  • This work describes an 8b 240 MS/s CMOS ADC as one of embedded core cells for high-performance displays requiring low power and small size at high speed. The proposed ADC uses externally connected pins only for analog inputs, digital outputs, and supplies. The ADC employs (1) a two-step pipelined architecture to optimize power and chip size at the target sampling frequency of 240 MHz, (2) advanced bootstrapping techniques to achieve high signal bandwidth in the input SHA, and (3) RC filter-based on-chip I/V references to improve noise performance with a power-off function added for portable applications. The prototype ADC is implemented in a 0.18 um CMOS and simultaneously integrated in a DVD system with dual-mode inputs. The measured DNL and INL are within 0.49 LSB and 0.69 LSB, respectively. The prototype ADC shows the SFDR of 53 dB for a 10 MHz input sinewave at 240 MS/s while maintaining the SNDR exceeding 38 dB and the SFDR exceeding 50 dB for input frequencies up to the Nyquist frequency at 240 MS/s. The ADC consumes, 104 mW at 240 MS/s and the active die area is 1.36 ㎟.

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the antioxidant enzyme (superoxide dismutase, SOD; glutathione, GSH; glutathione peroxidase, GPx) activities in liver and gill of rock bream, Oplegnathus fasciatus fed the experimental diets for 40 days. The experimental diets were prepared by adding with 30, 60 120 and 240 mg/kg to a commercial diet. In the liver, there were significant increases in SOD at 30~240 mg/kg. GPx activities of liver also were significantly increased at 30~120 mg/kg. The increased activities of SOD and GSH in the gills were observed in the 120 and 240 mg/kg, hence, GPx activity of gill exposed to lower concentrations of zinc (60~240 mg/kg) showed significant augmentation.

  • We developed the prototype of 4-channel WDM link with erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Bit rate of each channel was 2.5Gb/s. The unrepeatered transmission over 120km with DSF was achieved and the transmission length was extended to 240km using two EDFAs.

  • In this paper, a 1.485 Gbps video signal transmission system using the carrier frequency of 240 GHz band was designed and simulated. The sub-harmonic mixer based on Schottky barrier diode was simulated in the transmitter and receiver. Both of heterodyne and direct detection receivers were simulated for each performance analysis. The ASK modulation was used in the transmitter and the envelop detection method was used in the receiver. The transmitter simulation results showed that the RF output power was -11.4 dBm($73{\mu}W$), when the IF input power was -3 dBm(0.5 mW) at the LO power of 7 dBm(5 mW) in sub-harmonic mixer, which corresponds to SSB(Single Side Band) conversion loss of 8.4 dB. This value is similar to the conversion loss of 8.0 dB(SSB) of VDI's commercial model WR3.4SHM(220~325 GHz) at 240 GHz. The combined transmitter and receiver simulation results showed that the recovered signal waveforms were in good agreement to the transmitted 1.485 Gbps NRZ signal.

  • 다기능 휠체어 시스템의 제어부인 80C196KC를 사용했으나, fuzzy 알고리즘을 적용하는데 있어서 여러 가지 문제점(속도, 연산, 외부장치 등) 때문에 구현1차는데 상당한 어려움이 있었다. 이를 해결하기 위해 20MIPS의 속도인 TMS320F240의 프로세서를 사용하였으며 이로 인해 발생하는 문제점을 거의 해소시켰고, 퍼지 알고리즘을 효율적으로 적용할 수 있었다. 본 시스템의 구성은 주제어기로 퍼지 제어 알고리즘을 사용하여 조이스틱을 제어시켰고, 2개 encoder를 입력을 받아 휠체어 회전수를 이용하여 제어시켰다. 휠체어 모터로는 BLDC(Brushless DC) 모터를 사용했으면, BLDC전용 드라이브단을 이용하여 모터를 구현시켰다. 그리고 3개의 초음파 센서를 부착하여 장애물 회피를 시도하였다. 초음파센서의 효율적인 사용을 위해 스텝 모터(Stepping Motor)와 마이크로 컨트롤러로 PIC을 사용하였다. 본 논문의 실험 결과에서는 이전의 제어기(80C196KC)보다 현저히 성능 면에서 향상되었고, 부수적인 외부장치 처리면에서도 상당한 차이를 볼 수 있었다
