임계각속도 주변에서의 회전 외팔보의 동역학 (Dynamics of a Rotating Cantilever Beam Near Its Critical Angular Speed)

  • Dynamics of a rotating cantilever beam near its critical angular speed is investigated in this paper. The external, force is idealized as a periodic function which has the same period as the rotati ng frequency of the beam. The equations of motion are derived and transformed into a dimensionless form. A prescribed spin-up motion is employed for the rotating motion. Numerical study shows that the steady state and the transient responses of the beam are affected by the spin-up time constant and there exists a time constant at which the maximum transient response becomes minimum.

고속회전용 터보냉동기의 회전체 동역학 해석 (Rotor Dynamic Analysis of the High Speed Centrifugal Chiller)

  • 증속기어장치를 이용한 고속회전 터보냉동기 시스템에 대한 회전체 동역학 설계 및 해석을 수행하였다. 특히 피동축의 회전수가 17,605 rpm가지 상승하여 회전체 안정성에 문제가 될 것으로 예측하여 특수베어링의 일종인 Offset베어링을 적용하였고, 구동축의 베어링은 단순베어링인 진원형 베어링을 적용하였다. 모드해석결과 회전체 시스템의 고유진동수가 어떠한 가진성분과 교차하지 않는 것이 확인 되었고, 전 운전영역에 걸쳐 감쇠값이 양의 값을 갖는 것을 알 수 있었으며 설계된 회전체 시스템이 정격운전 상태에서 충분한 안정성을 갖고 작동할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

LiF 단결정 성장에서 고체-액체의 계면형상 (Solid-liquid Interface Shape in LiF Single Crystal Growth)

  • To study interface between crystals grown and molten state in the crusible. Pulling and rotating rate of the shaft were varied in LiF crystal growth by Czochralski method. Lower speed of the pulling and rotating rate increased the degree of convexity in solid-liquid interface and higher speed of the pulling and rotating rate decreased it. Optimum condition of LiF crystal growth obtained as pulling rate was 6.5cm/h when it rotated as 46rpm.

  • Recently rotating machines have became high speed and high Power and light weight. Bearings are one of the main components which influence power loss and stability of rotating machines. Appropriate bearing should be selected with considering characteristics of rotating machine. Floating ring journal bearing(FIB) consists of an inner film and outer film, and possess high damping and stability.   • In this paper the effect of bump compliance, load, and the number of pad on the lift-off speed is studied. When the load is greater and bump compliance lower, the shaft is lifted off at higher rotating speed. And when the load is applied near the center of pad, lift-off speed is lower. When the number of pad increases, the lift-off speed is higher. The lift-off characteristics can be used to lengthen the life time of the coating and design the rotating machinery supported by bump bearings.

  • The vaneless diffusers are widely used in industrial centrifugal compressors which are required to operate within a wide flow range. When very high pressure gases are handled by centrifugal compressor. rotating stall is a serious problem because of the occurance of large aerodynamic exciting forces. Rotating stall mostly often occurs in the impellers but it can occur in vaneless diffusers as well. In this experimental study, the rotating stall in vaneless diffuser with radial type centrifugal impeller was measured by changing the flow rate with I-type, X-type hotwire. As the result, it was cleared which type of rotating stall of the impeller stall would occur and how many stall cells would appear relating with the flow rate. As the flow rate reduced, the propagation speed of rotating stall was reduced. But the stall cell number unchanged with respect to the flow rate.

  • In this method the condenser excite winding has the phase angle of 90 electrical degree, with the load winding in stator. The condenser excite wing is connected with the condenser while the load winding is with the full rectifer. Direct and quardrature axis components of rotating field winding are composed, of balanced two phase winding, and each one of them is connected with half wave rectifiers. Initically, small amount of lead current can be induced at the condenser excite winding by residual magnetism of rotor. The induced lead current forces the rotating field winding to be excited by synchronous alternating magnetic field. The speed electromotive force, there for, induced in rotating field winding shall electro magnetize the rotating field pole by rotating half wave rectifiers. In the case of the charging generator directly coupled with engines at the operation of wide range speed, the generated region, such as vehicles, aircraft, ships etc, is occured. In conclusion, we can take the advantage of, omitting of voltage regurator and current limiter for charging load and reducing the consumption of fuel using the generated region which can be devided in to Impossible generated region, Generated region, and suspension generated region.

회전연료 분사시스템의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of the Rotating Fuel Injection System)

  • The spray characteristics of the rotating fuel injection system were investigated. The special test rig was devised to get the spatial and momentary droplet information. This experimental apparatus consists of a high-speed motor, a shaft, a rotating fuel nozzle and an acrylic case. Spray droplet size and velocity were measured by PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and instantaneous velocity field was measured by 1'IV (Particle Image Velocimetry) system. At the same time, spray visualization was performed by using ND-YAG laser-based flash photography. From these two different laser diagnostic techniques, we could get spatial and instantaneous spray information fur rotating fuel injection system. The results presented in this paper indicate that spray characteristics such as droplet size, velocity and spray pattern were strongly influenced by rotational speed.

가변속 왕복동형 압축기 크랭크축-베어링계의 동적 거동 해석 (Dynamic Behavior Analysis of a Crankshaft-Bearing System in Variable Speed Reciprocating Compressor)

  • The hermetic reciprocating compressor driven by the BLDC motor rotating with variable speeds, is modelled and analyzed for dynamic characteristics. The governing equations of piston, connecting rod and crank-shaft of the reciprocating compression mechanism and characteristics of driving torque of the motor are obtained. Dynamic behavior of the crankshaft supported on 2 journal bearings is analyzed considering compression load and eccentric unbalance for the 4 rotating speeds of crankshaft. And. reaction forces generated from oil film in the journal bearings are analyzed under transient condition using Reynolds' equation. To take into account the dynamic characteristics depending on the variable rotating speeds, comparison on the dynamic behavior of crank-shaft is made for the 4 operating modes of the compressor. Results show that the magnitude of crankshaft locioperating on the lower rotating speeds is more larger than the higher ones due to reduction of inertia force of the reciprocating piston.

  • Now a days, the induction motor is widely used in industry automation. Without monitoring the motor fault, maintenance cost is increased undesirably high. The slip frequency is included in the feature frequency, so rotating rotor speed is needed. In this paper, a sensorless motor speed estimation method, rotor slot harmonic(RSH) method is suggested and a solution of rotor bar diagnosis is proposed for motor running with light-load. When the rotor is rotating, it shows the harmonic signal of back-emf voltage related with number of rotor slot. So from the power spectrum of current signal, we can find the rotor speed.
