요트경기 핸디캡 시스템의 효율적 적용 방안에 관한 연구 (The Study for the effective handicap system of racing yachts)

  • Reaseach efforts regarding the handicap system for the fair determination of the ranking of yacht racing for various sizes have started in the end of 19th century led by Europe and America.The development of the handicap system started in 1952 as inshore and offshore races began. A simple empirical handicap system has been selected by IOR and IMS rule in mid 70's, and more advanced technique based on theoretical and computer simulation has been selected in late 70's by IMS rule. While each techniques have relative merits, it is found that the simple empirical handicap system is more effective than the advanced technique in term of reliability and easiness of use as more racing records are accumulated.

한강수계 저수지군의 갈수대응 운영을 위한 Hedging Rule의 개발과 적용성 평가 (Development and Assessment of Hedging Rule for Han River Reservoir System Operation against Severe Drought)

  • 본 연구는 수계관리 측면에서 물 공급의 기준이 되는 하류 제어지점에서 발생할 수 있는 물 부족을 최소 허용하면서 저수지군 최적 운영방안을 제공할 수 있도록 위험도 평가기준을 목적함수 및 제약조건에 반영한 hedging rule을 혼합정수계획법(MIP, Mixed Integer Programming)으로 구성하고 이에 대한 이행도를 분석함으로써 기존의 용수공급 신뢰도에 중점을 두었던 저수지군 최적 운영 분석기법을 개선하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한강수계 5개 저수지(소양강댐, 충주댐, 화천댐, 청평댐, 팔당댐)군을 대상으로 수계관리를 위한 모형을 구축하였으며, 한강수계 내에 총 8개의 가상 제어지점을 구성하여 댐 하류 제어지점에서의 물 부족에 대해 위험도를 평가하였으며, 개발된 hedging rule의 적정성을 검증하기 위하여 2개의 유입량 계열('93. 1월~'97. 12월, '99. 1월~'03. 12월)에 대하여 적용 검토하였다. 팔당댐 하류 제어지점의 월별 최소유량을 비교하면 '93. 1월~'97. 12월의 모의기간에서는 hedging rule 적용 시 $317.5{\times}10^6m^3$으로 단독운영의 $310.6{\times}10^6m^3$, 연계운영의 $56.3{\times}10^6m^3$ 보다 많은 유량을 보였으며, '99. 1월~'03. 12월의모의기간에서도 hedging rule 적용시 $243.7{\times}10^6m^3$ 으로 단독운영의 $204.2{\times}10^6m^3$, 연계운영의 $111.2{\times}10^6m^3$에 비해 최소 유량이 많은 것을 확인하였으며, 이는 제안한 hedging rule에 의해 하류 제어지점에서의 최대 물 부족량이 감소하는 결과를 보여주고 있다.

  • As the application domains of rule-based systems become larger and more complicated, the integration of rule-based systems within the database systems has become the topic of many research works. This paper suggests a simulation modeling using expert system and database. The integration methods employed in this research are as follows. First, we defined new states and state transition functions to interrelate simulation model and expert system. Second, we designed and implemented FCL(Fact Class Library) as a interface of expert system and database. FCL has facilities of filtering data from database, and assigning a meaning to the filtered data. Also, FCL detects the violation of the integrity rules in database, as the result of inference is reflected. Some implementation problems are pointed out and the methods to solve these problems are discussed in this paper, We developed a simulation model of the grating production line and executed it to validate the functions of the proposed method.

Development of a knowledge-based medical expert system to infer supportive treatment suggestions for pediatric patients

  • This paper discusses the design, implementation, and potential use of an ontology-based mobile pediatric consultation and monitoring system, which is a smart healthcare expert system for pediatric patients. The proposed system provides remote consultation and monitoring of pediatric patients during their illness at places distant from medical service areas. The system not only shares instant medical data with a pediatrician but also examines the data as a smart medical assistant to detect any emergency situation. In addition, it uses an inference engine to infer instant suggestions for performing certain initial medical treatment steps when necessary. The applied methodologies and main technical contributions have three aspects: (a) pediatric consultation and monitoring ontology, (b) semantic Web rule knowledge base, and (c) inference engine. Two case studies with real pediatric patients are provided and discussed. The reported results of the applied case studies are promising, and they demonstrate the applicability, effectiveness, and efficiency of the proposed approach.

CAD 시스템을 활용한 여중생의 슬랙스 패턴 그레이딩에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Junior-High School Girls' Slacks Pattern Grading by Using Apparel CAD System)

  • Nowadays, the use of apparel CAD system is important to the mass production of ready to wear Especially, computer-based grading is the most important process to improve the fitness of clothes and to reduce the time needed to make patterns of several sizes. The purpose of this study was to suggest a standard sizing system for junior-high school girls' lower clothes and to suggest a grading method according to the sizing systems. The subjects were 402 junior-high school girls of 13 to 15 year's-old. The size intervals of waist girth and hip girth were 3㎝ and 4㎝ respectively. The sizing system, which had frequencies more than 4.5%, was classified 8 cases. For regular grading, two types of group were classified into 58-82/61-86/64-90/67-94 and 61-82/64-86/67-90/70-94. Among them, 61-86 and 64-86 size were adopted the basic size for the development of grading. According to the sizing system, hand-made patterns were manufactured. By measure of the each part of the slacks, new grading rule patterns were developed by each size. A new grading rule was different from the Moonwha grading rule. This result will contribute to clothing fitness of consumer and the amount of production.

수입 화물의 위험 기반 검사(RBI)를 위한 규칙 기반 위험 분류 알고리즘의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Rule-based Risk Classification Algorithm for Risk-based Inspection (RBI) of Imported Goods)

  • In this paper, we describe a rule-based risk classification algorithm to perform Risk-based Inspection (RBI) on imported goods at customs. The RBI system is a method to automatically select which cargos have to be inspected and manage potential risks in boarder. In this study, we designed a rule-based risk classification algorithm for RBI solutions and implemented them using the Svelte web application framework. The risk classification algorithm proposed in this paper uses different indicative risk factors such as HS code, country of origin, importer's reliability, trade relationships, and logistics routes to classify cargos into Green, Yellow, and Red channels. To achieve this, we assigned risk categories to each risk factor and randomly generated risk scores within a specific range for each risk category. This system is expected to contribute to the increased efficiency of customs operations and protect public safety by minimizing the risk of imported hazardous materials.

다중 로봇 제조 물류 작업을 위한 안전성과 효율성 학습 (Safety and Efficiency Learning for Multi-Robot Manufacturing Logistics Tasks)

  • With the recent increase of multiple robots cooperating in smart manufacturing logistics environments, it has become very important how to predict the safety and efficiency of the individual tasks and dynamically assign them to the best one of available robots. In this paper, we propose a novel task policy learner based on deep relational reinforcement learning for predicting the safety and efficiency of tasks in a multi-robot manufacturing logistics environment. To reduce learning complexity, the proposed system divides the entire safety/efficiency prediction process into two distinct steps: the policy parameter estimation and the rule-based policy inference. It also makes full use of domain-specific knowledge for policy rule learning. Through experiments conducted with virtual dynamic manufacturing logistics environments using NVIDIA's Isaac simulator, we show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed system.

  • 본 논문에서는 통합플랫폼관리체제하에서 선박에서 발생하는 화재를 탐지하기 위하여 규칙 및 사례기반의 하이브리드 화재진압통제 지능시스템(H-FFIS)을 제안한다·기존의 화재진압통제 지능시스템은 대부분 규칙기반 시스템인데, 실제로 화재를 탐지하는데 필요한 지식은 정형화된 규칙만으로 표현하기 어려우며, 과거의 화재 발생 사례를 기초로 탐지하는 경우가 적지 않다. 또한 시스템의 성능 향상을 위해서 규칙을 계속 수정하고 추가해야 하는 단점이 있으며, 예외적인 상황에서 화재 가 발생시 적시에 화재를 탐지하는데 문제점을 지니고 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위하여 규칙 및 사례 기반의 하이브리드 지능시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 제안하는 시스템은 기존의 FFIS 와 비교해 볼 때 화재 탐지율을 향상시켰다.

온라인 게임에 나타난 사용자 생성 규칙 연구 - <리그 오브 레전드>를 중심으로 - (Study of User Generated Rules on Online game - focused on League of Legends -)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 온라인 게임에서 나타나는 사용자 생성 규칙의 양상 및 특징을 분석하고, 이를 통해 게임 내에서 플레이어의 정체성이 형성되는 방식을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 유즈맵 시스템에서 기원한 온라인 게임 <리그 오브 레전드>를 연구 대상으로 채택하고, 규칙 이론을 바탕으로 사용자에 의해 만들어진 규칙의 양상을 분석하였다. 그 결과 게임 내에서 지배적으로 나타나는 규칙은 개발자가 만든 규칙이 아닌 사용자로부터의 창발적인 규칙에 있었다. 그리고 이러한 사용자 생성 규칙은 규칙 발견과 다수 사용자에 의한 선택의 과정을 거치면서 궁극적으로 시스템의 상태 변화까지 이끌어낸다. 본 논문에서의 사용자 생성 규칙에 관한 연구는 게임 내에서의 사용자 역할을 제고할 수 있도록 한다는 측면에서 의의를 가질 것으로 기대한다.

  • Recommand Systems are being used by an ever-increasing number of E-Commerce to help customers find products to purchase. Recommend Systems offer a technology that allows personalized recommendations of items of potential interest to users based on information about similarities and dissimilarities among different customers tastes. In this paper, we design and build a Recommend System using the historical customer movie purchase transactions and extracts the knowledge needed to make association recommendations to new customers.
