수평틀림이 KTX 주행안전성에 미치는 영향 분석 (Characteristics of the Running behavior and Safety for KTX due to Twist)

  • Vehicle dynamic behavior should be investigated to establish the track irregularity criteria because they have an impact on vehicle dynamic behavior. The influence of twist on running behavior and safety for KTX was instigated by numerical analysis among track geometry quality parameters such as vertical alignment, lateral alignment, twist and track gauge in this paper. The wavelength and amplitude of twist were considered in scenario of this numerical analysis. This research is based on just numerical analysis and the final result which include measurement will be published in the future.

  • Various installation faults may lie in fasteners in the construction of a direct-fixation track by the top-down method. At an extreme, they may cause excessive interaction between the train and track, compromise the running safety of the train, and cause damage to the track components. Therefore, the faults need to be kept within the allowable level through an investigation of their effects on the interactions between the train and track. In this study, the vertical dynamic stiffness of fasteners in installation faults was measured based on the dynamic stiffness test by means of an experimental apparatus that was devised to feasibly reproduce gap faults. This study proposes an effective analytical model for a train-track interaction system in which most elements, except the nonlinear wheel-rail contact and some components that behave bi-linearly, exhibit linear behavior. To investigate the effect of the behavior of fasteners in gap faults in a direct-fixation track on the vehicle and track, vehicle-track interaction analyses were carried out, targeting key review parameters such as the wheel load reduction factor, vertical rail displacement, rail bending stress, and mean stress of the elastomer. From the results, it was noted that the gap faults in the concrete bearing surface of a direct-fixation track need to be limited for the sake of the long-term durability of the elastomer than for the running safety of the train or the structural safety of the track.

플로팅 슬래브궤도와 일반 콘크리트궤도 접속구간에서의 열차 주행 안전, 승차감 및 궤도 사용성 평가 (Assessment of Train Running Safety, Ride Comfort and Track Serviceability at Transition between Floating Slab Track and Conventional Concrete Track)

  • 열차 진동 저감을 위한 플로팅 슬래브궤도의 설계에 있어서 주행 안전, 승차감 및 사용성을 확보하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 플로팅 슬래브궤도에서 열차 주행안전과 승차감, 사용성 확보를 위한 요구조건을 분석하여 제시하였고, 열차-궤도 상호작용을 고려한 동적 해석기법을 적용하여 시스템 고유진동수, 스프링 지지간격 및 배치방법, 감쇠비 등 주요 시스템 설계변수에 따라 일반 콘크리트궤도와의 접속구간을 포함한 플로팅 슬래브궤도 구간에서의 열차 및 궤도의 동적 거동을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 일반 궤도와 플로팅슬래브궤도 간의 접속구간에서의 지지강성의 차이에 의해 윤중 변동율, 레일 응력, 레일 인상력 등의 동적 응답이 크게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 따라서 접속구간에서 스프링 지지간격을 좁히거나 스프링 강성의 차이를 완화시키는 방안이 주행안전과 궤도 사용성 확보를 위해 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 한편 차체 가속도로 평가하는 승차감은 접속구간에서의 지지강성의 차이에 의해서는 거의 영향을 받지 않고, 시스템 튜닝 주파수에 의해 가장 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 승차감 확보를 위해서는 적절한 시스템 튜닝 주파수를 선정하는 것이 매우 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 이 밖에 감쇠비, 스프링 간격, 열차속도에 따른 영향을 분석하였다.

Running safety of high-speed train on deformed railway bridges with interlayer connection failure

  • In a railway bridge, the CRTS II slab ballastless track is subjected to interlayer connection failures, such as void under slab, mortar debonding, and fastener fracture. This study investigates the influences of interlayer connection failure on the safe operation of high-speed trains. First, a train-track-bridge coupled vibration model and a bridge-track deformation model are established to study the running safety of a train passing a deformed bridge with interlayer connection failure. For each type of the interlayer connection failure, the effects of the failure locations and ranges on the track irregularity are studied using the deformation model. Under additional bridge deformation, the effects of interlayer connection failure on the dynamic responses of the train are investigated by using the track irregularity as the excitation to the vibration model. Finally, parametric studies are conducted to determine the thresholds of additional bridge deformations considering interlayer connection failure. Results show that the interlayer connection failure significantly affects the running safety of high-speed train and must be considered in determining the safety thresholds of additional bridge deformation in the asset management of high-speed railway bridges.

실제선로 조건에 따른 철도차량의 주행안전성 해석 (An Analysis of Running Safety for Railway Vehicle Depending on Actual Track Conditions)

  • 기존선 속도향상 시에 주행안전성을 고려한 기존선 구간별 최대 운행가능속도에 대한 실용적인 기준 을 제시하여 기존선의 곡선부 및 완화곡선부 통과 시 속도를 향상시켜야 한다. 본 연구에서는 탈선의 위험도가 높은 곡선부 통과하는 열차의 고속향상을 도모하기 위하여 실제 선로조건인 남성현-청도 상 하행 구간에서의 곡선부 구간별 통과시 주행안전성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 곡선반경별 주행속도를 실제 선로 조건에서의 기존 속도 대비 5-20% 향상시켜 주행안전성 해석을 수행하였다. 주행안전성 해석 결과, 기존 주행속도 대비 약 15% 이하의 속도조건에서는 탈선 계수와 윤중감소율이 허용기준 이내로 나타나 남성현-청도 상 하행 전 구간 내에서 속도 향상의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Recently, the rise of the rail temperature is accelerating further due to the global warming, and the track stability(buckling) problem result from the axial force in the continuous welded rail(CWR) have become the most important issue. This track stability threatens the security of running trains in the hot summer. In order to prevent the track buckling in the hot summer and ensure the safety of the running train, as a part of the safety control plan for KORAIL high-speed railway, the train speed restriction according to the rail temperature was introduced in 2004. However, the conceptual and theoretical background of train-speed restriction is uncertain. In this paper, the theoretical study about the reasonable train-speed restriction is performed. For this purpose, the risk-based probabilistic stability evaluation of the track buckling is applied.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 호남선과 경부선의 기존선 전철화 선로의 곡선부에서 G7 개발차량과 KTX 차량의 속도를 증가해서 주행했을 경우 궤도구조의 성능평가와 주행안전성를 측정 분석한 것이다. 구조안전성과 주행안정성 평가를 위해서 측정기준으로 정립하였으며 계측망도를 구성하여 현장 계측을 수행하였다. 윤중, 횡압과 레일수직, 수평변위, 침목수직변위, 레일응력을 측정하였으며 이 결과를 토대로 궤도구조의 부담력과 열차 주행안정성을 평가하였다.

  • When the high-speed train running on the track, there is a speed limit which track distortion is unusually increased according to condition of track and roadbed. This speed limit is called critical velocity, and physical parameter value increased very greatly. These phenomenon happened as high-speed train were developed, studied regularly through TGV 100 running test in France. As research result until now, the main reason is soft roadbed's capacity. Wave propagation and track support capacity is varied by the site characteristics. This paper achieved theoretical examination about resonance band(speed and frequency) that occurred in roadbed on the base rock in point of geotechnical engineering. The examination of resonance divides with ground response analysis, critical band analysis by the shear wave velocity of roadbed, train critical speed through the ground stratum.

  • In this paper, train running test and lateral resistant force test are conducted before and after sprinkling the ballast stabilizer in order to investigate the dynamic behaviors and parameters of the railroad track. The measured results are used to confirm the effect of the stabilizer and to validate the numerical results. From this paper, it is known that the stabilizer used in this study has excellent effect on increasing the vertical rigidity and the lateral resistance, and some correction factors should be considered on masses and rigidities of the track components in order to calculate the vibration magnitude reasonably due to running train.

  • The rail cant produces a wider bearing area between the wheel and the rail by moving the wheel-rail contact area away from the gauge towards the centre of the railhead, thus improving the wear pattern of the railhead and wheel treads. It is essential to keep the rail cant within the allowable range to ensure optimum track geometry. Neglecting the rail cant geometrical parameters in a track quality evaluation can cause safety of railway vehicle and serviceability problems. In this paper, we examined the effect of the rail cant in general geometry state of the railway track using VI-Rail and analyzed running safety when the railway vehicle passing through curves depending on change of the rail cant and running speed.
