충격 흡수기 피스톤의 대체 개발에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Basic Study on the Alternative Development of Piston for Shock Absorber)

  • This study is aimed at cutting down the cost, weight and improving process by replacing the traditional sintered piston of the shock absorber with engineering plastic piston by means of injection molding. To obtain the high mechanical properties, glass fiber material was selected adequately and forming analysis considering fiber orientation was made to remove the forming deficit fators and to construct the optimal runner system. In addition, structural analysis using commercial software MOLDFLOW was performed under near conditions in actual driving of automotive. The results from the internal pressure process test, oilproof test based on forming, structural and strength analysis shows that hydraulic close performance and damping force considering the out of roundness of shock absorber are relatively good.

  • The morphologies of the wear particles are directly indicative of wear process occuring in the machine. The analysis of wear particle morphology can therefore provide very early detection of a fault and can also ofen facilitate a dignosis. For this work, the neural network was applied to identify friction coefficient through four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) of wear debris generated from the machine. The averages of these parameters were used as inputs to the network. It is shown that collect identification of friction coefficient depends on the ranges of these shape parameters learned. The various kinds of the wear debris had a different pattern characteristics and recognized relation between the friction condition and materials very well by neural network. We discuss how the network determines difference in wear debris feature, and this approach can be applied for machine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.

  • Morphological analysis of wear particles in the lubricating oil is a very effective and versatile means of lubricant analysis for machine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. The prospects for determining quantitative information about wear particle morphology have been considerably enhanced by recent developments reported in the application of image processing and analysis techniques. This study was undertaken to investigate the influence of oiliness agent and extreme pressure agent on the shape of wear particles. The wear test was performed under different experimental conditions with stearic acid, dibenzyl disulfide(DBDS) and tricresol phosphate(TCP) in paraffinic base oil. Wear particles characteristics were described using four shape parameters, namely 50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity. The results showed that the four shape parameters of wear particles depend on a kind of the additives. This analysis of wear debris with computer image processing techniques is sufficient to distinguish some types of wear debris. The wear volume of three kinds of the specimens are affected by the additives with boundary films.

원통형 변위센서를 장착한 능동 공기 베어링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Actively Controlled Aerostatic Journal Bearing using Cylindrical Capacitance Displacement Sensor)

  • In this paper, an actively controlled aerostatic bearing is studied to overcome the defects of air bearing such as low stiffness and damping coefficients. The actively controlled aerostatic bearing is composed of aerostatic bearings, non-contact type of displacement sensors, piezoelectric actuators and controllers. The cylindrical capacitance sensor (CCS) is used as the displacement sensor. The reason for using CCS instead of the commercial gap sensor is that it can give us the pure error motion of the spindle because it removes the roundness error or the geometric errors in the spindle. The controller is designed by the state space equation and quadratic optimal control theory. The characteristic data of the actively controlled aerostatic bearing system in the frequency domain are presented and the stiffness and damping coefficients of the bearing are mentioned. This paper shows the possibility to reduce the motion error up to 6000 rpm.

컴퓨터 시각을 이용한 계란 표면의 결함 검출 (Detection of Surface Defects in Eggs Using Computer Vision)

  • A computer vision system was built to generate images of a stationary egg. This system includes a. CCD camera, a frame grabber, and an incandescent back lighting system An image processing algorithm was developed to accurately detect surface holes and surface cracks on eggs. With 20W of incandescent back light, the detection rate was shown to be the highest. The Sobel operator was found to be the best among various enhancing filters examined. The threshold value to distinguish between the crack and the translucent spots was found to be linear with the average gray level of a whole egg image. Those values of both gray level and area were used as criteria to detect holes in egg and those values of both area and roundness were used to detect cracks in egg. For a sample of 300 eggs, this system was able to correctly analyze an egg for the presence of a defect 97.5% of the time. On the average, it took 59.5 seconds to analyze an egg image and determine whether or not it was defected.

Efficient Superpixel Generation Method Based on Image Complexity

  • Superpixel methods are widely used in the preprocessing stage as a method to reduce computational complexity by simplifying images while maintaining the characteristics of the images in the computer vision applications. It is common to generate superpixels of similar size and shape based on the pixel values rather than considering the characteristics of the image. In this paper, we propose a method to control the sizes and shapes of generated superpixels, considering the contents of an image. The proposed method consists of two steps. The first step is to over-segment an image so that the boundary information of the image is well preserved. In the second step, generated superpixels are merged based on similarity to produce the target number of superpixels, where the shapes of superpixels are controlled by limiting the maximum size and the proposed roundness metric. Experimental results show that the proposed method preserves the boundaries of the objects in an image more accurately than the existing method.

  • 본 논문은 KOMPSAT-2호 및 3호의 화상활용 일환으로 임반 단위의 임상정보 추출에 관한 시범연구이다. QuickBird 화상을 통해 획득한 결과를 요약하면, 첫째로 회색단계공발생 행렬(GLCM)에 기초한 질감(texture)매개변수 화상은 소나무림과 잣나무림의 임상판별을 가능하게 만든다. 단, 동령림 조건과 사면 방위에 무관한 상태의 추가연구가 요구된다. 둘째로 Matlab의 분수계(watershed)산법에 기초한 분할화상에서 소나물김과 잣나무림의 수관투명 면적 대소를 파악할 수 있다. 역시 동령림 조건하의 보충 연구가 필요하다. 셋째로 형태배율과 진원도(roundness)에 기초한 소나무림과 잣나무림의 구별에서 진원도에서는 차이의 유의성이 없고, 형태배율에서는 수관둘레의 불규칙에 의해 유의성있게 구분된다. 본 연구의 임상정보 추출기법은 정밀임업의 정량정보 제공에 기여할 것이다.

The four parameter(50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) of wear debris are used as inputs to the network and learned the friction coefficient. It is shown that identification results depend on the ranges of these shape parameter learned. The three kinds of the wear debris had a different pattern characteristic and recognized the friction condition and materials very well by neural network. We dicuss between the characteristic of wear debris and the friction coefficient and how the network determines difference in wear debris feature.

The four parameter(50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflec- tivity) of wear debris are used as inputs to the network and learned the friction condition of five values (material 3, applied load 1, sliding distance 1). It is shown that identification results depend on the ranges of these shape parameter learned. The three kinds of the wear debris had a different pattern characteristic and recognized the friction condition and materials very well by neural network.

윤활유 첨가제에 따른 마멸분 화상해석

  • This paper was undertaken to do shape analysis of wear debris on oiliness agent and extreme pressure agent. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the wear test device was made in our laboratory and were- specimens of the pin on disk type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil by materials, varying applied load, sliding distance, oil additives such as stearine acid, DBDS, TCP. The four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) on a kind of the additives are different on applied load and sliding distance and Its are affected by absorbed film and reaction film. DBDS and TCP have a role of extreme pressure agent but a role of absorbed film of stearic acid decrease in high load. The maximum wear volume on applied load be in existence in three kinds of the specimens because of reaction characteristics of the additives.
