동력경운기를 중심으로한 맥류재배의 기계화 -관작업체계 확립에 관한 연구 (Study on the Establishment of Barley Cultivation System using the Power Tiller)

  • To maintain the self-sufficiency of food production , it is required to improved the productivity and increase the effective utilization of land in the double cropping areas using improved cultivation technology. The following reasons encourage this cours of action because the overlapping rice harvest and barely seeding seasons complete for labour, the lower price of barley makes it financially less attractive to grow and these two facts together are responsible for a decrease in barley being planted in certain more seasonably marginal double cropping areas. Fro these reasons, it is desirable to carry out tests to improve the current cultivation techniques . In this interest , the following studies were carried out in the experimental field located at Banweol-myeon, Whasung-jkun, Gyeonggi-do from October 1977 to July 1978 in order to establish the mechanical method of barley cultivation using the power tiller. The summarized results are as follows. 1. The work performance in the seeding operation using the rotary barley seeder was 68 minutes per 10 ares which compares favourably with 408 min/10a using the conventional method. This is only one sixth of the time required by th conventional method. The operating costs using the rotary barley seeder was 1, 463 won per 10 areas as against 3, 486 Won per 10 ares for the conventional method, showing a saving of about 50% in comparison with the conventional method. 2. In the manure spreading operation, the work performance was 25 min/10a for the manure spreading machine , compared to 1089 min/10a for the manual operations. This is about one fourth of the time required by the conventional method, The operating costs were 810 Won/10a for the machine and 857 Won/10a for the manual labour. This cost shows little advantage by the machine over the manual labor costs. The conventional method of manure spreading will continue pending decision which will develope and improve the machine.3. Work performance in the rolling operation using the barley rolIer was 30 min/lOa which compares favourably with 135 min/10a using conventional method. This was one fourth of the time required by the conventional method. The operating costs were 514 Won/103. for the machine and 1, 003 Won/lOa for manual labour. In the weed control operation, the work performance and operating costs were 45min/lOa, 1, 399won/10a for the herbcide application using the power sprayer, 1, 149min/10a 8, 541won/lOa for the conventional method respectively. This is 26 times higher efficiency in comparison to the conventional method. 4. In the harvesting operation using the reaper binder and tiller attachment, the work performance was 60min/lOa and represents a cost of 2, 039won/10a. The con\ulcornerventional method took 640min/10a at a cost of 4, 757won/lOa. The reaper binder showns a saving of one tenth over the conventional method. The automatic thresher is already recommended for the current situations, and is now being used. 5. From a comparison of the results of the above trials, the serial cultivation system using the attachment for the power tiller such as the rotary barley seeder is now to be recommended for the current barley cultivation system. It is also recommend from these results that the mechanized technology now available must be used to improve and maintain the increase in barley production. It is seen th1t this is the only course now avaihble to solve the peak seasonal requirements of labour needed for l11rvesting and seeding between rice and barley cultivation.

논의 경운방법이 년차간 벼수량과 토양특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Tillage Methods of Paddy Field on Yearly Changes of Rice Yield and Soil Properties)

  • 논토양에서 경운방법과 시비수준을 달리하여 화성벼를 5년간 동일포장에서 재배했을 때 벼수량과 토양특성 변화를 조사분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 기종별 경운효율은 경운기 로타리구가 74.8%로서 제일 높고 트랙타 경운구가 59.0%로서 가장 낮았다. 2. 벼 이앙후 무경운구의 감수심이 가장 많았으며 벼 생육중기보다는 생육초기에서 많았다. 3. 벼 수량은 무경운 관행시비에 비해 경운기 로타리 농토배양시비구가 가장 많은 17%가 증수되었고 경운처리를 하므로서 벼수량은 6∼17% 증수되었다. 연차간에는 2연차에서 수량이 가장 많았고 4년차에서 가장 낮았다. 4. 경운하지 않은 무경운구의 용적밀도와 고상률이 가장 높았으며 토양의 화학성 변화는 처리간에 일정한 경향이 없었다.

정밀 파종 벼 건답직파기 개발 (Development of a Precision Seeder for Direct Seeding of Rice on Dry Paddy)

  • In order to save labor and cost, direct seeding has been considered as an important alternative to the machine transplanting in rice cultivation. Current direct seeding machines for rice in Korea drill irregularly under various operating conditions. This study was conducted to develope a precision seeder which enables the accurate, even-spaced in row placement of rice seeds at uniform depths of 3-4 cm on dry paddy. Design, construction and performance evaluation of the precision seeder were carried out. The tractor rear-mounted type 8-rows precision seeder which performs seeding in addition to fertilizing, ditching, and rotary tilling works on dry paddy was developed. Main components of the seeder were ditcher and leveller, rotary tiller, powered roller type furrow opener, seeding device, powered roller type furrow covering and firming device, hydraulic unit, seeding speed control system, power transmission system, hitch and frame. Ditching, furrow opening, and seed covering and firming performances were good and seeding depths of 2-4 cm could be maintained. Planting accuracies and planting precisions were within 13.6%, and 31.2%, respectively, for planting space of 15 cm, and seeding velocity of 0.5 m/s. These mean variations of average planting space were within 2.1 cm, and 90% of seeds in a hill were seeded within 4.7 cm of hill length, respectively. Error ratios between setting planting space and measured average planting space were shown within 6.7%. Therefore the seeder showed good planting performance up to seeding velocity of 0.5 m/s in field tests. And field capacity of the seeder was about 0.28 ha/hour.

이산요소법을 활용한 경심이 로타리 작업기의 경운날 축 부하에 미치는 영향 분석 (Effect Analysis of Tillage Depth on Rotavator Shaft Load Using the Discrete Element Method)

  • This study utilized a discrete element method (DEM) simulation, as one of the virtual field trials, to predict the impact of tillage depth on the rotary blade shaft during rotavator tilling. The virtual field for the simulation was generated according to soil properties observed in an actual field. Following the generation of particles for the virtual field, a sequence of calibration steps followed to align the mechanical properties more closely with those of real soil. Calibration was conducted with a focus on bulk density and shear torque, resulting in calibration errors of just 0.02% for bulk density and 0.52% for shear torque. The prediction of the load on a rotary tiller's blade shaft involved a three-pronged approach, considering shaft torque, draft force, and vertical force. In terms of shaft torque, the values exhibited significant increases of 42.34% and 36.91% for every 5-centimeter increment in tillage depth. Similarly, the vertical force saw substantial growth by 40.41% and 36.08% for every 5-centimeter increment. In contrast, the variation in draft force based on tillage depth was comparatively lower at 18.49% and 0.96%, indicating that the effect of tillage depth on draft force was less pronounced than its impact on shaft torque and vertical force. From a perspective of agricultural machinery research, this study provides valuable insights into the DEM soil modeling process, accounting for changes in soil properties with varying tillage depths. These findings are expected to be instrumental in future agricultural machinery design studies.

경운기 부착형 점파식 마늘파종기 개발 (Development of a Garlic Clove Planter Attached to Power Tiller)

  • The garlic, along with the red pepper, is one of the major seasoning vegetables in Korea. Garlic clove planting is one of the most laborious operations. Labor cost is the main source of high production cost of the garlic. Because of the geometrical uniqueness and irregularity of garlic cloves, mechanization of garlic clove planting is very difficult. To overcome price competition against the imported garlic, however, there has been a need of development of a clove metering device and a planting device for the garlic clove planter. Computer simulation, laboratory tests and field tests were conducted to develop a garlic clove planter. This research was conducted to drop garlic cloves into a soil holes through a drum bucket metering system and a rotary type planting system. Followings are the major achievements from this study. 1. The metering device consisted of a drum, a guide, a bucket and a bucket cover. Opening positions of the metering hopper were evaluated at different positions and trajectories of planting hoppers. The simulation showed that the optimum positions of hopper was -15${\sim}$0 mm in the x direction. 2. When the planter was tested under different soil textures and water contents, the best performances were obtained in a upland field with 29.1% water content and a paddy field with 18.3% water content where single clove metering and missing rate were 88.4% and 1.3%, and 90.7% and 2.0%, respectively.

농업기계 수리시 안전사고 실태분석 (Survey on the Safety Accidents During the Repairing of Agricultural Machinery)

  • 농기계를 수리할 때 발생하는 안전사고와 대책에 관한 기초 자료를 얻기 위하여 제주도를 제외한 8개도 3개시의 289명의 정비사와 128개 정비업소를 대상으로 설문 및 청취 조사하여 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 농기계 수리시 사고율은 68.9%로 나타났고 기종별로는 경운기와 트랙터, 콤바인의 3 개 기종에서 84.8%의 사고율로 가장 높았다. 월별 사고 분포율은 농기계 이용이 많은 4~5월과 9~10월에 피크를 나타내었으며, 하루 중 시간대별 사고 분포율은 오전 10~11 시대와 오후 2~3시대에 높게 나타났다. 2. 사고 유형은 기계에 끼이거나 물림이 36.6%로 가장 높게 나타났고 사고 발생 장소는 수리 센터의 실내와 마당에서 60.4%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 사고 원인별 사고율은 인적 요인이 34.4%, 기계적 요인이 26.2%, 환경적 요인이 24.9%, 기타 외적 요인이 14.5%로 나타났다. 3. 사고 피해는 인적 피해가 98.4%, 물적 피해가 43.6%로 나타났다. 사고에 대비하여 보험이나 공제에 가입한 사람은 40.2%에 불과하였고, 추후 보험이나 공제에 가입할 의사가 없다는 사람이 22.5%나 되는 것으로 보아 앞으로 안전사고에 대비하는 새로운 인식 전환이 필요하다고 생각된다. 4. 인적사고의 상해 부위는 손가락, 손, 손목, 팔의 부위가 58.4%이었으며, 상처형태는 타박상, 찔림(찍힘), 찰과상이 74.7%를 차지하였다. 상해를 입힌 기계 부위는 동력 전달 벨트나 체인부, 예리한 칼날부, 협소한 기계 부위, 로터리 경운날 등으로 나타났다. 5. 인적 사고 상해자 1인당 평균 치료일수는 15.5일으로 나타났으며 1인당 치료비는 평균 189,200원이었고 사고로 인하여 정상 업무를 못한 일수는 1인당 평균 12.8일이었고, 정상 업무를 못한 경제적 피해액은 평균 469,300원이었다.
