A population decline in rural area is correlated with the number of household, with agricultural workers, as a result, affects the farming income. Agricultural population is a foundation of agriculture structure. Agricultural population decline influences agricultural policies to be implemented for the future and there is concern about slowdown in productivity. The purpose of this study is to build the ability to use the model and conduct applied analyses of various kinds and to make rational agricultural policies by forecasting and analyzing agricultural population change. Unlike previous studies, which have some assumptions about the giving-up farming rate (GFR) of the key points on the agricultural population model or, After estimating only one equation with respect to the total population, and then distribute by sex and age. This study was conducted to investigate the reactions are different from the farmhouse, gender, age by estimating giving-up farming rate (GFR) equations each gender & age. Through this research, we can find that Farm Population changes of the simulation can be performed for a variety of agricultural policy in conjunction with existing agricultural simulation models as well.

The project to improve the structure of village has been conducted in order to improve the residential environment since 1960's. Also, with the rural exodus and the aged population in a rural area during the rapid change of social structure in our country, the old people's problem in a rural area became a problem beyond the welfare of the old age. Moreover, as the role of old people who established their position as the subject of social & economic activities in a rural area gradually increases, an attention to problems related on old people also increases. Especially, the leisure life of old people can be an important factor on the type of leisure life of old people in a cultural village and the demands for facilities for old people by studying the present situation of facilities for old people and the actual situation of their use in a welfare center.
The accelerated aging population may lead to the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and increase in medical costs as well. The aim of this study is to investigate the association with prevalence of metabolic abnormalities and its components in urban/rural area among Korean elderly. We examined the association between metabolic abnormalities and urban/rural area with data from the 2009 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The subjects were 1,622 elderly aged 65 years or over. The sixty percent of Korean elderly reside in urban and 40 % in rural. Rural residents were significantly lower income and less educated than urban residents. But there was no significant different in nutritional factors. They showed significantly 26% lower likelihood of having metabolic syndrome (0.578-0.950, p=0.018) compared with urban residents. Urban residents were associated with higher prevalence of metabolic syndrome than rural residents. This results will contribute to develop strategy for prevention metabolic syndrome for Korean elderly according to urban/rural area.
The scale and the extent of a aging of population of a rural are more serious than those of a urban in China. However, the welfare policy and the service for the aged in the rural are inferior. China established the different systems of social welfare policy for the city and the rural and has administered it since the china was established. Owing to an open-door policy(opening of a reform) the gap between the two got more deeply distinguished. Accordingly. the striking difference is shown in a living environment and a quality of life of the cities and the rural. I made clear the difference of services for the aged in the rural and the urban examining daily lives, medical industry, recreation systems and so on and analyzing their sources. In addition, I proposed the ways to establish synthetic social welfare policy of the urban and the rural.

Second, the project success depends on improvement an institution and planed, timely approach. Third, central government must plan network system with rural development project in political, and must support local government into political frame. The interest and participation of the rural experience is increasing as an alternative for the problems such as the decrease of the agricultural income facing the agriculture and the rural area, the decrease of the population, and the regional stagnation. The rural experience has recently been transformed into a software dimension such as programs and participation activities in the past. In addition, public awareness also positively evaluates agriculture and rural communities as the basis for supporting society and recognition of multiple functions. Furthermore, the intention of the citizen to the earnest village is increasing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of rural experience and customer satisfaction of urban residents on the recognition of return to farm and rural areas. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the characteristics of rural experience had a positive effect on the farming villages by the program, the experience field and the host, and the customer satisfaction had a positive effect on the farming villages. Therefore, it is considered that a systematic approach to the rural experience is needed in the future because the experience of the rural people in the city has a positive effect on the earliest villages.
Purpose: This study was done to learn from the development of rural health nursing in developed countries. Method: A literature search was done using keywords such as "rural and nursing" or "rural and health" from the database CHINAL and website of institutions related to rural health and nursing. Results: In Australia, the type of rural health institution was categorized according to the population size and nursing service was done differently according to area. It is unique to Canada to have the Canadian Association of Rural and Remote Nursing, which published the survey report "the Nature of Nursing Practice in Rural and Remote Canada". In the U.S., the role of nurse practitioners in rural communities was relatively well developed and a diverse nursing care model was demonstrated. To improve health care access in rural communities, financial and political support by the governments has been part of long-term plans in the three countries. Conclusion: It is very informative to identity the difference and similarity in rural health nursing in three developed countries. For the future development of Korean rural nursing, suggestion can be made in terms of research, education and policy development.

The purpose of this study is to examine France's regional development policy in terms of rural development since the end of World War II. Following decentralization in 1982, France's regional and rural development policies have been focused on the interrelated actions of government, local authorities and European authorities. The aim of their works was to extend the dispersal of industrial activities to the reorganization of the rural space. The rural development policies aimed to the agricultural modernization in the 1950s have differed in their goals, methods, and implements. France's regional and rural development clearly illustrates the key role played by the government despite the decentralization and the challenges of the europeanization leading to a unique market of European nations. This reinforces the fact that the government is instrumental in organizing population distribution and regulating regional decision centers to harmonize both national objectives and local authorities' concerns. The French experience will be helpful as reference in the field of regional and rural development for Korea which has recently begun decentralizing.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes of rural housing conditions by comparing the general housing indicators of rural area and those of urban. For those purposes, the indicators that present the housing conditions are set up, and the changes of average housing conditions are analyzed by a region : Shis(cities), Ups, Myons. For the analysis, Population and Housing Census Report and related data were used. Rural housing conditions have become better since the 1960s in the aspect of quality. They are, however, relatively much worse than those of urban areas. The gap of housing conditions between urban and rural housing is big, especially in qualitative indicators, which are housing facilities. Quantitative indicators, which are housing supply rate and ownership rate, are better than urban conditions.
