  • Recently, Electronic Distance Meter(EDM) is widely used for the traverse surveying and trilateration net. In this study, the closed traverse network is precisely adjusted by simultaneous adjustment of the observed angle and distance, using the Electronic Total Stations (Set 3). And also, it is examined that each kind accidental errors appear observed angles according to the observed distance and the number of repeating angle. In addition to the result, of checking between the simultaneous adjustment, the compass rule and transit rule, simultaneous adjustment in combination of the observed angle and distance is more accurate and effective than other adjustment.

  • Inference rules of the knowledge base, generated by experts or optimization, may be often inconsistent and incomplete. This paper suggests a systematic and automatic method which extracts inference rules not from experts' subject but from data. First, input/output linguistic variables are partitioned into several properties by the fuzzy equalization algorithm and each combination of their properties comes to premise of inference rule. Then, the conclusion which is the mast suitable for the premise is selected by evaluating consistent measure. This method, automatically from data, derives inference rules from experience. It is shown through application that extracts new inference rules between hull dimensions and hull performance.

  • Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) research is recently actively underway. Especially, fuel cell battery hybrid systems are widely used to overcome the limitations of continuous operation. However, fuel cell systems must be operated in combination with a battery due to their low specific output characteristics. Therefore, a hybrid power system model for UAVs is developed. The rule-based strategy is applied to the model to properly distribute power to batteries and fuel cells. As a result, the designed rule-based power distribution control operates UAVs while maintaining battery state of charge(SOC) at an appropriate level.

  • To quickly and accurately grasp the consistency and the true/false of sentence description, we may require the help of a computer. It is thus necessary to research and quickly and accurately grasp the consistency and the true/false of sentence description by computer processing techniques. This requires research and planning for the whole study, namely a plan for the necessary tables and those of processing, and development of the table of the five logic rules. In future research, it will be necessary to create and develop the table of ten basic inference rules and the eleven kinds of derived inference rules, and it will be necessary to build a DB of those tables and the computer processing of sentence logic using server programming JSP and client programming JAVA over its foundation. In this paper we present the overall research plan in referring to the logic operation table, dividing the logic and inference rules, and preparing the listed process sequentially by dividing the combination of their use. These jobs are shown as a variable table and a symbol table, and in subsequent studies, will input a processing table and will perform the utilization of server programming JSP, client programming JAVA in the construction of subject/predicate part activated DB, and will prove the true/false of a sentence. In considering the table prepared in chapter 2 as a guide, chapter 3 shows the creation and development of the table of the five logic rules, i.e, The Rule of Double Negation, De Morgan's Rule, The Commutative Rule, The Associative Rule, and The Distributive Rule. These five logic rules are used in Propositional Calculus, Sentential Logic Calculus, and Statement Logic Calculus for sentence logic.

  • This paper intends to present an application of isogeometric analysis in crack problems. An isogeometric formula is developed based on NURBS basis functions - enriched and adopted via X-FEM enrichment functions. The proposed method which is represented by the combination of the two above-mentioned methods, first by using NURBS functions models the geometry exactly and then by defining level set function on domain, identifies available discontinuity in elements. Additional DOFs are allocated to elements containing the crack and X-FEM enrichment functions enrich approximate solution. Moreover, a subelement refinement technique is used to improve the accuracy of integration by the Gauss quadrature rule. Finally, several numerical examples are illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness, robustness and accuracy of the proposed method during calculation of crack parameters.

  • Theoretical efforts were taken to investigate an optimum heat treatment process in martensitic stainlesssteel. The approach is based on the combination of the interpolation and extrapolation method of a standard heat treatment technology with the principle of quenching and tempering temperature difference. The relationship of macroscopic structure and fracture toughness and ductility as well as the Hardness and strength has been focused to induce a simple rule to apply with feasibility. As a result it was found that the grain size influences to the fracture toughness and ductility significantly.

  • This paper presents the implementation of fuzzy PI gain scheduling controller (FPICGS) for controlling flexible joint robot arms with uncertainties from time-varying load. The term FPICGS is called based on a combination of fuzzy PI control scheme with a set of rule bases. Principle of design for a FPICGS is given along with the implementation of the designed computer aided control system. The experiment reveals an effectiveness of the proposed control scheme for flexible joint robot arms driven by a DC motorhooked with a spring which both parameters are completely unknown parameters ...

  • In this paper, it will be assumed that there are two distinct populations which are multivariate normal with equal covariance matrix. We also assume that the two populations are equally likely and the costs of misclassification are equal. The classification rule depends on the situation when the training samples include missing values or not. We consider the bootstrap confidence intervals for classification error rate when a block of observation is missing.

  • In this paper, the limit temperature for applying maturity method are discussed. 4 kinds of W/C in combination of 7kinds of curing temperature are selected as experimental parameters. According to the experimental results, high curing temperature and low W/C gain in strength rapidly. And maturity rule can be applied less than $30^{\cire}C$ in W/C of 30~60% in the conditions of this experiment.
