Single-port video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) has slowly established itself as an alternate surgical approach for the treatment of an increasingly wide range of thoracic conditions. The potential benefits of fewer surgical incisions, better cosmesis, and less postoperative pain and paraesthesia have led to the technique's popularity worldwide. The limited single small incision through which the surgeon has to operate poses challenges that are slowly being addressed by improvements in instrument design. Of note, instruments and video-camera systems that are narrower and angulated have made single-port VATS major lung resection easier to perform and learn. In the future, we may see the development of subcostal or embryonic natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery access, evolution in anaesthesia strategies, and cross-discipline imaging-assisted lesion localization for single-port VATS procedures.

Inhibition performance of Lornoxicam & Tenoxicam against corrosion of carbon steel in 1M $H_2SO_4$ solutions was investigated by weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The inhibition efficiency increased with increasing inhibitor's concentration, but decreased with increase in temperature. Potentiodynamic polarization curves showed that, the inhibitors were of mixed type. The apparent activation energy ($E^*_a$) and other thermodynamic parameters for the corrosion process have also been calculated and discussed. The inhibition of carbon steel corrosion is due to the adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the surface, which follows Temkin adsorption isotherm. The mechanism of inhibition was discussed in the light of the chemical structure of the undertaken inhibitors.

A male patient with subnormal intelligence and schizoaffective symptoms was confirmed to have Klinefelter's syndrome with the karyotype of 47,XXY by the chromosomal analysis. He was shown to have a peculiar appearance of tall height, long extremities, gynecomastia and small ears. The hormonal study revealed decreased testosterone and increased FSH concentrations in the serum of the patient. He was also found to have small testes by the ultrasonography, which seemed to be sterile by the semen analysis. We reported this rare case and reviewed related articles.

Objective: This study aimed to explore marital satisfaction changes of married couples from childbirth to 5 years postpartum using the data from the Panel Study of Korean Children 2008-2012. Methods: A total of 2,072 coupes were followed longitudinally during the first 5 years after childbirth. Their repeatedly measured marital satisfaction were analyzed with growth modeling analyses. Results: Husbands and wives had different marital satisfaction trajectories regarding the rate of change and initial marital satisfaction scores. Further, the facets of postpartum marital satisfactions change varied depending on the couples' first, second, and third (or more) birth(s). Conclusion: In general, Korean married couples' marital satisfaction has a decreasing tendency after childbirth. Fathers' marital satisfaction is generally higher but more rapidly decreases compared to mothers' marital satisfaction. Also, couples after first child birth experience a faster decline of marital satisfaction compared to couples after second or third (or more) birth(s).

In order to identify the protein(s) secreted into culture medium by the sool-l/retl-l mutation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, proteins from the culture medium of cells grown at permissive (28$^{\circ}C$) and non-permissive temperatures (37$^{\circ}C$), were analyzed. Comparison of protein bands separated by SDS-PAGE identified a prominent band of 47-kDa band from a mutant grown at 37$^{\circ}C$. N-terminal amino acid sequencing of this 47-kDa protein showed high identity with enolases 1 and 2. Western blot analysis revealed that most of the cell wall-bound enolase was released into the culture medium of the mutant grown at 37$^{\circ}C$, some of which were separated as those with lower molecular weights. Our results, presented here, indicate the impairment of cell wall enolase biogenesis and assembly by the sool-l/retl-l mutation of S. cerevisiae.

이 보고서에서는 최근에 저자 등이 5-100단백질을 함유하고 있는 아주 드문 폐 실질안의 신경종양을 경험하 였기에 보고하고자 한다. 이 환자는 47세 남자로 평소 증상은 없었으나, 신체검사에서 우연히 발견된 좌측 폐문의 종피를 주소로 내원한 자이다 이 종괴의 정확한 진단 및 치료를 위하여 수술을 시행하였으며, 병리 조직학적 검사에서 원발성 폐실질내 신경초종으로 판명되었다. 특수염색검사에서 종양안의 5-100단백질의 존재를 확인할 수 있었다.

U-대역 MMIC 전력증폭기 특성 측정에 사용될 도파관-마이크로스트립간의 트랩지션을 설계 제작하였다. 광대역 정합특성을 얻기 위해 릿지 도파관을 사용한 ${\lambda}$/4 Tchebyscheff 임피던스 변환기를 트랜지션 임피던스 변환부에 적용하였다. 설계된 Transition은 Supper-Compact을 사용하여 40GHZ-48GHZ 대역에서 Su이 -28dB 이하가 되도록 최적설계하였다. 40GHZ-47GHZ 범위에서 측정된 Transition Insertion Loss는 약 0.3dB Return Loss는 25dB 로 나타났다.

We report a case of successful endovascular treatment of a pseudoaneurysm and the obstruction of an aorto-aortic bypass graft, which had been performed to treat Takayasu's arteritis fifteen years prior, at the thoracic aorta. Along with the immediate relief of proximal hypertension that had caused severe heart failure, the successful exclusion of the pseudoaneurysm and the patency of the stem graft were maintained three years after the procedure.
