하천 여울의 분류 및 물리, 수리학적 특성 분석 (Classification of Riparian Riffles and Their Physical and Hydraulic Characteristics)

  • 본 논문에서는 홍천강과 섬진강을 대상으로 하천에 존재하는 다양한 형태의 여울을 체계적으로 분류하고, 물리적 및 수리학적 특성을 분석하였다. 여울의 길이와 폭 비율을 기준으로 긴 형태와 넓은 형태로 분류하고, 상 하류 폭의 변화 정도를 기준으로 집중 형태와 확산 형태로 분류하였다. 또한 흐름의 물결 형태에 따라 떨어지는 형태, 미끄러지는 형태, 약한 파도 및 약한 도수로 분류하였다. 떨어지는 형태와 미끄러지는 형태는 주로 큰 돌 주위의 다양한 입경을 지닌 하상에서 발생하였으며, 약한 파도와 약한 도수는 주로 잔 돌 주위에서 발생하였다. 여울의 흐름 방향 경사는 가운데 부분에서 위로 볼록하였으며, 하류측으로 갈수록 경사가 커졌다. 여울의 종적 구조에 따른 물결형태를 구분하여 보면, 여울의 집중 형태에서는 흐름 방향으로 약한 파도, 미끄러지는 형태 및 약한 도수가 발생하였다. 긴 형태의 경우, 흐름방향으로 약한 파도, 미끄러지는 형태 및 떨어지는 형태가 발생하였다. 넓은 형태의 여울에서는 약한 파도, 약한 도수 및 약한 파도, 약한 도수가 발생하였다.

  • The variable-frequency type water supply equipment, which adopts the variable-voltage and variable-frequency converter(VVVF converter) to govern automatically the rotating speed of a pump, can save 15-20% of power, as compared with a throttle-controlled pump device or an airpressurized water supply equipment, and is finding a wide application. However, it still has some disadvantages : greater pressure fluctuations during switching over the pump and prolonged low-effeciency running of the pump in the case of small consumption of water. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the equipment to the fire water supply system where the water should not be put into use unless a fire takes place, and the water pressure in pipelines should permanently remain constant. This paper introduces the automatic regulation principle of the variable-frequency type air-pressurized water supply equipment (hereafter referred to as simply BFQS equipment) for dual purposes of daily life and fire control, which combined both technologies of speed governing by a converter and air-pressurized water supplying, then discusses some problems related to automatic control, and finally gives the experimental results of an embodiment-BPQS-100-50 water supply equipment.

넙치 양식장에서 발생하는 온실가스 배출량 산정 (Estimation of Green-House-Gas emissions from domestic aquaculture farm for flounders)

  • This study aims to estimate the Green-House-Gas emissions from domestic farmed flounder in the southern sea and Jeju-Do, where is mainly produced, by the assessment of energy consumptions and GHG emissions from domestic fish farms for establishing reduce standards of greenhouse gas from a sustainable perspective. It needs to analyze such GHG emission components as feed, electricity, fuel, fixed capital, fish respiration, and liquid oxygen in two locations by 4 stage running water type farm size of small, small and medium, large and medium, large scale. The result showed that the mean GHG emissions were $36.83kg{\cdot}CO_2/year$ in the southern sea and $24.33kg{\cdot}CO_2/year$ in Jeju-Do, respectively, in the stage of production per fish 1kg at 2 locations and farm size from domestic farmed flounders, and it will give to be useful for policy, planning, and regulation of aquaculture development with establishing GHG reduction standards.

The Effect of Water Emulsified Fuel on a Motorway-Bus Diesel Engine

  • In this study, the combustion characteristics and durability of a diesel engine using emulsified fuel was investigated. Water was used in oil type emulsified fuel. In order to understand the effect of emulsified fuel in a wide range of engine running conditions, D-13 mode was selected as a test condition, and a durability test was included to understand the long-term effect of water. Combustion pressure in a cylinder, exhaust emissions, specific fuel consumption, sound level and maximum torque were measured. NOx and PM were simultaneously reduced and the specific fuel consumption was increased and decreased at low and high loads, respectively. There was no trouble and any damage on the parts of the cylinder during a 500 hour durability test.

한국 남해안의 장마철 호우 시 850hPa 등압면 수증기 수송 주 경로 유형의 종관 특성 (Synoptic Characteristics of the Main Path Types of 850hPa Surface Water Vapor Flux for Heavy Changma Rainfall in the South Coastal Region of Korea)

  • 이 연구는 장마철 남해안 호우 사례의 850hPa 면 수증기 수송의 주축 유형에 대해 우리나라의 강수량 분포 특성, 동아시아 규모의 종관 특성과 장마전선의 구조를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그 결과 유형 A(남중국해~화남~남해안)의 경우 아열대고기압이 화남지방에까지 영향을 미치고 황해를 중심으로 뚜렷한 저압부가 나타났다. 강수량도 대체로 동서 방향으로 분포하며 지형의 영향이 잘 나타나지 않았다. 유형 B(남중국해~타이완 부근~남해안), 유형 C(북태평양~남해안)에서는 타이완 부근에 열대저기압이 자주 나타났고 북서태평양고기압은 북쪽으로 이동하였다. 남해안 부근에서만 수증기 수송 주축이 나타나는 유형 D에서는 황해에 강한 저기압이 나타났다. 주축 유형 B, C, D의 경우 강수량 분포에서 북동~남서 방향이 잘 나타나며 지형의 영향이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 상층 제트기류는 남해안의 북쪽에서 강화되었고 하층 제트기류는 수증기 수송 주축과 거의 일치하여 나타났다. 전선의 구조를 살펴본 즉, 거의 전체 사례에서 저기압성 순환이 대류권 상층에까지 나타나는 깊은 활동전선 유형을 보였다. 이 점에서 장마는 바이우계 동안 상당한 빈도로 얕은 활동전선 유형이 나타나는 일본 남서부 지역의 경우와 차이를 나타냈다.

소형 어선용 이중강판 방향타의 유체역학적 특성 조사 (Investigation on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Double Plate Steel Rudder for Small Fishing Boat)

  • In this study, the numerical simulation has been performed to investigate the hydrodynamic evaluation between double plate steel rudder and newly designed foil type rudder for small fishing boat. The simulations are carried out in 2 speed ranges with 7 variations of flow's angle of attack which is at intervals of about 5 degree respectively. As the well-known commercial code, FLUENT and CATIA are used as the solver. The simulation results show that new designed foil type rudder is better than conventional double plate rudder in terms of Lift and Drag of running boat in the water.

중국 연변 조선족 전통농가의 시설설비 실태조사 (A Field Study on the Facilities and Equipments of the Traditional Farmhouse in Lungching, China)

  • This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditionla Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China" The purpose of this study is to investigate the facilities and equipments of the traditional farmhouse in the villages of Lungching China. The data is collected from 124 households in the villages based on the survey conducted using questionnaire and photograph. The major findings are: 1) The people in farmhouse use wood as a fuel for cooking and the method of cooking is traditional style using their iron pots. 2) Heating system of the house is ondol type of heating using. wood which is also traditional type. This means that the floor heating of the house and cooking food can be carried out simultaneously. 3) Even though pump system and running water system are the two kinds of water supply that are available in the villages, majority of people use pump system. Many houses have no drainage facilities but few houses have got bad drainage system. 4) From the planning stage of the farm house facilities and equipments for ventilation is not considered and hence it is not provided in most of the houses. 5) Farmhouses are oriented to the south and the windows and the doors are covered either with viny1 or cloth during winter time effecting the lighting system of the house. 6)Many of the houses use incandescent lights. But the switchs and the electric Outlets are short in number. 7) Sanitation facilities are worst equipped compared to other facilities present in Lungching villages of China. of China.

  • In present, most of metallic structures(gas pipeline, oil pipeline, water pipeline, etc) are running parallel with subway and power line in seoul. Moreover subway system and power line make a stray current due to electrical corrosion on metallic structures. The owner of metallic structures has a burden of responsibility for the protection of corrosion and the prevention against big accident such as gas explosion or soil pollution and so on. So, they have to measure and analyze the data about P/S(Pipe to Soil) potential due to stray current of subway system. So, we have developed the Real-time Wireless Remote Monitoring System for Stray Current of Subway System. In this system, the permanent buried type reference electrode is necessary. In this paper, results of development of buried type reference electrode using porous ceramic$({\alpha}-Al_{2}O_{3})$ are presented.

하천 미지형 및 하상저질에 따른 갯버들과 달뿌리풀군락의 분포특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Distribution Patterns of Salix gracilistyla and Phragmites japonica Communities according to Micro-landforms and Substrates of the Stream Corridor)

  • This study was carried out to verify the distribution patterns of Salix gracilistyla and Phragmites japonica communities known as obligatory riparian species according to physical factors such as micro-landforms, substrates, etc., at Soo-ip stream corridor. Firstly four vegetation types - Salix gracilistyla dominant type, Phragmites japonica dominant type, mixed type of two species, and mixed type of two species to other species, were classified by cluster analysis based on UPGMA-Euclidean distance. Also these vegetation types showed many different distribution patterns in response to the longitudinal and lateral view along the stream corridor and substrate composition. Salix gracilistyla was major component of dominant vegetation types developed at attack point of bending reach and on substrates composed of rock fragments, but contrastly Phragmites japonica was most important component of dominant vegetation types at point bar of bending reach and floodplain, and on substrates composed of soil materials. Secondly the species and environment biplot form CCA strongly supported the vegetation types divided by classification. Namely Salix gracilistyla was closely correlated with rock fragments and steep slope, which is resistant to physical action even though located near running water. But Phragmites japonica showed a high correlation with soil particles sedimented at floodplain by divergent flow.

Design of high-speed planing hulls for the improvement of resistance and seakeeping performance

  • High-speed vessels require good resistance and seakeeping performance for safe operations in rough seas. The resistance and seakeeping performance of high-speed vessels varies significantly depending on their hull forms. In this study, three planing hulls that have almost the same displacement and principal dimension are designed and the hydrodynamic characteristics of those hulls are estimated by high-speed model tests. All model ships are deep-V type planing hulls. The bows of no.2 and no.3 model ships are designed to be advantageous for wave-piercing in rough water. No.2 and no.3 model ships have concave and straight forebody cross-sections, respectively. And length-to-beam ratios of no.2 and no.3 models are larger than that of no.1 model. In calm water tests, running attitude and resistance of model ships are measured at various speeds. And motion tests in regular waves are performed to measure the heave and pitch motion responses of the model ships. The required power of no.1 (VPS) model is smallest, but its vertical motion amplitudes in waves are the largest. No.2 (VWC) model shows the smallest motion amplitudes in waves, but needs the greatest power at high speed. The resistance and seakeeping performance of no.3 (VWS) model ship are the middle of three model ships, respectively. And in regular waves, no.1 model ship experiences 'fly over' phenomena around its resonant frequency. Vertical accelerations at specific locations such as F.P., center of gravity of model ships are measured at their resonant frequency. It is necessary to measure accelerations by accelerometers or other devices in model tests for the accurate prediction of vertical accelerations in real ships.
