화물수송용 철도차량의 주행안정성 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Improvement of Running Stability for Freight Car)

  • This experimental study is the improvement of running stability for freight car. KNR (Korean National Railroad)'s conventional wagons, light bodies running on Barber style bogies with 5-1/$2{\times}10$ journals, would be considered fundamentally to be a most difficult car to control above 100km/h. From the results of experiment, to permit high speed operation safely, was realized with the resilient side bearing. Also, equipped with resilient side bearing, and elastowedge friction elements to eliminate bolster wedge pocket wear, KNR's wagons can be secure the running stability with lower maintenance requirements than current experience.

  • The Korean High Speed Train(KHST) had been developed and evaluating on the Kyoung-Bu High Speed Line by through 'G7-R&D project'. In order to evaluate the function and characteristics of high speed train system, various experimental conditions have been considered and conducted. In this paper, current collection characteristics of KHST between pantograph and catenary system and dynamic behaviors are measured and analysed over 300 to 350km/h in running speed of KHST. A measuring system which was developed and installed on the Korean High Speed Train for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this trial running test and we proofed that KHST has a remarkable and stable current collection characteristics as it had been designed.

직류전동차용 피뢰기 진단기술 (Diagnostic Techniques of Lightning Arresters for DC Electric Traction Vehicles)

  • This paper dealt with the performance evaluation and the diagnostic techniques of lightning arresters for DC electric traction vehicle. Field Measurements on the protective operation of lightning arresters against surge currents were carried out on running vehicles to acquire the data necessary for the diagnosis. The frequency and the magnitude of surge events were analyzed. Surge currents of $1\sim3$ times were recorded in one running service route and their magnitudes were ranges of $150A\sim2kA$. Also, an acceleration experiment on a lightning arrester by the standard lightning impulse current of 8/20 us and 5 kA was performed to know the aging characteristics. After the surge current application of 3,000 times, the reference voltage decreased by 4.5 %, and the leakage current was below 10 uA at the continuous operating voltage and about 50 uA at the rated voltage. From the experimental results, we propose a decision level of leakage current for the arrester used in this paper and designed an arrester tester which analyzes arrester condition by the magnitude of leakage current.

  • This paper concerns with a method to improve the current and power waveforms of the variable speed $3{\Phi}$ AC motor system driven by the single-pulse PWM, and the current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms are analyzed by FFT under various running conditions. By the performance analysis through the experiments, the following results have been obtained. AC source of pseudo sine waveform can be obtained from the modulated alternating square voltage by means of the well designed LC filter. It is confirmed that current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms can be improved by utilizing the high order low pass LC filter than that of lower order. Especially, current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms tan be much improved at low frequency domain. $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms have a smatter ripple and bigger power by utilizing the high order low pass LC filter than that of lower order. Also, the running condition of $3{\Phi}$ AC motor is good at low frequency domain.

호남고속철도 전차선로의 이상 상태 분석 (Analysis for Catenary System with Focus on Abnomal Conditions on Honam High Speed Line)

  • The overhead contact line (OCL) is a key piece of equipment for transmitting electrical energy to the pantograph of rail cars. Recently, a 400 km/h OCL was applied to the Honam high-speed line, and its performance was examined by running HEMU-430X. For the study, we analyzed the current of catenary wire concurrently while running HEMU-430X in the Honam high-speed line. Specifically, this study recorded the currents for each speed during operation of the railway vehicle. The analysis of the frequency of line current showed generation of third-harmonics, 15th-harmonics, 17th-harmonics, and 19th-harmonics. The current of catenary wire is a basic technology assessment used to determine the electrical safety of electric railway systems, and it can be used as a technology for analyzing circulating currents generated in the current configuration, as well as for analyzing electric fatigue of the OCL components.

컨버터가 내장된 교류발전기 병렬운전중의 헌팅 억제에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Controlling Method of Hunting Inducing Point during Parallel Running of alternator Equipped with converter)

  • This paper is a research for removing the hunting which came about during the parallel running of the alternators which four-pole six-phase have the converter with twelve diodes to rectify all the waves. Druing the parallel running the hunting came about under the period of 0.2-0.3{sec} not when it's load was the resistance but the capacity at the rpm band 1575[rpm] 1690[rpm] This hunting in our judgement was not come about from the general hunting causes which have been already known to but the special example. And so we checked that the hunting came about or not as per the changes of the rpm exciting current load current and converter and converter output voltage and the following facts were revealed. -The hunting occured during the constant voltage charging where r. p. m band is from 1575[rpm] to 1690[rpm] - The hunting did not came about during the constant power charging in which there was the large difference between the converter output voltage and the battery voltage. -The hunting did not came about in the low rpm band. We could see from the above facts that the existence of the hunting inducing point at the con-stant voltage charging band was the direct cause of the hunting. After trying every possible means to remove the hunting inducing point we could know that the modification of the synchronous generator is suitable for he purpos in view of the small engine room.

  • To consider dynamic magnification effect at the static design stage, impact factor is applied to design load. Current impact factor adopted EUROCODE without domestic verification through theoretical and experimental studies. This study evaluated impact factor of railway bridges from dynamic response under KTX running. Moving Average Method was applied to calculate impact factor. Investigation considering different type of bridges and tracks including velocity was conducted.

  • 본 논문은 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서 누설전류와 변전소로부터 공급되는 전류의 분포에 대하여 다루었다. 일반적으로 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서는 운행용 레일을 귀로 전류(부극성)의 도체로 사용하고 있으며, 이러한 조건은 추가적인 도체의 설치를 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 경제성을 고려한 것이다. 그러나 운행용 레일과 대지 사이의 저항이 작은 경우에는 대지로 흐르는 누설전류가 문제가 된다. 이 누설전류는 레일 주변에 설치된 지하 매설물에 영향을 미치며, 인체의 안전과도 관련이 있다. 따라서 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서 누설전류를 억제하는 것은 차량의 운전이나 안전 측면에서 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 직류전기철도 급전시스템에 대하여 CDEGS의 SPLIT 프로그램을 이용하여 레일의 전류분포를 시뮬레이션하였고, 레일의 누설저항 크기에 따른 누설전류 변동치를 도출하였다.

아킬레스건 파열 수술 후 걷기 및 달리기 운동역학적 분석 (Biomechanical Analysis of Walking and Running after a Surgically Repaired Achilles Tendon Rupture)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in muscle strength, kinematics, and kinetics between injured and non-injured sides of the leg after Achilles Tendon Rupture surgery during walking and running. Method: The subjects (n=11; age = 30.63 ± 5.69 yrs; height = 172.00 ± 4.47 cm; mass = 77.00 ± 11.34 kg; time lapse from surgery = 29.81 ± 10.27 months) who experienced Achilles Tendon Rupture (ATR) surgery participated in this study. The walking and running trials were collected using infrared cameras (Oqus 300, Qualisys, Sweden, 100 Hz) on instrumented treadmill (Bertec, U.S.A., 1,000 Hz) and analyzed by using QTM (Qualisys Track Manager Ver. 2.15; Qualisys, U.S.A). The measured data were processed using Visual 3D (C-motion Inc., U.S.A.). The cutoff frequencies were set as 6 Hz and 12 Hz for walking and running kinematics respectively, while 100 Hz was used for force plate data. Results: In ATR group, muscle strength there were no difference between affected and unaffected sides (p> .05). In kinematic analysis, subjects showed greater ROM of knee joint flexion-extension in affected side compared to that of unaffected side during walking while smaller ROM of ankle dorsi-plantar and peak knee flexion were observed during running (p< .05). In kinetic analysis, subjects showed lower knee extension moment (running at 2.2 m/s) and positive ankle plantar-flexion power (running at 2.2 m/s, 3.3 m/s) in affected side compared to that of unaffected side (p< .05). This lower positive ankle joint power during a propulsive phase of running is related to slower ankle joint velocity in affected side of the subjects (p< .05). Conclusion: This study aimed to investigate the functional evaluation of the individuals after Achilles tendon rupture surgery through biomechanical analysis during walking and running trials. Based on the findings, greater reduction in dynamic joint function (i.e. lower positive ankle joint power) was found in the affected side of the leg compared to the unaffected side during running while there were no meaningful differences in ankle muscle strength and walking biomechanics. Therefore, before returning to daily life and sports activities, biomechanical analysis using more dynamic movements such as running and jumping trials followed by current clinical evaluations would be helpful in preventing Achilles tendon re-rupture or secondary injury.

교류발전기 병렬운전시 과도현상 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Transient Phenomenon Analysis at the instant of Parallel Running for A.C. Generators)

  • It is common knowledge amongst electrical and marine engineers that short-circuit in electrical system may cause large mechanical torque on generator and prime mover However, it is not so widely known that the faulty synchronizing of generators may cause even higher torques than that of short-circuit. In this study, the transient phenomena related to the parallel running of synchronous generators are analyzed and the exact computer simulation method is proposed. In result, maximum transient torque and current take place in case of $120^{\circ}$ voltage angle difference between Master and Slave and that may develop higher torque than the short-circuit according to a condition of synchronizing. When synchronizing in power system using only two generators higher torque and current occur Master, but using multimachine system those occur to Slave. The short-circuit of marine generator does not happen frequently but faulty synchronizing sometimes takes place, therefore, it is necessary for designers to consider these phenomena.
