Splitting Algorithms and Recovery Rules for Zero Anaphora Resolution in Korean Complex Sentences (한국어 복합문에서의 제로 대용어 처리를 위한 분해 알고리즘과 복원규칙)

  • Zero anaphora occurs frequently in Korean complex sentences, and it makes the interpretation of sentences difficult. This paper proposes splitting algorithms and zero anaphora recovery rules for the purpose of handling zero anaphora, and also presents a resolution methodology. The paper covers quotations, conjunctive sentences and embedded sentences out of the complex sentences shown in the newspaper articles, with an exclusion of embedded sentences of auxiliary verb. We manage the quotations using the equivalent noun phrase deletion rule according to subject person constraint, the nominalized embedded sentences using the equivalent noun phrase deletion rule, the adnominal embedded sentences using the relative noun phrase deletion rule and the conjunctive sentences using the conjunction reduction rule in reverse. The classified table of the endings which relate to a formation of the complex sentences is used for splitting the complex sentences, and the syntactic rules, applied when being omitted, are used in reverse for recovering zero anaphora. The presented rule showed the result of 83.53% in perfect resolution and 11.52% in partial resolution.

  • Nowadays, with increasing many vehicles on restricted roads, the conventional traffic light creates prove startup-delaytime and end-lag-time. The conventional traffic light loses the function of optimal cycle. And so, 30∼45% of conventional traffic cycle is not matched to the present traffic cycle. In this paper proposes electrosensitive traffic light using fuzzy look up table method which will reduce the average vehicle waiting time and improve average vehicle speed. Computer simulation results prove that reducing the average vehicle waiting time which proposed considering passing vehicle length for optimal traffic cycle is better than fixed signal method which doesn't consider vehicle length.

  • In this paper, we interpreted and evaluated the relation between the sensation of equilibrium and biomedical signal automatically by applying the fuzzy theory. We induced the vertigo by using the caloric test, and presented the correlation between vertigo and biomedical signal by using the quantification method. We objectively analyzed the organic relation of the biomedical signal by fuzzy rule design using the table-lookup scheme and obtained good result in recognizing the level of the sensation of equilibrium.

  • 일반적으로 HTML문서는 크게 내용과 구조로 이루어져 있다. HTML은 일반 문서와 달리 태그라는 것으로 문서에 추가 정보를 주며, 문서의 내용을 더욱 명확하게 한다. 따라서 태그를 이용하면 일반 문서보다 정보를 쉽게 구별하고 추출할 수 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 태그들 중에서 본 연구는 표를 중점적으로 연구한다. 표는 행과 열을 이용하여 어떤 사실을 조직하여 전달하는 것으로, 다른 구조적 특성들 보다 정보를 조직하는데 매우 유용하며, 글로 기술할 많은 분량을 간단히 줄이는 역할을 한다. 이와 같은 표의 특성에 주목하여 표에서 정보를 추출하는 분야를 기존 연구자들은 Web Table Mining 명명하였다. 본 연구는 기존 연구자들이 간과한 표의 구조적인 특성을 이용하여 전체 인터넷 문서에 적용할 수 있는 방법과 함께, 표에서 의미 있는 정보 추출을 위한 단계적인 모형을 제시한다.

Encoding of XML Elements for Mining Association Rules

  • Mining of association rules is to find associations among data items that appear together in some transactions or business activities. As of today, algorithms for association rule mining, as well as for other data mining tasks, are mostly applied to relational databases. As XML being adopted as the universal format for data storage and exchange, mining associations from XML data becomes an area of attention for researchers and developers. The challenge is that the semi-structured data format in XML is not directly suitable for traditional data mining algorithms and tools. In this paper we present an encoding method to encode XML tree-nodes. This method is used to store the XML data in Value Table and Transaction Table that can be easily accessed via indexing. The hierarchical relationship in the original XML tree structure is embedded in the encoding. We applied this method to association rules mining of XML data that may have missing data.

  • A new fuzzy logic control design algorithm suitable for multi-objective control problems is proposed based on the orthogonal array which is widely used for design of experiments in statistics and industrial engineering. The essence of the algorithm is to introduce Nth-certainty factor defined from the F-value of the ANOVA(analysis of variance) table, in order to effectively exclude the less confident rules. The proposed algorithm with multi-objective decision table(MODT) is found to be capable of the detection of inconsistency and the rule classification, reduction and modification. It is also shown that the algorithm can be successfully applied to the fuzzy controller design of an active magnetic bearing system.

  • In order to compansate the problem of fragmentating data and disdaining small group of data in decision trees, a descriptive rule set discovery method is suggested. The principle of association rule finding algorithm is presented and a modified association nile finding algorithm for efficiency is applied to target database which has condition and decision attributes to see the effect of modification.

  • Today any data storage system cannot satisfy all of these conditions, however holographic data storage system can perform faster data transfer rate because it is a page oriented memory system using volume hologram in writing and retrieving data. System can be constructed without mechanically actuating part therefore fast data transfer rate and high storage capacity about 1Tb/cm3 can be realized. In this research, to reduce errors of binary data stored in holographic data storage system, a new method for bit error reduction is suggested. Firstly, find fuzzy rule to use test bed system for Element of Holographic Digital Data System. Secondly, make fuzzy rule table using DNA coding method. Finally, reduce prior error element and recording digital data. Recording ratio and reconstruction ratio show good performance.
