Recently, studies have been conducted on intelligent transportation systems (ITS) that provide safety and convenience to humans. Systems that compose the ITS adopt architectures that applied the cloud computing which consists of a high-performance general-purpose processor or graphics processing unit. However, an architecture that only used the cloud computing requires a high network bandwidth and consumes much power. Therefore, applying edge computing to ITS is essential for solving these problems. In this paper, we propose an edge artificial intelligence (AI) device based ITS. Edge AI which is applicable to various systems in ITS has been applied to license plate recognition. We implemented edge AI on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). The accuracy of the edge AI for license plate recognition was 0.94. Finally, we synthesized the edge AI logic with Magnachip/Hynix 180nm CMOS technology and the power consumption measured using the Synopsys's design compiler tool was 482.583mW.
We report the effect of Ca doping in $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$ (YBCO) thin films grown on the Rolling- Assisted, Biaxially Textured Substrates (RABiTS) with the architecture of $CeO_2/YSZ/CeO_2/Ni$. Critical currents of bilayer and trilayer structures of $YBCO/Y_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$/(YCaBCO) as well as undoped YBCO for comparison have been measured in a wide range of temperatures and fields. For $6-8^{\circ}$ grain boundaries, 30% Ca-doping in bilayer structure enhances $J_c$ as high as 35%. The enhancement is larger at low temperatures and at magnetic fields. On the other hand, 30% Ca-doping in trilayer structure reduces $J_c$ as high as 60%. Combined with slightly lower $T_c$, this indicates that Ca is overdoped in this structure and degrades GBs.

This study was conducted to improve the stability of cut slopes of forest roads in granitic weathered soil areas. The study area is a national forest road (road length 28.48 km) in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. After data collection, a statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS (Ver. 26.0). First, the correlation analysis showed that structure, slope position, soil erosion, slope, and aspect (N, S) were correlated with vegetation coverage (p < 0.05). Elapsed years, slope distance, and aspect (E, W) were found to have no correlation with vegetation coverage. (p > 0.05) Second, one-way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test results showed that vegetation coverage was worse when the slope was located at the top or the middle of the slope than at the bottom of the slope. In addition, the site with sheathing and gabions showed good vegetation coverage when compared with the site without structures. In the case of soil erosion, areas with severe damage and moderate damage showed worse vegetation coverage. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the slope angle of the cut soil of the granitic weathered soil area from 1 : 0.5 - 1.2 to 1 : 0.8 - 1.5. In addition, structures such as sheathing and gabions should be installed on granitic weathered land.
Sejong City, which has been chosen as a new administrative capital of South Korea, has completed the first phase of its development plan with the construction of the facilities needed to accommodate central administrative organizations and the required accompanying population. Now, it is undergoing the second phase of development with a focus on strengthening the region's innovation capacity to catalyze endogenous development. The strategy for phase II is to establish a regional innovation system including building necessary infrastructure and attracting innovation agents such as universities, businesses, and research institutes. The first step for this is developing a research complex, tentatively named Tech Valley, that includes universities, research institutes, and businesses, and building infrastructure comprising a science complex, a knowledge industry center, and support facilities. Phase II of the city's development initiative includes the establishment of a joint university campus, which is to serve as a center to promote cooperation among industry actors, universities, and research institutes. The concept of a joint campus has been drawn from a need to enhance capacity for innovation and specialization in the region's industries and to maximize synergy among participating universities through the sharing of research equipment, facilities, and programs. The joint campus is expected to play a key role in creating an innovation system in the region by enhancing research capacity for strategic industries, cultivating highly skilled human resources, and leading industry-academia-research cooperation. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the new city, there is a growing need to have a main player in place that could lead the region's economic development. The joint campus will propel industrial specialization and serve as a catalyst to attract competent universities to the region. This paper will examine the concept, major functions, and the establishment and operation of the joint campus.

This paper proposes a low-power range-scaled 14b 30 MS/s pipeline-SAR composite ADC for high-performance CIS applications. The SAR ADC is employed in the first stage to alleviate a sampling-time mismatch as observed in the conventional SHA-free architecture. A range-scaling technique processes a wide input range of 3.0VP-P without thick-gate-oxide transistors under a 1.8 V supply voltage. The first- and second-stage MDACs share a single amplifier to reduce power consumption and chip area. Moreover, two separate reference voltage drivers for the first-stage SAR ADC and the remaining pipeline stages reduce a reference voltage disturbance caused by the high-speed switching noise from the SAR ADC. The measured DNL and INL of the prototype ADC in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS are within 0.88 LSB and 3.28 LSB, respectively. The ADC shows a maximum SNDR of 65.4 dB and SFDR of 78.9 dB at 30 MS/s, respectively. The ADC with an active die area of $1.43mm^2$ consumes 20.5 mW at a 1.8 V supply voltage and 30 MS/s, which corresponds to a figure-of-merit (FOM) of 0.45 pJ/conversion-step.
The purpose of this study is ultimately subjected to the Orientalism, even though this deals with some positive effects in the realm of art and architecture as the scope of study, because through which the relationship between two different cultures will be discussed. That is to say, this research focused not only on how the presentation of 'avant-garde' visual art, which is explained as formal 'purity' and 'abstraction' as the characteristics of modern arts, could be made in the transition to the 20th's World, but also on what is the role and meaning of Eastern thoughts, which is popular in that time, for the new philosophical background of the artistic revolution. As a result, this study found that a lot of 'avant-garde' architects such as F. L. Wright, M. Mahony in Prairie School and L. Sullivan, D. Burnham, J. Root in Chicago School, and Lauweriks, H. P. Berlage who introduced Wright's works into the Europe, had possessed the 'Universal Philosophy' including Unitarianism, Transcendentalism, Deism, and Theosophy which are all influenced by Oriental religions and thoughts through historic western philosophers, although it is generally well-known that W. Kandinsky and P. Mondrian were belong to that. Furthermore, they gave attention to the Oriental religions and thoughts in that time, eventually made a historical progressive process of unification of thoughts between East and West. In a word, the new universalism was the philosophical background that made the artist's idea and presentation on 'from Being into Becoming'.
The amounts of waste stone and stone powder sludge that occurred in the quarry and processing plant of s stone plates, have been increased with the development of stone industry. The manufactunng process of 따tificial s stone was studied to reduce the outlet of these wastes and utilIze them as raw materials for architecture, interior decoration and art work. In order to compare the properties of artiflcial stone with those of natural building-stone, the physi$\alpha$II properties of artificial stone such as specific gravity, absorption ratio, elastic wave velocity, compressive s strength, tensile strength, shore hardness, elasticity and Poission's ratio were measured. From the mesaured d data of physical properties, it was found that physical propertIes of artificial stone were controlled by homogeneous m mixing ratio of constituents, molding pressure, and amount of binder. Also, from the thermo-gravimetric analysis, it was found that artIfIcial stone manufactured had a good thermal stability up to $300^{\circ}C$. It was concluded that t the optimum conditions for manufacturing process of artificial stone were $200kg/\textrm{cm}^2$ of molding pressure, 12-15 w weight % of binder amounts.

This study was to investigate the pedestrian's thermal environments in the North Sidewalk of E-W Street during summer heatwave. We carried out detailed measurements with four human-biometeorological stations on Dongjin Street, Jinju, Korea ($N35^{\circ}10.73{\sim}10.75^{\prime}$, $E128^{\circ}55.90{\sim}58.00^{\prime}$, elevation: 50m). Two of the stations stood under one row street tree and hedge(One-Tree), two row street tree and hedge (Two-Tree), one of the stations stood under shelter and awning(Shelter), while the other in the sun (Sunlit). The measurement spots were instrumented with microclimate monitoring stations to continuously measure microclimate, radiation from the six cardinal directions at the height of 1.1m so as to calculate the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) from 24th July to 21th August 2018. The radiant temperature of sidewalk's elements were measured by the reflective sphere and thermal camera at 29th July 2018. The analysis results of 9 day's 1 minute term human-biometeorological data absorbed by a man in standing position from 10am to 4pm, and 1 day's radiant temperature of sidewalk elements from 1:16pm to 1:35pm, showed the following. The shading of street tree and shelter were mitigated heat stress by the lowered UTCI at mid and late summer's daytime, One-Tree and Two-Tree lowered respectively 0.4~0.5 level, 0.5~0.8 level of the heat stress, Shelter lowered respectively 0.3~1.0 level of the heat stress compared with those in the Sunlit. But the thermal environments in the One-Tree, Two-Tree and Shelter during the heat wave supposed to user "very strong heat stress" while those in the Sunlit supposed to user "very strong heat stres" and "exterme heat stress". The main heat load temperature compared with body temperature ($37^{\circ}C$) were respectively $7.4^{\circ}C{\sim}21.4^{\circ}C$ (pavement), $14.7^{\circ}C{\sim}15.8^{\circ}C$ (road), $12.7^{\circ}C$ (shelter canopy), $7.0^{\circ}C$ (street funiture), $3.5^{\circ}C{\sim}6.4^{\circ}C$ (building facade). The main heat load percentage were respectively 34.9%~81.0% (pavement), 9.6%~25.2% (road), 24.8% (shelter canopy), 14.1%~15.4% (building facade), 5.7% (street facility). Reducing the radiant temperature of the pavement, road, building surfaces by shading is the most effective means to achieve outdoor thermal comfort for pedestrians in sidewalk. Therefore, increasing the projected canopy area and LAI of street tree through the minimal training and pruning, building dense roadside hedge are essential for pedestrians thermal comfort. In addition, thermal liner, high reflective materials, greening etc. should be introduced for reducing the surface temperature of shelter and awning canopy. Also, retro-reflective materials of building facade should be introduced for the control of reflective sun radiation. More aggressively pavement watering should be introduced for reducing the surface temperature of sidewalk's pavement.

This study was to investigate the user's thermal environments under the pergola($L\;7,200{\times}W\;4,200{\times}H\;2,700mn$) covered with Wisteria floribunda(Willd.) DC. according to the variation of leaf area index(LAI). We carried out detailed measurements with two human-biometeorological stations on a popular square Jinju, Korea($N35^{\circ}10^{\prime}59.8^{{\prime}{\prime}}$, $E\;128^{\circ}05^{\prime}32.0^{{\prime}{\prime}}$, elevation: 38m). One of the stations stood under a pergola, while the other in the sun. The measurement spots were instrumented with microclimate monitoring stations to continuously measure air temperature and relative humidity, wind speed, shortwave and longwave radiation from the six cardinal directions at the height of 0.6m so as to calculate the Universal Thermal Climate Index(UTCI) from $9^{th}$ April to $27^{th}$ September 2017. The LAI was measured using the LAI-2200C Plant Canopy Analyzer. The analysis results of 18 day's 1 minute term human-biometeorological data absorbed by a man in sitting position from 10am to 4pm showed the following. During the whole observation period, daily average air temperatures under the pergola were respectively $0.7{\sim}2.3^{\circ}C$ lower compared with those in the sun, daily average wind speed and relative humidity under the pergola were respectively 0.17~0.38m/s and 0.4~3.1% higher compared with those in the sun. There was significant relationship in LAI, Julian day number and were expressed in the equation $y=-0.0004x^2+0.1719x-11.765(R^2=0.9897)$. The average $T_{mrt}$ under the pergola were $11.9{\sim}25.4^{\circ}C$ lower and maximum ${\Delta}T_{mrt}$ under the pergola were $24.1{\sim}30.2^{\circ}C$ when compared with those in the sun. There was significant relationship in LAI, reduction ratio(%) of daily average $T_{mrt}$ compared with those in the sun and was expressed in the equation $y=0.0678{\ln}(x)+0.3036(R^2=0.9454)$. The average UTCI under the pergola were $4.1{\sim}8.3^{\circ}C$ lower and maximum ${\Delta}UTCI$ under the pergola were $7.8{\sim}10.2^{\circ}C$ when compared with those in the sun. There was significant relationship in LAI, reduction ratio(%) of daily average UTCI compared with those in the sun and were expressed in the equation $y=0.0322{\ln}(x)+0.1538(R^2=0.8946)$. The shading by the pergola covered with vines was very effective for reducing daytime UTCI absorbed by a man in sitting position at summer largely through a reduction in mean radiant temperature from sun protection, lowering thermal stress from very strong(UTCI >$38^{\circ}C$) and strong(UTCI >$32^{\circ}C$) down to strong(UTCI >$32^{\circ}C$) and moderate(UTCI >$26^{\circ}C$). Therefore the pergola covered with vines used for shading outdoor spaces is essential to mitigate heat stress and can create better human thermal comfort especially in cities during summer. But the thermal environments under the pergola covered with vines during the heat wave supposed to user "very strong heat stress(UTCI>$38^{\circ}C$)". Therefore users must restrain themselves from outdoor activities during the heat waves.

This thesis analyzed current situation of advanced automated container terminal with case studies on implemented systems and difficulties to develop automated container terminal system, reviewed technologies of intelligent agent, communication and automation that unmaned automated container terminal is required.
