Hemangioma can present difficult management problems to the oral & maxillofacial surgeon when their removal is indicated. Cryosurgery has also been employed for the treatment of hemangiomas and offers several advantages over the other treatment methods. This is a case report of hemangioma which was treated by cryosurgery. The cryosurgery technique has proved to be painless, bloodless and safe. The healing process was completed at 4 weeks postoperatively with minimal invisible scar.

We describe the fabrication of transparent conducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) film on flexible substrate following the conventional spin coating method. The fabricated film was post treated with diluted acid solution and its electrical and optical characterizations were performed. The electrical conductivity of SWCNTs film was enhanced and the film was found to be attached strongly with substrate after the post treatment.

Music therapy is a treatment for a range of disorders (physical, emotional, mental, and social) by using music. This article introduces traditional medical books, which mentioned relation between sounds and emotions or internal organs based on the five phases (五行) theory. And, authors provide the Korean traditional musical instruments related with five phases and Six Healing Sounds (六字訣).

Carcinomas derived from ameloblastomas have been designated by a variety of terms, including malignant ameloblastoma, ameloblastic carcinoma, metastatic ameloblastoma, and primary intra-alveolar epidermoid carcinoma. The term of ameloblastic carcinoma is differentiated from the term of malignant amelblastoma and is defined as an ameloblastoma in which there is histologic evidence of malignancy in the primary tumor or the recurrent tumor(or metastasis), regardless of whether it has metastasized. The well-documented and adequately followed cases are currently lacking and this report described an instance of ameloblastic carcinoma with good result after treatment and review of literature.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), one of the most common forms of dementia, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder symptomatically characterized by the decline in memory and cognitive abilities. To date, the successful therapeutic strategy to treat AD is to maintain the levels of acetylcholine (ACh) by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (AChE) to lead five drugs in clinical use. In this study, several coumarin derivatives were designed based on the lead structure of scopoletin and evaluated for their AChE inhibitory activities.

This is a case of bony ankylosis of right temporomandibular joint with mild facial asymmetry resulted from trauma, which bring about the right condylar fracture, and corrected by interpositional arthroplasty with temporal fascia flap and coronoidectomy. The postoperative results were functionally and esthetically good, but continued osbervation is necessary to evaluation of abnormal bony growth and reankylosis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is analyzing the current research methodology of pharmacopucture for the treatment of animal cancer models. Methods : Four electronic databases were searched for animal studies published from January 2000 to September 2014 onward using these search terms "cancer, anticancer, pharmacopuncture, beevenom". Selected articles were described about animal cancer models. The methods used to induce cancer and the outcome measures used to assess the effects of pharmacopuncture on animal cancer models were analyzed. Results : 37 articles were included. For producing animal cancer models BALB/C mice(n=22) and C57BL/6 mice(n=17) were selected. And intravenous injection of B16-F10 melanoma cells into tail vein(n=14) or intraperitoneal injection of sarcoma-180 cells(n=14) were frequently used to induce cancer. Various pharmacopunctures were injected into acupoints $CV_{12}(n=19)$, $ST_{36}(n=8)$, $BL_{18}(n=8)$ or peritoneal cavity(n=6), tumor site(n=2), tail vein(n=2). Outcome measures were categorized into anti-cancer, anti-metastasis, general condition, cytotoxicity, immune response, toxicity. Median Survival Time(MST) and increase of life span(ILS)(n=26) was frequently used for evaluating anti-cancer effects. And pulmonary colonization assay(n=13) was frequently used for evaluating anti-metastasis effects Conclusions : Based on these data, further research would be needed to ascertain the effectiveness of pharmacopuncture for treating cancer and broaden the range of clinical applications.
