  • 최근까지 용접구조물의 피로설계는 용접품질 수준에 따라 공칭응력 또는 핫스팟 응력에 의한 S-N선 도로부터 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 유한요소망의 크기에 덜 민감하면서 기존의 하중모드형식, 두께 효과 및 용접결합형식에 상관없는 등가구조응력(E2S2) 접근법을 이용한 Master S-N선도로부터 철도차량 대차프레임의 피로수명을 평가하고자 한다. 또한 합리적인 철도차량 용접대차프레임의 피로해석 연구일환으로서, 다축피로조건인 EN규격의 피로시험조건하에 이의 피로수명을 평가하고자 한다.

  • 도시철도는 시민을 빠르고 안전하게 수송하는 대중교통의 중심축이다. 도시철도차량의 유지보수는 고장 방지를 위한 예방정비의 개념이며 정해진 규정과 정비지침에 따라 시행되어야 한다. 신뢰성 있는 검수설비는 유지보수의 정확성과 전동차 운행의 정시성을 보장할 수 있다. 부산도시철도 전동차 검수용 검수설비를 자체 기술로 개발하여 활용한 사례 연구를 통해 유지보수 과학화와 전동차 안전운행 및 업무 효율 향상 방법을 고찰하고자 한다.

  • The running safety of rolling stock is assessed by derailment coefficient. It requires lots of preparatory time, expenditure and high measurement technique to measure derailment coefficient. If derailment coefficient could be measured when track or vehicle is maintained, safety will be improved. The measurement and assessment of running safety is necessary for safety especially for the vehicles newly developed and started service. Therefore measurement of derailment coefficient is most important thing to secure running safety. In this paper, we examined new assessment method which could estimate derailment coefficient by measuring vibration acceleration and displacement of vehicle operating at actual track irrespective of time and place. The new method could be used effectively as a mean confirming running safety.

  • Urban transit is a large scale complex system which combines rolling stocks, power supply, signal communications, tracks & stations. Therefore standardization is very important because it is difficult to find causes when failures or accidents occur. The standardization of urban transit increases safety and economical efficiency, and also gives passengers convenient and comfortable feeling. We, Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI), had finished the 1st phase study of urban transit standardization from '95 to '06. And 2nd phase study on rolling stock, information & communication, subway station has been performed from July '07. In this paper, we introduce what we study on urban transits standardization during coming 5 years. We expect our study will contribute to increase the efficiency of urban transit.

  • In this paper, a theoretical method was derived to redesign carbody members by substituting light-weight materials, and to estimate their structural characteristics. Some performance indices to estimate structural behaviors were derived in order to obtain equivalent designs in case of material substitutions under important design constraints of rolling stock, such as bending stiffness, natural frequency, bending and buckling strength. Validity of the theoretical method was evaluated by comparing its results with finite element results in some examples where the aluminium alloy was substituted for the structural steel. The numerical results of the examples show that the proposed method gives reasonable initial guesses for the material substitution designs.

  • In this study, the crash situations and general crash analysis methods of railway rolling stocks were explained. To calculate the applied load and the maximum stress in the carbody when two aluminum railway vehicles were shunted, the finite element models for the carbody and the coupling system were made. The characteristic curve of draft gear which had a function to reduce impact force was modeled by nonlinear bar elements and the carbody was modeled by shell elements. Two shunting speeds, 5km/h and 8km/h, were considered and the results were analyzed and compared with static analysis case. Also, the aluminum railway vehicle with 60km/h was crashed against rigid wall to examine the global behavior of the carbody.

  • One dimensional collision analysis is often used to simulate a train-to-train coupling or collision accident. But there are various numerical modeling techniques utilized for dynamic models of rolling stocks such as a lumped-spring-mass model or a bar-mass model. In rolling stock industries, a lumped-spring-mass model is mainly applied without consideration of bogie attachments separately. In this case, a dynamic stiffness coefficient is introduced to compensate the overestimated car mass effects due to the linkage stiffness of bogies and seats. In this paper, the effects of dynamic stiffness coefficients and wheel-rail friction coefficients were studied by simulating a bar-mass model with bogie attachments separately.

  • In this paper, the study on development of an applicable logic on the characteristics of Rolling stocks will be proposed. In general, this logic which means decision logic or LTA(Logic Tree Analysis) is used to analyze how the failure mode have an effects on the system. The effect would be categorized as safety, operational, economical, etc. To do this, based on the typical logics which have been applied to other industries, such as plants, aero, etc. This paper emphasizes two crucial parameters that is one cost the other customer service, that have an important role in railway system operation. In conclusion, as mentioned above as the logic for which could be effectively applied for the railway system(RST) would be developed.

  • In this study. problems caused during production process of stainless steel carbody are investigated and solutions are found out. Roll forming process to make complex shape is introduced and surface crack on high strength stainless steel plate is investigated. Also, surface indentation is discussed and the effect of welding condition is clarified. Insulated tip to reduce the indentation is recommended for improvement of surface smoothness. Lastly. corrosion of welded joint is discussed and the effects of material, stress and environment are investigated.

  • 이동오염원에 의한 VOCs의 배출기여도를 산정 평가한 국내외의 자료에 따르면, 전체 VOCs 배출량 중 이동배출원에 의한 기여도는 미국이 26 %, 유럽이 38 %, 한국이 45 % 정도를 점할 정도로 비중이 큰 배출원으로서 주목을 받고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 배출성분 중에는 포름알데히드, 벤젠, 크실렌, 톨루엔, 1,3-butadiene 등과 같이 인체에 매우 유해한 성분이 상당수 포함되어 있기 때문에, 이들은 주관리 대상 배출원으로 간주되고 있다. (중략)
