활주로 주변 건물을 지나는 측풍에 의한 이.착륙 항공기의 받음각 감소에 관한 연구 (A study on the reduction in angle of attack by the constructions in the vicinity of airport runway with crosswind)

  • This paper illustrates how simulation modeling can be of substantial help in designing constructions in the vicinity of airport runway and presents results about the influence of aircraft wake vortices through computer simulation. The cross-wind energy dissipation rate is estimated from the Y-directional velocity spectrum for a sample in a real meteorological observation data. The eddy region about cross wind in the vicinity of airport runway is highly dependent on the height and shape of the buildings and the AOA of aircraft is greatly influenced by Y-directional velocity occurred by dint of separation region in runway.

청주국제공항 활성화 방안 연구: 공항시설, 접근교통 및 운항 네트워크를 중심으로 (Study on Revitalization Plan for Cheongju International Airport: Focusing on Airport Facilities, Access Transportation, and Flight Network)

  • In this study, we reviewed access transportation, operating companies, and airport infrastructure to revitalize Cheongju International Airport. Regarding access transportation infrastructure, it is necessary to promote a railway network connecting the metropolitan inland line and the central inland region. In addition, active administrative support from local governments is required to ensure smooth progress in railway and highway infrastructure linkage projects, such as the Osong Connecting Line and Chungbuk Line, high-speed rail network promotion, and expansion of the Chungbuk Eastern Axis Expressway and Central Expressway. Regarding operator access infrastructure, continuous efforts are required to add and attract airlines based at Cheongju International Airport. Regarding airport infrastructure, the Cheongju International Airport runway needs complete resurfacing due to its deterioration. Domestic passenger capacity has exceeded 6.5%, and considering the increase in import and export of high value-added goods in the North Chungcheong region, it is necessary to build and expand passenger terminals and cargo terminals. Cheongju International Airport's runway does not have enough runway length to operate large and ultra-large aircraft, so if it is extended from the existing 2,744m to 456m to 3,200m, several benefits can be expected in terms of revitalizing Cheongju Airport, such as route expansion.

Hydrodynamic performance of a pump-turbine model in the "S" characteristic region by CFD analysis

  • Specific hydrodynamic characteristic of pump-turbine during the start and load rejection process of generating mode causes anomalous increase of water pressure, along with large machine vibration, called "S" characteristic. The aim of this study is to understand and explain the hydrodynamic performance of pump-turbine at "S" characteristic region by using a model of pump-turbine system. The operation in the condition of runway and low discharge in a typical "S" characteristic curve may become unstable and complex flow appears at the passage of guide vane and impeller. Therefore, velocity and pressure distribution are investigated to give an all-sided explanation of the formation and phenomenon of this characteristic, with the assistance of velocity triangle analysis at the impeller inlet. From this study, the internal flow and pressure fluctuation at the normal, runway and low discharge points are explored, giving a deep description of hydrodynamic characteristic when the pump-turbine system operates with "S" characteristic.

AEDT (aviation environmental design tool)을 이용한 김해 국제공항 신 활주로 소음 분석 (Noise Analysis of New Runway at the Gimhae International Airport using Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT))

  • 한국의 공항 중 이용객 수 기준으로 4위 공항인 김해 국제공항은 국제선 이용객수가 점차 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 동남권 신공항에 대한 필요성이 제기되었고, 국토교통부는 현재 김해 국제공항에 새로운 활주로 1본을 건설하여 확장하기로 결정하였다. 따라서 이로 인해 야기되는 소음을 예측하기 위해 본 연구에서는 FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)의 AEDT (aviation environmental design tool) 소프트웨어를 이용하여 소음 분석을 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 김해 국제 공항에 신 활주로 건설 시 하루 동안의 항공기 이착륙 자료를 이용하여 현재보다 증가하는 소음 피해지역을 예측하였다.

국내 소형 공항의 항공기 월경방지 대책 및 비행절차 수립 연구 (A Study Measures to Prevent Aircraft Crossing and Establish Flight Procedures at Domestic Small Airports)

  • Recently, domestic small airport development plans are being promoted centering on islands, and among them, Baengnyeong Island Airport is located very close to North Korea due to its geographical characteristics. In particular, since it is located in the P-518, which is prohibited airspace, it is essential to configure the arrival/departure flight procedure route similarly to the current ship in terms of securing flight safety. Therefore, in this study, a plan for airport location and facility scale was proposed by focusing on the runway operated for the purpose of aircraft operation through consultations with the Ministry of National Defense. It was proposed to meet the standards of the Airport Facility Act as an airport dedicated to domestic flights for airside facilities such as runway length and direction, target aircraft, landing pad, apron, runway and taxiway width appropriate for the topographical characteristics of Baengnyeong Island. As a result, the flight procedure is generally established as a two-way visual flight, but the 10-way arrival/departure procedure was planned to be changed to an instrument (non-precision) according to the specificity of the region. In addition, a flight procedure was established and presented for safe and systematic operation by reflecting the changes in airport facility size (landing pad, runway end safety area, etc.) following the change in instrument flight procedure in the visual flight procedure.

크레인 거더의 피로균열에 관한 실험적 연구 (2) -피로균열의 보수법- (Experimental Study on Fatigue Crack in Welded Crane Runway Girders (2) -Repair methods of Fatigue Crack-)

  • 크레인 주행거더에 발생된 피로균열에 대한 보수방법으로 stop-hole(5mm 또는 9mm), stop-hole에 고력볼트 체결, 용접. 첨판과 고력볼트에 의한 4가지 보수방법을 적용하였다. 이중에서 stop-hole로 보수를 한 경우와 용접보수를 한 경우에는 재균열이 발생하였다. 그러나 stop-hole에 고력볼트를 체결한 경우 및 첨판과 고력볼트로 보수한 경우에는 재균열이 발생하지 않았다. 보수전과 보수후 피로강도를 비교해보면 stop-hole 또는 stop-hole과 고력볼트로 보수를 한 경우에는 모두 보수전과 동등한 피로강도를 얻었다. 용접보수를 할 경우에는 정확한 시공이 시행되면 보수전과 동등한 피로강도를 기대할 수 있지만. 시공이 잘못되면 피로강도가 현저하게 저하될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 피로균열이 발생된 위치에 첨판과 소요볼트를 시공할 수 있는 조건이라면 첨판과 고력볼트로 보수하는 것이 가장 확실한 보수법임을 알 수 있었다.

F급 항공기 교체공항 선정을 위한 기상분석 (An Weather Analysis for Selection of the Aircraft Category F's Alternative Airport)

  • This paper is part of the research about the selection and justification of Jeju international airport as an aircraft category 'F' alternative airport, which is the results of an weather analysis based on meteorological statistics. As the results of the study, it has been only 1 day per year (58minutes) that weather conditions of Incheon and Jeju international airports, from January 2006 to June 2011, are below landing weather minimums of each airport at the same times. This means that these airports are not within the same meteorological region, which is against the current orthodoxy. In addition, it is very rare that weather conditions of Jeju international airports are below landing weather minimums when Incheon international airport is below landing weather minima. It shows that the meteorological characteristics of these regions differ widely and the designation of Jeju international airport as an alternative airport is scientifically reasonable.

스키장안에 위치한 산악비행장의 특성분석 (The Analysis of characteristics of Mountain Aerodromes in the ski stations)

  • Mountain Aerodromes are aerodromes with special characteristics, provided in mountains for the needs of air transport operations. Mountain Aerodromes are approved for restricted use and are reserved for pilots and aircrafts special requirement. In this study, we surveyed the operating system and the characteristics of the Mountain Aerodromes in the ski stations of the French Alps mountainous region. We introduced the necessity and the relevant regulations for Mountain Aerodromes in Korea.

퍼지 게인스케듈링을 적용한 자동착륙 유도제어 알고리즘 설계 : 윈쉬어 환경에서의 착륙 (Design of Guidance and Control Algorithm for Autolanding In Windshear Environment Using Fuzzy Gain Scheduling)

  • This paper deals with the problem of autolanding for aircraft under windshear environment for which the landing trajectory is given. It is well known that the landing maneuver in windshear turbulence is very dangerous and hard for the pilot to control because windshear is unpredictable in when and where it happens and its aerodynamic characteristics are complicated. In order to accomplish satisfactory autolanding maneuver in this environment, we propose a gain-scheduled controller. The proposed controller consists of three parts: PID controller, called baseline controller, which is designed to satisfy requirements of stability and performance without considering windshear, gain scheduler based on fuzzy logic, and safety decision logic, which decides if the current autolanding maneuver needs to be aborted or not. The controller is applied to a 6-DOF simulation model of the associated airplane in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. It is noted that a cross wind in the lateral direction is included to the simulation model. From the simulation results it is observed that the proposed gain scheduled controller shows superior performance than the case of controller without gain scheduling even in severe downburst and tailwind region of windshear. In addition, touchdown along centerline of the runway is more precise for the proposed controller than for the controller without gain scheduling in the cross wind and the tailwind.

ADS-B 데이터를 이용한 서울 TMA에서의 DAA Well Clear 기반 위험도 분석 (Risk Analysis of Aircraft Operations in Seoul TMA Based on DAA Well Clear Metrics using Recorded ADS-B Data)

  • 인천국제공항과 김포국제공항을 포함하는 서울 접근 관제 구역은 하루 1,000여 대의 항공기가 운용되어 혼잡할 뿐만 아니라 북쪽으로 공역이 제한되어있기 때문에, 항공기 간의 적절한 분리 유지를 통한 안전관리가 까다롭고 관제사의 업무 부하가 높은 편이다. 본 연구에서는 최근 3년간의 ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) 항적 데이터를 기반으로, 관제사의 벡터링이 추가되지 않은 원래 비행계획 상의 항로와 절차를 예측하고, 이를 이용하여 서울 접근 관제 구역 내 항공기 운용의 구조적인 안전도를 분석하였다. 안전 지표로서는 대형 무인항공기의 탐지 및 회피 시스템에 적용하기 위해 개발된 DWC (detect and avoid well clear) 지표가 사용되었으며, 이를 통하여 가장 위험도가 높은 지역들을 판별하였다. 활주로 방향에 무관하게 인천국제공항의 서쪽 지역을 사용하는 이/착륙 절차 주변이 가장 위험도가 높게 나타났다. 이외에 도착 절차들의 합류 지점과 출/도착 절차들의 교차 지점이 상대적으로 위험도가 높게 나타났다.
