  • In this study, the ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorbers mixed Ni-Zn ferrite and $Ni_2Y$ ferroxplana were prepared in order to control matching condion. The variation of the material constants($\dot{\varepsilon}$, $\dot{\mu}$) and microwave absorbing characteristics were investigated with various ferrite mixing ratio. The material constants of ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorber could be controlled by variation ferrite mixing radio. The matching frequency and thickness could be controlled with various ferrite mixing ratio.

  • 본 연구는 페라이트의 Fe 양이온 일부를 Ni, Mn, Co등으로 치환하여 M-ferrites를 제조하여 열화학적 2단계 물 분해 반응의 특성을 비교 평가하였고, XRD, SEM, GC등의 분석으로 각 금속산화물의 특성을 확인하였다. M-ferrites는 고상법으로 제조하였다. 각각의 M-ferrites에 대한 열적환원은 1573K에서 진행하였고 물 분해 반응은 1273K에서 실시하였다. 이 반응에서 생성된 가스는 전량 포집하여 GC를 통해 분석하였다. 반응 전후의 시료에 대하여 SEM, XRD를 분석하여 GC결과와 함께 금속산화물의 산화환원반응 특성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과로서 물 분해 반응 후 M-ferrite (M=Co, Ni, Mn)의 생성을 XRD를 통하여 확인할 수 있었고, 물 분해 반응과의 비교결과 격자상수의 증대가 M-ferrite내의 산소의 환원에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. SEM결과에서는 4cycle의 물 분해 반응 후 Mn-ferrite의 심한 sintering 현상을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we studied the relation between using amount of Ferrite and electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite. The variation of using amount of Ferrite have been 52 wt.% ~ 62 wt.%. As s result, it has been shown that the electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite are related to the using amount of Ferrite in composite. And, we can control electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite by the control of using amount of Ferrite.

  • In this paper, we studied the relation between heat-treatment temperature of ferrite and electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite. The heat-treatment temperatures of ferrite are 1200 and $1300^{\circ}C$, 2 hr. As s result. it has been shown that the optimum heat-treatment temperature of ferrite for electromagnetic wave absorber are related to the chemical composition. And, we can control electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite by the control of heat-treatment temperature of ferrite.

  • The vibration-proof material normally used in structural components of precision machinery or measuring instruments requires higher damping in vibration and better characteristics in dimensional stability and rigidity to accomplish the quality assurance of the products. In this study the ferrite-resin material, which is the mixture of epoxy resin and the oxidized steel (Fe$_{3}$O$_{4}$: ferrite) in consideration of characteristics of aggregator and binder, is developed and investigated as one of vibration-proof materials. Four kinds of composite plates for experiments are made by adding another filler materials such as steel powder, granite powder and carbon-fiber sheet to the basic ferrite-resin matrix. Their characteristics are compared with a cast iron specimen which has the same bending rigidity as other specimens. The ferrite-resin material gives the best damping effect in the motor-induced vibration test. Therefore, the material can be applied to the manufacturing industry for vibration damping of machine elements.

  • The magnetic thin films can be prepared without vacuum process and under the low temperature ( < $100^{\circ}C$) by ferrite plating. We have performed ferrite plating of $Fe_{3-x}Mn_{x}O_4(x=0.0~0.023)$ films on glass plate at $80^{\circ}C$. We got the film $9000\AA$ in thickness, having a mirror-like luster. The composition parameter, x, in the $Fe_{3-x}Mn_{x}O_4$ films is much smaller then the corresponding on, x', in the reaction solution(x/x'=O.04). The saturation magnetization($M_{s}$) of $Fe_{3}O_{4}$ ferrite film as measured by a VSM was $M_{s}$=480 emu/cc which agrees with $Fe_{3}O_{4}$ bulk samples.

  • We prepared paint-type and sheet-type EM wave absorbers with Mn-Zn Ferrite, Ni-Zn Ferrite, Ba Ferrite, Sr Ferrite, and Sendust against ghosts of a mater in ships. To prepare the absorbers, enamel paint and epoxy paint were used as binders. The prepared EM wave absorber's absorption properties were investigated. The prepared EM wave absorbers have 6 dB over in 2 GHz ${\sim}$ 4 GHz. We compared properties of wave absorption between paint-type and spray-type
