. This study was done to clarify whether nurses who handle anticancer drugs show signs of drug absorption. The experimental group was 14 nurses handling anticancer drugs at three medical wards of a hospital in J city ; the control group was 12 psychiatric nurses at the same hospital. The test materials were the nurses' 24hr urine specimens, which were concentrated by XAD-2 column chromatograpy. Tester strains were TA98(±S9mix), TA100(±S9 mix), TA1535(±S9 mix) and TA1537(±S9 mix) : the salmonella mammalian microsomal test (Ames test) was used for the urinary mutagenicity assay. The results are summarized as follow : 1. In qualitative analysis of the results, both experimental group and control group showed 15.4% urine toxicity. 2. The experimental group revealed significantly higher urinary mutagenicity both in the activation method test and non-activation method test of the tester strains TA98, TA100 and TA1535. In the case of TA1537, the two groups showed no difference in the non-activation method test, but the activation method revealed a difference. 3. In urinary mutagenicity of the experimental group by ward career, there was a significant difference between the group with more than 20 months experience and the group with less than 20 months on the tester strains TA98, TA100, and TA1537. No Significant difference was found between two groups by the tester strain TA1535.

Cu0.1Fe0.9Cr2S4의 결정학적 및 자기적 성질에 관한 연구 (Crystallographic and Magnetic Properties of Cu0.1Fe0.9Cr2S4)

  • Cu$_{0.1}$Fe$_{0.9}$Cr$_2$S$_4$에 대하여 x-선 회절기(XRD), 진동 시료 자화율 측정기(VSM), Mossbauer 분광기, 자기저항(Magnetoresistance;MR)법을 이용하여 시료의 결정학적 및 자기적 특성을 연구하였다. 결정구조는 cubic spinel 구조이며, 격자 상수는 a$_{0}$=9.9880 $\AA$이었다. 자기저항(MR)실험 결과 110 K 이하에서는 반도체적 거동을, 100 K 이상에서는 도체적인 거동을 보인다. VSM 실험결과 100 Oe 인가 자장 하에서 zero-field-cooling(ZFC)와 field-cooling(FC) 사이에 커다란 비가역적 첨점 형태가 관측되었다. 5 kOe인가 자장 하에서 포화자화값이 온도 상승과 더불어 110 K 까지 증가되는 현상이 관측되었다. 15 K∼300 K의 온도 범위에 걸쳐서 Mossbauer스펙트럼을 분석한 결과 전기사중극자 분열치가 Neel온도 이하에서 나타나기 시작하여 온도가 하강하면서 점차 증가하고 공명선의 선폭이 비대칭적으로 굵어짐을 볼 수 있었다. 이것은 동적 Jahn-Teller뒤틀림이 일어나고 있는 것으로 해석된다. Fe 이온의 전하상태는 +2이며, 초미세 자기장은 온도가 상승함에 따라 극저온에서 100 K 부근까지 증가하다가 감소하는 현상이 나타났다. 이것은 반대방향의 orbital current field(H$_{L}$)와 Fermi contact field(H$_{C}$) 사이의 상쇄효과로 해석된다.

소와 돼지유래 살모넬라속균의 약계내성유전자의 특성에 관한 연구 (Investigation on antimicrobial resistance genes of Salmonella spp. isolated from pigs and cattle)

  • At the present study, it was aimed to detect virulence genes and antimicrobial resistance genes among 102 strains of 12 Salmonella serotypes isolated from pigs and cattle. In polymerase chain reaction (PCR), invA was detected from all strains of Salmonella spp., spvC was detected from Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) (100%), S. Bradenburg (75%), and S. Typhimurium (20.4%). Drug resistance related genes of 12 types were detected from all strains. TEM ($bla_{TEM}$) gene was detected from 51 (92.7%) of 55 $\beta$-lactams (54 ampicillin or 1 amoxicillin) resistance strains. 55 (100%) of 55 chloramphenicol resistance strains, 3 (100%) of 3 gentamicin resistance strains and 5 (100%) of 5 kanamycin resistance strains did contain cml, aadB, and aphA1-Iab, respectively. strB (89.9%), strA (88.4%), aadA2 (84.1%) and aadA1 (72.5%) were detected from 69 streptomycin resistance strains. sulII and dhfrXII were detected from 49 (100%) of 49 sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim resistance strains, but sulI was not detected. tetA (97.9%) and tetB (21.6%) were detected from 97 tetracycline resistance strains. int gene was detected from 58 (56.9%) of 102 strains. 54 S. Typhimurium of 102 Salmonella spp. were attempted to detect drug resistance genes. TEM was detected from 44 (95.7%) of 46 $\beta$-lactams (45 ampicillin or 1 amoxicillin) resistance strains. cmlA was detected from 51 (100%) of 51 chloramphenicol resistance strains. aadA2 (100%), strA (100%), strB (100%), and aadA1 (79.6%) were detected from 54 streptomycin resistance strains. sulII (100%) and dhfrXII (100%) were detected from 49 sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim resistance strains. tetA was detected from 54 (100%) of 54 tetracycline resistance strains. int gene was detected from 54 (100%) of 54 strains. The major drug resistance pattern and resistance gene profile were ampicillin, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and tetracycline (ACSSuT) and TEM, cmlA, aadA1, aadA2, strA, strB, sulII, dhfrXII, tetA and int, respectively.
