  • The newly revised mathematics curriculum in 2009 mentioned the mathematics specified classroom. All schools in the secondary school will implement Mathmatics Subject Class System by 2014. Expecing to extend the mathematics specified classroom to the elementary school, this study explores the direction how to configurate and use it. On the ground of previous research on mathematics laboratory and mathematics subject class system, this study makes questionnaire and survey recognition and opinions about mathematics room in the elementary school with elementary school teachers. Based on the result of analysis of questionnaire, this study suggests math cultural experience room, room for mathematical recreation, mathematics specified classroom as the main functions of elementary mathematics room, and utilization of mathematics room to perform such functions. This study provides suggestions about elementary mathematics room differentiated from mathematics subject class system in the secondary school.

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the interior environment, teaching equipments and tools, practical usages and related problems of the Home Economics practice room as a special room of Home Economics in middle school. The data were collected with questionnaire through a mail from 150 teachers charged in the Technology $\cdot$ Home Economics of the middle schools in the Gyeonggi Province and Incheon Metropolitan City. There were Home Economics practice rooms in the most of the middle schools. The room was used for the Home Economics class as well as for many other activities. which sometimes disturbed the class in the room. The frequency of the usage of the room was relatively low and limited mostly to the cooking class and somewhat sewing class because of the lack of environmental equipment and facilities such as heating, cooling. ventilating systems and furnishings such as table. chair as well as teaching materials. etc. Teachers wanted to use the room for all units of the Home Economics class applied to various teaching methods in the room. The improvement of the interior environments and teaching materials could facilitate the variety of the class in the Home Economic practice room.

  • This study, that is made by an on-the-spot survey and a library survey, is aimed at finding some problems in the recognition regarding public library users and suggesting the clue to solve the problems revealed in the way of having compared with 'Book-Room' and Public Library. Poor material was always a troublemaker in this study. Especially the part of 'Book-Room' phenomenon is wholly dependent upon a field survey, that is, interview with a 'book-room' clerks, gathering the advertising leaflets, a close observation on 'Book-Room', etc. There are little printed materials, much less precedent research theses. In the other parts of this paper, there are needed good statistical materials, but the nortion presented in the public library user statistics-for example pupil, students, housewives, old men, the generality of people, etc.- is so vague that it is insufficient and unhelpful for this study. In my judgment, with all these limitations, this article gets some results as follows : 1. 'Book-Room' is the cultural organization which is being operated by, for, of the community inhabitants and it takes on the character of movement - labor movement, cultural movement, and community movement. 2. The pioneer of the Book-Room is 'Yangso Hyupdong chohap' (which means good book- cooperative association) lasted from 1978 to the next year. 3. 'Arom'(means learning) Book-Room is the first real Book-Room at Seomyon district in Pusan established in 1987. 4. Book-Room can be classified by its character as 'Labor BookRoom' and 'Cultural Book-Room'. There are 10 Labor BookRooms and 4 Cultural Book-Rooms in Pusan. 5. Labor Book-Rooms organized themselves to 'Labor Book-Room conference'. 6. Book-Rooms have done their best to extort the needs and interests of the community inhabitants, but relatively public libraries do not, hence the majority of residents are neglected from the public library service. This is at Book-Rooms' back to have been spread so quickly. 7. There is a very large gap between the component ratio of community inhabitants by class and that of public library users by same criterion, that is, in the case of the former, the labor class goes beyond a half point, in the latter, the majority of public library user is composed of students and housewives. 8. Researchers and librarians have concentrated their attention and effort not upon whole residents in community but upon existing users at present time. They do not try to develope potential users. So, researchers' and librarians' recognition regarding the public library users needs to be changed. 9. The concept of 'core-user' may be the key to solve the problems related with public library users. For the purpose of ensuring the 'core-user', it is necessary to study the community and inhabitants.

  • This study has been designed to explore the preferences of interior space for those living in apartment housing. It also examines the relationships between preferences of interior space, such as storage space, organization type of LDK(the living room, the dining room, and kitchen), space facing south, an interior garden, the concept of each room and the characteristics of the consumers, such as age, educational background employment status of homemakers, occupation of the primary income provider, family-life cycle, total household income, the size of floor space, and homeownership. In conclusion, this study suggests that at the time of designing apartment housing units, serious consideration should be given to the built-in closets or storage space in the anbang and to the location of a child's room facing to the south of the dwelling, especially for the families with a child attending primary school or younger and higher education level of homemaker. This study also recommends that the organization of the living room, the dining room, and the kitchen should be varied according to the housing size and the age of homemaker.

  • Around campus, one-room type multi-family houses have been built for more than any other types of one-room type dwelling units. However, these houses are built in a very small scale and have insufficient facilities due to the limited capital invested by the owners of the houses. Consequently, one-room type multi-family housing are lack of consideration and care for various dwellers. This study examines the existing condition of one-room type multi-family housing around campus and analyzes the data collected from the interviews and analyses of the floor plans of the housing. Finally, based on the findings from the analyses this study suggests the future direction for the planning of one-room type multi-family housing.

  • The air ventilation system of operation rooms has been studied to prevent the cross infection during the operation. Operation rooms and air ventilation systems of three University hospitals were investigated. The distribution of microbe was measured by cultivating air samples in the operation room. A two-dimensional model for the cross-section of an operation room was developed for the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis. The characteristics of air flow in the empty operation room and in occupied operation room were calculated by using a CFD program. The current diffuser location of an old hospital did not deliver the clean air to the operation part efficiently. A new method to locate diffusers that improve air venting with little increase of the cost of equipment was suggested.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve thermal environment of telecommunication equipment rooms that hold TDX-10, TDX-100, 5ESS-2000, PCM of the latest telecommunication equipment. Analysis program is used the commercial CFD code, Star-CD and DOE-2.1E. The result has been compared by the energy consumption and the temperature contour at the 1 m height of room for each case. Different methods such as the relocation of the existing air-conditioner, the inflow of the ambient air into room, the installation of the forced fan and the cooling system equipment of the duct-connection type have been used to test for improvement of thermal environment. The analysis shows that most efficient method is the inflow of the ambient air into room but auxiliary equipment should be needed to prevent the local thermal spot.

  • This paper reports a thermal environmental analysis of a room in accommodated with multi-heat sources according to ventilation condition. Two case modification have been investigated to obtain the lower temperature distribution in the room. The temperature distribution of the original room were found about $25{\sim}35^{\circ}C$. As a result, the use of, three ventilating fans and two electric fans are useful for room ventilation respectively, and using two electric fan is more recommendable in side of economical efficiency.
