Copy-move Forgery Detection Robust to Various Transformation and Degradation Attacks

  • Trying to deal with the problem of low robustness of Copy-Move Forgery Detection (CMFD) under various transformation and degradation attacks, a novel CMFD method is proposed in this paper. The main advantages of proposed work include: (1) Discrete Analytical Fourier-Mellin Transform (DAFMT) and Locality Sensitive Hashing (LSH) are combined to extract the block features and detect the potential copy-move pairs; (2) The Euclidian distance is incorporated in the pixel variance to filter out the false potential copy-move pairs in the post-verification step. In addition to extracting the effective features of an image block, the DAMFT has the properties of rotation and scale invariance. Unlike the traditional lexicographic sorting method, LSH is robust to the degradations of Gaussian noise and JEPG compression. Because most of the false copy-move pairs locate closely to each other in the spatial domain or are in the homogeneous regions, the Euclidian distance and pixel variance are employed in the post-verification step. After evaluating the proposed method by the precision-recall-$F_1$ model quantitatively based on the Image Manipulation Dataset (IMD) and Copy-Move Hard Dataset (CMHD), our method outperforms Emam et al.'s and Li et al.'s works in the recall and $F_1$ aspects.

내리막 달리기의 충격 쇼크와 신체 관절의 운동학적 특징 (Impact shock and kinematic characteristics of the lower extremity's joint during downhill running)

  • The purpose of this study was to characterize the impact shock wave and its attenuation, and the kinematic response of the lower extremity's joints to the impact shock during downhill running in which the lower extremity's extensor acts dominantly. For this study, fifteen subjects(mean age:$27.08{\pm}4.39$; mass:$76.30{\pm}6.60$; height:$177.25{\pm}4.11$) were required to run on the 0% grade treadmill and downhill grades of 7%, and 15% in random at speed of their preference. When the participant run, acceleration at the tibia and the sacrum and kinematic data of the lower extremity were collected for 20s so as to provide at least 5 strides for analysis at each grade. Peak impact accelerations were used to calculate shock attenuation between the tibia and sacrum in time domain at each grade. Fast Fourier transformation(FFT) and power spectral density(PSD) techniques were used to analyze impact shock factors and its attenuation in the frequency domain. Joint coordinate system technique was used to compute angular displacement of the ankle and knee joint in three dimension. The conclusions were drawn as fellows: 1. Peak impact accelerations of the tibia and sacrum in downhill run were greater than that of 0% grade run, but no significant between conditions. Peak shock of PSD resembled also in pattern of peak impact acceleration. The wave of impact shock attenuation between the tibia and sacrum decreased with increasing grade, but didn't find a significant difference between grade conditions. 2. Adduction/abduction, flexion/extention, and internal/external rotation of the ankle and knee joints at support phase between grade conditions didn't make much difference. 3. At grade of 7% and 15%, there were relationship between the knee of the flexion/extension movement and peak impact acceleration during heel strike and found also it in the ankle of plantar/dorsiflexion at grade of 15%.

초등학교 6학년 학생들의 공간감각과 공간추론능력 실태조사 (An Investigation on $6^{th}$ Grade Students' Spatial Sense and Spatial Reasoning)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 공간감각과 공간추론능력의 실태를 조사하였다. 공간감각 측면에서는 전반적으로 학생들의 공간 시각화 능력이 공간 방향화 능력보다 우수하였는데, 각각의 하위 요소를 분석한 결과 변환능력이 회전능력보다, 방향감각과 물체의 구조인식능력이 위치감각보다 상대적으로 우수하였다. 공간추론능력 측면에서는 학생들이 문제를 해결할 때 다양한 공간추론능력을 사용하는 것으로 드러났는데, 특히 변환의 인식과 사용, 분석과 종합, 시각화 방법의 개발과 적용을 많이 사용하였다. 본 논문은 학생들의 공간감각 및 공간추론능력 사용형태를 상세히 분석함으로써 이와 관련한 교수 학습 과정에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

분극된 <001> 방위 Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 단결정의 유전 특성 및 상전이 (Dielectric Properties and Phase Transformation of Poled <001>-Oriented Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 Single Crystals)

  • The dielectric properties and phase transformation of poled <001>-oriented $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-x%PbTiO_3$(PMN-x%PT) single crystals with compositions of x = 20, 30, and 35 mole% are investigated for orientations both parallel and perpendicular to the [001] poling direction. An electric-field-induced monoclinic phase was observed for the initial poled PMN-30PT and PMN-35PT samples by means of high-resolution synchrotron x-ray diffraction. The monoclinic phase appears from $-25^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$ and from $-25^{\circ}C$ to $80^{\circ}C$ for the PMN-30PT and PMN-35PT samples, respectively. The dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}$)-temperature (T) characteristics above the Curie temperature were found to be described by the equation$(1/{\varepsilon}-1/{\varepsilon}_m)^{1/n}=(T-T_m)/C$, where ${\varepsilon}_m$ is the maximum dielectric constant and $T_m$ is the temperature giving ${\varepsilon}_m$, and n and C are constants that change with the composition. The value of n was found to be 1.82 and 1.38 for 20PT and 35PT, respectively. The results of mesh scans and the temperature-dependence of the dielectric constant demonstrate that the initial monoclinic phase changes to a single domain tetragonal phase and a to paraelectric cubic phase. In the ferroelectric tetragonal phase with a single domain state, the dielectric constant measured perpendicular to the poling direction was dramatically higher than that measured in the parallel direction. A large dielectric constant implies easier polarization rotation away from the polar axis. This enhancement is believed to be related to dielectric softening close to the morphotropic phase boundary.

  • The structure and dielectric properties of poled <001>-oriented 0.7Pb($Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-0.3PbTiO_3$ (PMN-0.3PT) crystals have been investigated for orientations both parallel and perpendicular to the [001] poling direction. An electric field induced monoclinic phase was observed for the initial poled sample. The phase remained stable after the field was removed. A quite different temperature dependence of dielectric constant has been observed between heating and cooling due to an irreversible phase transformation. The results of mesh scans and temperature dependence of the dielectric constant demonstrate that the initial monoclinic phase changes to a single domain tetragonal phase at 370K and to a paraelectric cubic phase at 405K upon heating. However, upon subsequent cooling from the unpoled state, the cubic phase changes to a poly domain tetragonal phase and to a rhombohedral phase. In the ferroelectric tetragonal phase with a single domain state, the dielectric constant measured perpendicular to the poling direction was dramatically higher than that of the parallel direction. A large dielectric constant implies easier polarization rotation away from the polar axis. This enhancement is believed to be related to dielectric softening close to the morphotropic phase boundary and at the phase transition temperature.

Content-based Image Retrieval Using Texture Features Extracted from Local Energy and Local Correlation of Gabor Transformed Images

  • In this paper, a texture feature extraction method using local energy and local correlation of Gabor transformed images is proposed and applied to an image retrieval system. The Gabor wavelet is known to be similar to the response of the human visual system. The outputs of the Gabor transformation are robust to variants of object size and illumination. Due to such advantages, it has been actively studied in various fields such as image retrieval, classification, analysis, etc. In this paper, in order to fully exploit the superior aspects of Gabor wavelet, local energy and local correlation features are extracted from Gabor transformed images and then applied to an image retrieval system. Some experiments are conducted to compare the performance of the proposed method with those of the conventional Gabor method and the popular rotation-invariant uniform local binary pattern (RULBP) method in terms of precision vs recall. The Mahalanobis distance is used to measure the similarity between a query image and a database (DB) image. Experimental results for Corel DB and VisTex DB show that the proposed method is superior to the conventional Gabor method. The proposed method also yields precision and recall 6.58% and 3.66% higher on average in Corel DB, respectively, and 4.87% and 3.37% higher on average in VisTex DB, respectively, than the popular RULBP method.

  • 카메라의 시선 방향에 따라 다른 영상을 생성하는 3차원 물체를 2차원 영상만으로 인식하는 것은 어려운 일이다. 특히 영상 생성 시 강한 투영변환(perspective transformation) 이 발생할 경우 투영된 물체의 이미지에 대한 국소 특징을 정의하는 SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform) 알고리즘은 물체 인식에 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 물체를 하나의 특정 축을 중심으로 회전시키면서 얻은 복수의 영상을 학습 데이터로 활용한 물체인식 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 이용하여 복수 영상의 특징 점들을 하나의 특징 공간으로 합성하고 영상들 간의 기하학적인 관계를 이용하여 중복된 영역을 제거한 모델을 생성하면 임의의 3차원 회전이 적용된 물체를 인식할 수 있다. 실험에서는 알고리즘의 유용성을 먼저 확인하기 위해 조명조건과 카메라의 위치를 일정하게 유지하였다. 이 방법에 의해 SIFT 알고리즘만으로 인식이 힘들었던 3차원 물체의 다양한 외관(appearance) 인식이 가능하게 되었다.

自動自差修正이 가능한 電子컴퍼스의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the Electronic compass for Automatic Correction do Deviation)

  • 本 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스는 3軸磁氣센서와 傾斜角센서, 그리고 光자이로센서로 構成하였으며, 이들 각 센서의 出力特性과 性能 및 自差補正의 精度를 확인한 結果는 다음과 같다. 1) 3軸 磁氣센서의 出力特性은, X軸에서 측정된 磁界는 cos커브, Y軸에서는 -sin 커브, 그리고 Z軸에서는 그 값이 일정하게 나타나고 있어서 3軸 磁氣센서로서의 기능이 충분하다고 사료되며, 이때 出力電壓으로부터 算出된 地磁氣의 水平成分 H와 垂直成分 V는 각각 H=33.2${\mu}$T, V=23.95${\mu}$T였다. 2)光자이로 센서를 電動回轉台에 고정시키고, 시계방향으로 10$^{\circ}$/sec, 20$^{\circ}$/sec, 30$^{\circ}$/sec의 속도로 회전시켰을 때, 光자이로센서의 出力과 回轉角度와의 관계는 모두 일정한 값으로 비례함을 알 수 있다. 3) 補正前 自差는 磁界에 의해 誘導되고 있기 때문에, 최대 -25$^{\circ}$까지 크게 나타나고 있으나, 포와숀 補正法을 이용한 補正後의 자差는 ${\pm}2^{\circ}$ 범위 이내로 補正前에 비하여 自差가 현저히 작게 나타나고 있어서, 이번 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스로 自動自差修正이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

랜드마크 (Landmark)를 이용한 방사선 치료 X선 시뮬레이터 영상과 포탈영상의 비교법 연구 (A Study of the Registration of Simulator Images and Portal Images Using Landmarks in Radiation Treatment)

  • 방사선 치료목표는 정해진 방사선량을 병변부위에 정확하게 조사시키고 주위 정상조직에는 방사선이 조사되지 알도록 하는 것이다. 이때에 조사야 배치, 차폐체 배치의 부정확성, 환자의 움직임 등으로 병변부위와 치료부위 사이에서 변위오차가 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 방사선 치료 위치의 확인을 위한 방법으로서 랜드마크를 이용하여 포탈영상과 x선 시뮬레이터 영상을 비교하는 알고리즘을 개발하여 방사선 치료 시 발생하는 부정확도를 이동, 스케일, 회전 정도로 나타내어 정량적으로 확인하였다. 등록 알고리즘은 랜드마크 정합 후 필드 경계 정합에 의해 두 영상의 변위오차를 분석하는 순서로 구현된다. 우선 각 영상의 두개의 랜드마크를 이은 대응선분들을 이용하여 변환변수 (이동, 스케일, 회전)를 구하여 랜드마크를 정합하였다. 다음으로 포탈영상의 필드경계를 추출한 후 $\rho$-$\theta$ technique을 적용하여 두 필드의 변위오차를 계산하였다. 팬톰 포탈영상에 적용하여 이동에서 2mm 이내, 회전에서 1$^{\circ}$ 이내, 스케일에서 1% 이내의 오차를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 방사선 치료 시 시뮬레이터 영상과 포탈영상을 정량적으로 분석함으로서, 환자 치료의 정확도 확인 연구에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Flexure Analysis of Inertial Navigation Systems

  • Ring Laser Gyroscopes used as navigational sensors inherently experience a lock-in region, where very low rotational rates are not measurable. Most RLG manufacturers use a mechanical dither motor that applies a small oscillatory rotational motion larger than this region to resolve this problem. Any input acceleration that bends this dithering axis causes flexure error, which is a noncommutative error that can not be compensated by simply using integrated gyro sensor output. This paper introduces noncommutative error equations that define attitude errors caused by flexure errors. In this paper, flexure error is classified as sensor level error if the sensing axis coincides with the dithering axis and as system level error if the two axes do not coincide. The relationship between gyro output and the rotation vector is introduced and is used to define the coordinate transformation matrix and angular motion. Equations are derived for both sensor level and system level flexure error analysis. These equations show that RLG based INS attitude error caused by flexure is directly proportional to time, amount of input acceleration and the dynamic frequency of the vehicle.
