The Mechanism of Labor Motivation as a Determinant of Economic Security of Enterprises in Competitive Conditions

  • In the study of the mechanism of labor motivation as a determinant of economic security of the enterprise in competitive conditions, it was found that motivation is determinant in creating the conditions for production and ensuring the active functioning of the enterprise. It is substantiated that the motivational mechanism is the presence of a system of levers, incentives, measures and other elements for economic and administrative incentives for employees, which are used for incentives to work, increase productivity and safety, and more. The motivational mechanism plays an important role in ensuring the economic security of the enterprise and at the same time is a lever to increase competitiveness in the market. The functions of the mechanism of labor motivation are singled out, among which: explanatory-substantiating, regulative, communicative, socialization, regulating. The stages of occurrence of the motive for the employee are classified. The interrelation of motives and incentives in the mechanism of labor motivation as determinants of economic security of the enterprise in competitive conditions is proved. It is proved that the mechanism of labor motivation as a determinant of economic security of the enterprise in competitive conditions should be aimed at: assistance in forming and achieving goals and objectives of the enterprise and achieving balance and equilibrium of economic goals and social responsibility of the enterprise; ensuring close cooperation between management and employees of the enterprise; focus on building a flexible mechanism; transition to a democratic style of governance and involvement of employees in decision-making.

Communicative Model of Educational Transformations in the Realities of (Post) Modernity

  • In the context of the pandemic, educational institutions had to ensure an instant transition to remote technological models of communication within the new conditions of the educational environment. The purpose of the academic paper lies in determining the role of the communicative model of educational transformations in the realities of (post) modernity. The research methodology is based on a survey of 120 students from 10 higher educational institutions (HEIs) of Ukraine through an online form regarding the importance of live communication during a pandemic. Results. The communicative model changed significantly during the pandemic - the interaction was mainly due to technologies. The research has identified four communication models of educational transformations under the conditions of the pandemic, depending on learning models. The first traditional model of distance learning involves distance learning; the second model involves contact remote training using remote educational technologies; the third model is blended learning, which combines remote and traditional learning formats, synchronous and asynchronous modes of interaction; the fourth model is traditional contact training. The empirical study of the effectiveness of communication models proves that live communication remains extremely important for learning and understanding of educational materials by students, and technology has provided support for such communication. Along with this, seminars and video lectures with presentations combining live communication and communication technologies are as important as digital learning tools. The most effective teaching method for mastering and memorizing educational material was a live dialogue with a teacher at seminars in ZOOM, followed by individual written assignments on the studied topic.

  • Objective: This study examined the relationships among attention deficits/hyper activities problems(ADHD problems), executive function difficulties, and social capital inside the family, especially with the mediating effect of social capital inside the family, in children from dual-income households. Methods: The participants were 401 children from dual-income households from the eighth wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children. They belonged into lower and higher ADHD problems groups that showed below 25% or more than 75% of ADHD screening items' total score. The data were analyzed by t-test, correlation analysis and mediating effect test by PROCESS macro 3.5.3.. Results: Children's executive function difficulties and social capital inside the family were significantly different between the two lower and higher ADHD problems groups. A mediating effect was found based on the negative relationships between the social capital inside the family including mother's warm childrearing behavior and positive coparenting, and children's executive function difficulties. Children's ADHD problems had a negative influence on each of the two social capital variables and each of the two variables had a negative influence on the executive function difficulties. Conclusion/Implications: These results emphasize the meaningful role of social capital inside the family in the development of first graders with ADHD problems from dual-income households.

Snail Promotes Cancer Cell Proliferation via Its Interaction with the BIRC3

  • Snail is implicated in tumour growth and metastasis and is up-regulated in various human tumours. Although the role of Snails in epithelial-mesenchymal transition, which is particularly important in cancer metastasis, is well known, how they regulate tumour growth is poorly described. In this study, the possible molecular mechanisms of Snail in tumour growth were explored. Baculoviral inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) repeat-containing protein 3 (BIRC3), a co-activator of cell proliferation during tumourigenesis, was identified as a Snail-binding protein via a yeast two-hybrid system. Since BIRC3 is important for cell survival, the effect of BIRC3 binding partner Snail on cell survival was investigated in ovarian cancer cell lines. Results revealed that Bax expression was activated, while the expression levels of anti-apoptotic proteins were markedly decreased by small interfering RNA (siRNA) specific for Snail (siSnail). siSnail, the binding partner of siBIRC3, activated the tumour suppressor function of p53 by promoting p53 protein stability. Conversely, BIRC3 could interact with Snail, for this reason, the possibility of BIRC3 involvement in EMT was investigated. BIRC3 overexpression resulted in a decreased expression of the epithelial marker and an increased expression of the mesenchymal markers. siSnail or siBIRC3 reduced the mRNA levels of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9. These results provide evidence that Snail promotes cell proliferation by interacting with BIRC3 and that BIRC3 might be involved in EMT via binding to Snail in ovarian cancer cells. Therefore, our results suggested the novel relevance of BIRC3, the binding partner of Snail, in ovarian cancer development.

민간 조종사 전환과정 중 업무안배 능력 향상을 위한 조종역량 요인 분석연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Pilot Competency to Improve Work Management in the Civilian Pilot Transition Course)

  • 조종사의 역할은 항공사의 안전에 절대적으로 중요하다. 초기 비행훈련 단계에서 군과 민간 출신별 실제 비행에 필요한 조종사 역량 습득에 차이가 있는지를 확인하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 배경별 교육훈련의 진행상황과 효과를 분석하여 차별화된 역량기반 교육을 연구하고자 한다. 특히, 업무안배 능력은 다른 조종역량에 대한 이해가 바탕이 되어야 하여, 타 조종역량이 업무안배에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 교육 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 군과 민간 출신에 따라 ICAO가 정의한 8개 역량 중 정기 숙련도 점검 결과에 차이가 있는지 여부를 판단하며, 군과 민간 출신의 평균 차이 및 두 집단의 업무안배에 미치는 조종역량 요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과 업무안배에 미치는 요인으로서 의사소통 능력과 상황인식 능력이 중요한 요인으로 분석되었으며, 군출신의 경우는 상황인식 능력이 뛰어날수록 업무안배 능력이 높은 것으로 나타나는 반면, 민간출신의 경우 의사소통 능력이 뛰어날수록 업무안배 능력이 높아지는 것으로 나타남에 따라 업무안배 교육에 출신에 따른 차별화된 교육이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

The Mediating Role of Depression Severity on the Relationship Between Suicidal Ideation and Self-Injury in Adolescents With Major Depressive Disorder

  • Objectives: Suicide is the leading cause of death among adolescents in South Korea, and depression and personality profiles have been identified as significant risk factors for self-injurious behavior. This study examined the influence of depressive mood and temperament/character on self-injury in adolescents. Methods: A total of 116 adolescents (aged 12-18 years) with a primary diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) and their parents were enrolled in this study. The participants were divided into three groups based on adolescent's self-injury frequency, and their Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), Youth Self-Report (YSR), and Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI) scores were compared. Finally, mediation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between suicidal ideation and self-injury. Results: Of study participants, 75.9% answered that they had suicidal ideation, and 55.2% answered that they had engaged in self-injurious behavior in the last six months. There were significant differences in CDI and suicidal ideation among the groups. After adjusting for age and sex, mediation analysis indicated that depressive mood mediated the relationship between suicidal ideation and self-injury. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of evaluating and managing depressive mood severity in adolescents with MDD as these factors partially mediate the transition from suicidal ideation to self-injury.

도시 제네바에서의 칼빈의 종교개혁과 현대 기독교의 도시 선교적 방향성 모색 (Calvin's Reformation in Geneva and the Urban Missional Direction of Christianity Today)

  • 본 연구는 칼빈이 도시 제네바에서 진행했던 종교개혁의 특징들을 살펴보고 오늘날 기독교가 도시적 환경에서 기독교의 가치를 드러내기 위해 어떠한 효율적 기능을 감당할 수 있을 것인지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 칼빈의 종교개혁은 공공의 영역에서 교회의 분명한 자리와 역할을 마련해 주었다. 또한, 칼빈의 종교개혁의 과정에서는 항상 빈민이나 여성 등과 같은 당시의 사회적 약자들에 관한 관심과 복지적 실천이 뒤따랐다. 이러한 이해에서 본 연구는 오늘날 현대교회가 도시적 환경에서 실천할 수 있는 다음의 적용점들을 제시했다. 첫째로, 교회는 도시적 환경이 가지는 다양성과 유동성, 역동성을 분명히 이해하고 성경이 지지하는 다양한 상황적 적용을 통한 변화를 시도할 수 있어야 한다. 둘째, 교회의 선교적 접근은 믿음-소속감 프로세스에서 소속감-믿음으로 전환되어야 한다. 셋째, 친숙한 전통적 교회에서 새로운 사회적 현실로서의 교회로의 전환이 필요하며 지역사회 공동체가 가지는 관심사와 분위기에 대해 분명히 이해하고 그것에 보조를 맞추는 노력이 필요하다. 그리고 마지막으로, 현대의 교회는 이전보다도 더욱 새로운 생태학적 민감성을 유지할 필요가 있다.

고분자전해질막의 수화에 의한 기계적 특성의 변화 연구 (A Study on the Changes in Mechanical Properties by the Hydration of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane)

  • In this study, as one part of the studies on the mechanical properties of the polymer electrolyte membrane, a study was conducted on the change in the mechanical properties due to hydration before and after aging of the polymer electrolyte membrane. The mechanical properties of the polymer electrolyte membrane changes due to hydration were confirmed through tensile tests of hydrated and non-hydrated Nafion 117. As results of this study, non-hydrated membrane showed higher mechanical properties than hydrated thing in the elastic region and some plastic regions. But, it was confirmed that hydrated membrane exhibited higher mechanical properties than non-hydrated thing in the large plastic region. Hydrated membrane has a lower glass transition temperature than non-hydrated thing due to the role of water as a plasticizer. In addition, the number of ion aggregates decreases, but the size increases, and the hydrated Nafion 117 is thought to have different mechanical properties from that of the non-hydrated thing due to the characteristic that the internal attraction is strengthened.

Anti-Tumor Effect of IDF-11774, an Inhibitor of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1, on Melanoma

  • Melanoma is one of the most aggressive skin cancers. Hypoxia contributes to the aggressiveness of melanoma by promoting cancer growth and metastasis. Upregulation of cyclin D1 can promote uncontrolled cell proliferation in melanoma, whereas stimulation of cytotoxic T cell activity can inhibit it. Epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a critical role in melanoma metastasis. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) is a main transcriptional mediator that regulates many genes related to hypoxia. CoCl2 is one of the most commonly used hypoxia-mimetic chemicals in cell culture. In this study, inhibitory effects of IDF-11774, an inhibitor of HIF-1α, on melanoma growth and metastasis were examined using cultured B16F10 mouse melanoma cells and nude mice transplanted with B16F10 melanoma cells in the presence or absence of CoCl2-induced hypoxia. IDF-11774 reduced HIF-1α upregulation and cell survival, but increased cytotoxicity of cultured melanoma cells under CoCl2-induced hypoxia. IDF-11774 also reduced tumor size and local invasion of B16F10 melanoma in nude mice along with HIF-1α downregulation. Expression levels of cyclin D1 in melanoma were increased by CoCl2 but decreased by IDF-11774. Apoptosis of melanoma cells and infiltration of cytotoxic T cells were increased in melanoma after treatment with IDF-11774. EMT was stimulated by CoCl2, but restored by IDF11774. Overall, IDF-11774 inhibited the growth and metastasis of B16F10 melanoma via HIF-1α downregulation. The growth of B16F10 melanoma was inhibited by cyclin D1 downregulation and cytotoxic T cell stimulation. Metastasis of B16F10 melanoma was inhibited by EMT suppression.

수소충전소 내 연료전지용 수소연료 품질 관리 및 표준화 동향 (Current Status of Standardization for Quality Control of Hydrogen Fuel in Hydrogen Refueling Stations for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles)

  • Hydrogen is promising a candidate for energy supporting the carbon neutrality policy for greenhouse gas reduction, which is being promoted in several countries, including Korea. Although challenging efforts-such as lowering the costs of green hydrogen production and fuel cells-remain, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are expected to play a significant role in the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. In line with this objective, the hydrogen FCEV working group in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compiled and revised international standards related to hydrogen refueling stations as of 2019. A well-established hydrogen quality management system based on the standard documents will increase the reliability of hydrogen charging stations and accelerate the use of FCEVs. In this study, among the published ISO standards and other references, the main requirements for managing charging stations and developing related techniques were summarized and explained. To respond preemptively to the growing FCEV market, a continuous hydrogen quality monitoring method suitable for use at hydrogen charging stations was proposed.
