The purpose of this research was to find out the housing history of Sakhalin returnees in Ansan Gohyangmaeul since leaving hometown under the Japanese ruling period, who experienced two international migration for one's life. Face to face interview had been done with 20 returnees in the community center of Ansan Gohyangmaeul during October to December, 2008. The semi-structured questionnaire about housing the respondents lived in major life changes used to guide the individual interview. The results showed that personal life as well as housing histories were differed by the reason to move into Sakhalin, which still influenced the returnee' life up to now. The housing they had lived changed from barracks like a training camp, to Japanese small wooden cottage/row house, and then Russian brick house/ apartment. Housing alteration and addition and rebuilding were common to renew the old existing house. The boundary of residing area was mostly limited to the first residing location under soviet governing system throughout one's life without a long distance move. Housing satisfaction was very high in Gohyangmaeul because of the improvement of housing facilities and residence itself as well as the convenience of housing management, compared to former residence in Sakhalin. Economic and emotional aspects of life satisfaction were also high during about 8 years of living in the apartment. Forced movers still require the compensation on hand to either Korean or Japanese government no matter the amount. Social integration to the Korean community would be one of the main issues to new returnees as well as the already returned. In-depth interviews of case study need to reveal the unique housing experience of the forced mover according to the type of leaving hometown by oneself or by parents, and to returned region and time to motherland.
Deep excavations for development of subway systems in metropolitan regions surrounded by adjacent buildings is an important geotechnical problem, especialy in Tabriz city, where is mostly composed of young alluvial soils and weak marly layers. This study analyzes the wall displacement and ground surface settlement due to deep excavation in the Tabriz marls using two dimensional finite element method. The excavation of the station L2-S17 was selected as a case study for the modelling. The excavation is supported by the concrete diaphragm wall and one row of steel struts. The analyses investigate the effects of wall stiffness and excavation width on the excavation-induced deformations. The geotechnical parameters were selected based on the results of field and laboratory tests. The results indicate that the wall deflection and ground surface settlement increase with increasing excavation depth and width. The change in maximum wall deflection and ground settlement with considerable increase in wall stiffness is marginal, however the lower wall stiffness produces the larger wall and ground displacements. The maximum wall deflections induced by the excavation with a width of 8.2 m are 102.3, 69.4 and 44.3 mm, respectively for flexible, medium and stiff walls. The ratio of maximum ground settlement to maximum lateral wall deflection approaches to 1 with increasing wall stiffness. It was found that the wall stiffness affects the settlement influence zone. An increase in the wall stiffness results in a decrease in the settlements, an extension in the settlement influence zones and occurrence of the maximum settlements at a larger distance from the wall. The maximum of settlement for the excavation with a width of 14.7 m occurred at 6.1, 9.1 and 24.2 m away from the wall, respectively, for flexible, medium and stiff walls.

A magnetic device which enables the application of a strong and uniform magnetic field to thin film during sputtering was designed for controlling the magnetic anisotropy using a three dimensional finite element method, and the effects of the external magnetic field on the magnetic properties of sputtered thin films were investigated. Both the intensity and the uniformity of the magnetic flux density in the sputter zone (50 mm ${\times}$50 mm) was dependent on not only the shape and size of the magnet device but also the magnitude of stray fields from the magnet. For the magnet device in which the distance between two magnets or two pure iron bars was 80-90 mm, the magnetic flux density along the direction normal to the external magnetic field direction was minimum. The two row magnets increased the magnetic flux density and uniformity along the external magnetic field direction. An Fe thin film sputtered using the optimized magnet device showed a higher remanence ratio than that fabricated under no external magnetic field.
Deep-learning-based image segmentation is one of the most widely employed lane detection approaches, and it requires a post-process for extracting the key points on the lanes. A general approach for key-point extraction is using a fixed threshold defined by a user. However, finding the best threshold is a manual process requiring much effort, and the best one can differ depending on the target data set (or an image). We propose a novel key-point extraction algorithm that automatically adapts to the target image without any manual threshold setting. In our adaptive key-point extraction algorithm, we propose a line-level normalization method to distinguish the lane region from the background clearly. Then, we extract a representative key point for each lane at a line (row of an image) using a kernel density estimation. To check the benefits of our approach, we applied our method to two lane-detection data sets, including TuSimple and CULane. As a result, our method achieved up to 1.80%p and 17.27% better results than using a fixed threshold in the perspectives of accuracy and distance error between the ground truth key-point and the predicted point.
This study was carried out to determine the optimum nodes of pinching and fruit setting in muskmelon cultured by deep flow technique. A fruit was set either at 7~8th, 11~12th, or 15~16th nodes, and main shoot was pinched either at 22nd or 27th node. Distance between rows was set the same at 100cm, while the distance between plant in the row was set at 25, 35, 45, or 55cm. In treatments with the same node of fruit setting, fruit quality was enhanced and mean fruit weight increased on 22nd node compared to 27th node. terms of fruit quality as affected by node of fruit setting, larger fruits with lower soluble solid concentrations were produced as fruits were set at higher nodes. In terms of planting density, larger fruits with higher concentrations of soluble solid were produced in the 100cm$\times$45cm and 100cm$\times$55cm treatments compared to 100cm$\times$25cm or 100cm$\times$35cm treatment. Total fruit yields decreased as the planting density decreased. However, percent marketable fruits produced was the greatest in the 100cm$\times$45cm treatment, followed in descending order 100cm$\times$25cm, 100cm$\times$35cm, and 100cm$\times$55cm treatments.
With the wide applications of fiber-reinforced composite material in aero-structures and mechanical parts, the design of composite joints have become a very important research area because the joints are often the weakest areas in composite structures. This paper presents an analytical study of the stress distributions in mechanically single-fastened and multi-fastened composite laminates. The finite element models which treat the pin and hole contact problem using a contact stress analysis are described. A dimensionless stress concentration factor is used to compare the stress distributions in composite laminates quantitatively In the case of single-pin loaded composite laminate, the effects of stacking sequence, the ratio of a hole diameter and the width of a laminate (W/D ratio), the ratio of hole diameter and distance from edge to hole (E/D ratio), friction coefficient and clamping force are considered. In the case of multi-pin loaded composite laminate, the influence of the number of pins, pitch distance, number of rows, row spacing and hole pattern are considered. The results show that P/D ratio and E/D ratio affect more on stress distributions near the hole boundary than the other factors. In the case of multi-pin loaded composite laminate, the stress concentration in the double column case is better than the other cases of multi-pin loaded composite laminate.

The aim of this study was to examine geographic variation to support a genetic resource conservation plan of rare endemic Picea jezoensis (Siebold & Zucc.) Carriere. Three populations of P. jezoensis were analysed using multivariate analysis for 7 characteristics of needle morphology. In the morphological characters, seven characters of needle were 15.11 mm (needle length), 1.43 mm (needle width), 0.42 mm (needle thickness), 10.9 (length / width of needle), 3.6 (width / thickness of needle), 0.47 mm (Distance between resin duct and vascular), 17.4 ea. (number of stomata row), respectively. Nested analysis showed that were statistically significant differences among populations as well as among individuals within populations in 6 quantitative characters. In 5 of 7 characters, variance components among populations were higher than those among individuals within populations. Cluster analysis using complete linkage method showed two groups (Mt. Gyebang populations was genetically distinct from the other two populations) to Euclidean distance 0.4. Among principal components, primary 2 principal components appeared to be major variables because of the loading contribution of 100%.
The purpose is to find out where medical workers can receive the minimum radiation does in clinical. In order to sett RQR standard quality of radiation, put a Al 1.5mm filter(row and column: 10 cm × 10 cm) on X-ray tube. Al 0.9 mm, Cu 0.3 mm, Ni 0.3 mm used as a filter.
