Vibration-Analysis of rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle (고무차륜 AGT 경량전철 차량의 진동해석)

  • Dynamic model of the Korea standardized rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle, and boundary conditions between vehicle and infrastructures (running track, guidance rail) were defined to analyze vehicular vibration behaviors occurred at the worst condition. Using the commercialized software RecurDyn, vibration accelerations of car body and bogies were analyzed. and, based on the ISO standard 2631-1, the vibration characteristic test is performed in the test track. As the results, the Korea standardized rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle satisfied the ISO standard criteria and design requirement.

  • The LRT(light rail transit) system, which has medium transport capacity between subway and bus is an advanced transportation system. It has many benefits like chap construction and operational cost down through driverless and flexible route planning. The rubber tired AGT(K-AGT) is a kind of LRT, which has rubber wheels and side guides. The side guides has many advantages, but brings vibration and noise problems from the friction between the guide rail and the wheels. This is the major source for the of passengers' discomfort. The purpose of this paper is to analyze dynamic characteries and running stability of the rubber tired AGT localization bogie if the AGT's speed is increased from 70 km/h to 80 km/h. The current design parameters of bogie suspension, as it is designed, was examined to satisfy the comfort index of the railway vehicle in performance test.

  • Recently, to solve the urban transportation problem, the introduction of Light Rail Transit system has been proceeded positively. therefore, development of the Korean standard LRT system in which safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness are emphasized. The Korea Railroad Research institute study on Rubber Tired AGT system of Light Rail Transit to obtain the essential technology and engineering know-how, which leads lower LRT construction cost. In the development procedure, SE(system Engineering) is needed for combination of subsystem and optimum operation effect. This study is focused on the interface of LRT subsystem(Development of the rubber tired LRT, Power supply system, signalling and train control system, Elevated track structure for the rubber tired LRT), a important part of SE, to develop of the driverless LRT system and establish the test and evaluation.

  • Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI) has developed the rubber-tired AGT system from 1999 to 2005. The rubber-tired AGT system is now on test for its performance and function at the test line in Gyeong-San. This paper is concerned with the recent development of the AGT system and its reliability evaluation technology which are now being applied in test line. Also, we made the reliable program to assure required the RAMS((reliability, availability, maintainability & safety) of the AGT system.

  • Dynamic model of the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle. various load and boundary conditions between vehicle and infrastructures(running track. guidance rail) were defined to analyze vehicular dynamic behaviors occurred by inclement weather(strong wind and earthquake). The dynamic analysis were performed by using a commercialized software RecurDyn. whose results for the magnitudes of wind and earthquake showed the resultant forces and accelerations between car body and bogie, or bogie guidance frame and infrastructures in the various track conditions(straight or curved tracks) and train velocities. Based on these results, speed limitation of tile vehicle were proposed to ensure system stability and passengers safety.

  • The Light Rail Transit (LRT) System which has medium transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) is the most advanced transportation system. It has many benefits, cheap construction, operational costs through driverless and flexible route planning. Also, the rubber tired AGT (K-AGT) of various LRT has a rubber wheels and side guide. The side guide type has an many advantages. but occur a vibration and friction noise through contact between guide rail and wheel. Most of point that decreased comport is vibration thorough the guide contact. In this paper, It is purpose to improve the maximum running speed of rubber tired AGT localization bogie which is currently developed from 70km/h to 80km/h. To satisfy comport index of railway vehicle that is required in performance test. we examined coefficient of bogie suspension which is designed.

  • This study was aimed to prove the safety of rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle, which was designed to have the redundant equipment for safety, so the experiment of this paper was operated in condition of malfunction which we made such as bake sequence test and momentary interruption test.   • This study was aimed to establish the acceptable contact force range between power collector and 3rd rail type conductor rail, and ramp slope for the Korean standardized rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle. Dynamic behavior of the power collector, contact force variation and interruption in operation, were analyzed in the worst installation tolerance and various ramp slope of the conductor rail. The power collector was designed and manufactured to satisfy the Korean Standardized Specifications of the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle.
