This paper proposes a high-throughput and multi-mode quasi-cyclic (QC) low-density parity-check (LDPC) decoder based on a fully parallel structure. The proposed QC-LDPC decoder employs the fully parallel structure to provide very high throughput. The high interconnection complexity, which is the general problem in the fully parallel structure, is solved by using a broadcasting-based sum-product algorithm and proposing a low-complexity cyclic shift network. The high complexity problem, which is caused by using a large amount of check node processors and variable node processors, is solved by proposing a combined check and variable node processor (CCVP). The proposed QC-LDPC decoder can support the multi-mode decoding by proposing a routing-based interconnection network, the flexible CCVP and the flexible cyclic shift network. The proposed QC-LDPC decoder is operated at 100 MHz clock frequency. The proposed QC-LDPC decoder supports multi-mode decoding and provides 8.1 Gbps throughput for a (1944, 1620) QC-LDPC code.
This study suggested a technique to maintain an efficient core-based multicast tree using weighted clustering factors in mobile Ad-hoc networks. The biggest problem with the core-based multicast tree routing is to decide the position of core node. The distance of data transmission varies depending on the position of core node. The overhead's effect on the entire network is great according to the recomposition of the multicast tree due to the movement of core node, clustering is used. A core node from cluster head nodes on the multicast tree within core area whose weighted factor is the least is chosen as the head core node. Way that compose multicast tree by weighted clustering factors thus and propose keeping could know that transmission distance and control overhead according to position andmobility of core node improve than existent multicast way, and when select core node, mobility is less, and is near in center of network multicast tree could verification by simulation stabilizing that transmission distance is short.

Finding shortest paths on time dependent networks is an important task for scheduling and routing plan and real-time navigation system in ITS. In this research, one-to-one time dependent shortest path algorithms based on link flow speeds on urban networks are proposed. For this work, first we select three general shortest path algorithms such as Graph growth algorithm with two queues, Dijkstra's algorithm with approximate buckets and Dijkstra's algorithm with double buckets. These algorithms were developed to compute shortest distance paths from one node to all nodes in a network and have proven to be fast and efficient algorithms in real networks. These algorithms are extended to compute a time dependent shortest path from an origin node to a destination node in real urban networks. Three extended algorithms are implemented on a data set from real urban networks to test and evaluate three algorithms. A data set consists of 4 urban street networks for Anaheim, CA, Baltimore, MD, Chicago, IL, and Philadelphia, PA. Based on the computational results, among the three algorithms for TDSP, the extended Dijkstra's algorithm with double buckets is recommended to solve one-to-one time dependent shortest path for urban street networks.

The dynamic clustering technique has some problems regarding energy consumption. In the cluster configuration aspect the cluster structure must be modified every time the head nodes are re-selected resulting in high energy consumption. Also, there is excessive energy consumption when a cluster head node receives identical data from adjacent cluster sources nodes. This paper proposes a solution to the problems described above from the energy efficiency perspective. The round-robin cluster header(RRCH) technique, which fixes the initially structured cluster and sequentially selects duster head nodes, is suggested for solving the energy consumption problem regarding repetitive cluster construction. Furthermore, the issue of redundant data occurring at the cluster head node is dealt with by broadcasting metadata of the initially received data to prevent reception by a sensor node with identical data. A simulation experiment was performed to verify the validity of the proposed approach. The results of the simulation experiments were compared with the performances of two of the must widely used conventional techniques, the LEACH(Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) and HEED(Hybrid, Energy Efficient Distributed Clustering) algorithms, based on energy consumption, remaining energy for each node and uniform distribution. The evaluation confirmed that in terms of energy consumption, the technique proposed in this paper was 29.3% and 21.2% more efficient than LEACH and HEED, respectively.

Overlay network eliminates the need to change the application-layer tree when the underlying network changes and enables the overlay network to survive in environments where nonmember nodes do not support multicast functionality. An overlay protocol monitors group dynamics, while underlying unicast protocols track network dynamics, resulting in more stable protocol operation and low control overhead even in a highly dynamic environment. But, if overlay multicast protocols does not know the location information of node, this makes it very difficult to build an efficient multicasting tree. So, we propose a Hierarchical Overlay Multicast Architecture (HOMA) with the location information. Because proposed architecture makes static region-based dynamic group by multicast members, it is 2-tired overlay multicasts of application layer that higher layer forms overlay multicast network between members that represent group, and support multicast between multicast members belonging to region at lower layer. This use GPS, take advantage of geographical region, and realizes a region-sensitive higher layer overlay multicast tree which is impervious to the movements of nodes. The simulation results show that our approach solves the efficiency problem effectively.

With the recent advancements in various wireless communication technologies, the importance of mobile multicasting is coming to the fore, in an effort to use network resources more efficiently. In the past, when various mobile IP-based multicast techniques were proposed, the focus was put on the costs needed for network delivery for providing multicast services, as well as on minimizing the multicast handover delay. For techniques using MIPv6 (Mobile IPv6), a host-based mobility management protocol, however, it is fundamentally difficult to resolve the problems of handover delay and tunnel convergence. To resolve these problems, a network-based mobility management protocol called PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6) was standardized. Although performance is improved in PMIPv6 over MIPv6, it still suffers from the problems of handover delay and tunnel convergence. In this paper, to overcome these limitations, a technique called LFH (Low-cost and Fast Handoff) is proposed for fast and low-cost mobility management with multicasting support in PMIPv6 networks. To reduce the interactions between the complex multicast routing protocol and the multicast messages, a simplified proxy method called MLD (Multicast Listener Discovery) is implemented and modified. Furthermore, a TCR (Tunnel Combination and Reconstruction) algorithm was used in the multicast handover procedure within the LMA (Local Mobility Anchor) domain, as well as in the multicast handover procedure between domains, in order to overcome the problem of tunnel convergence. As a result, it was found that LFH has reduced multicast delay compared to other types of multicast techniques, and that it requires lower costs as well.
Conventional methods for collecting origin-destination trips have been mainly relied on the surveys of home or roadside interview. However, the methods tend to be costly, labor intensive and time disruptive to the trip makers, thus the methods are not considered suitable for Planning applications such as routing guidance, arterial management and information Provision, as the parts of deployments in Intelligent Transport Systems Motivated by the problems, more economic ways to estimate origin-destination trip tables have been studied since the late 1970s. Some of them, which have been estimating O-D table from link traffic counts are generally Entropy maximizing, Maximum likelihood, Generalized least squares(GLS), and Bayesian inference estimation etc. In the Paper, with user equilibrium constraint we formulate GLS problem for estimating O-D trips and develop a solution a1gorithm by using Genetic Algorithm, which has been known as a g1oba1 searching technique. For the purpose of evaluating the method, we apply it to Seoul inner ringroad and compare it with gradient method proposed by Spiess(1990). From the resu1ts we fond that the method developed in the Paper is superior to other.
Last-Mile delivery optimization plays a key role in the urban supply chain operation, which is the most expensive and time-consuming and most complicated part of the whole delivery process. The urban consolidation center (UCC) is regarded as a significant asset for supporting customer demand in the last-mile delivery service. It is the key benefit of UCC to improve the load balance of vehicles and to reduce the total traveling distance by finding the better route with the well-organized multi-leg vehicle journey in the urban area. This paper presents the model using multiple scenario analysis integrated with mathematical optimization techniques using Geographic Information System (GIS). The model aims to find the best solution for the distribution network consisted of DC and UCC, which is applied to the case of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. The proposed methodology integrates two sub-models, location-allocation model and vehicle routing problem. The multiple scenarios devised by selecting locations of UCC are compared considering the general performance and delivery patterns together. It has been adopted to make better decisions the quantitative metrics such as the economic value of capital cost, operating cost, and balance of using available resources. The result of this research may help the manager or public authorities who should design the distribution network for the last mile delivery service optimization using UCC within the urban area.
Due to the improved performance and cost of personal mobile devices and rapid progress of wireless communication technology, the number of users who utilize these devices is increasing. This trend requires various types of services be available to users. So far, there have been many solutions provided for the shortest path problem. But, technologies which can offer various recommendation services to user depending on user’s current location are focused on Euclidean spaces rather than road network. Thus, in this paper, we extend the previous work to satisfy this requirement on road network database. Our proposed scheme requires pre-computation for the efficient query processing. In the preprocessing step, we first partition the input road network into a fixed number of Voronoi polygons and then pre-compute routing information for each polygon. In the meantime, we select the number of Voronoi polygons in proposition to the scale of road network. Through this selection, the required size of pre-computation is linearly increasing to the size of road network. Using this pre-computated information, we can process queries more quickly. Through experiments, we have shown that our proposed scheme can achieve excellent performance in terms of scheduling time and the number of visited nodes.
An analytical diffusion model for flood routing with backwater effects and lateral flows is developed. The basic diffusion equation is linearized about an average depth of (H + h), and is solved using the boundary conditons which take into account the effects of backwater and lateral flows. Scouring phenomenon around pier which affects on the support function of pier and the stabilization if river bed is a complex problem depending on flow properties and river bed state as well as pier geometry. therefore, there is no uniting theory at present which would enable the designer to estimate, with confidence, the depth of scour at bridge piers. The various methods used in erosion control are collectively called upstream engineering, HEC-RAS Model, underwater blasting. They consist of reforestation, check-dam construction, planting of burned-over areas, contour plowing and regulation of crop and grazing practices. Also included are measures for proper treatment of high embankments and cuts and stabilization of streambanks by planting or by revetment construction. One phase of reforestation that may be applied near a reservoir is planting of vegetation screens. Such screens, planted on the flats adjacent to the normal stream channel at the head of a reservoir, reduce the velocity of silt-laden storm inflows that inundate these areas. This stilling action causes extensive deposition to occur before the silt reaches the main cavity of the reservoir.
