Cost Management Optimization Based on RPA for Management Accounting (관리회계실행을 위한 RPA기반 원가관리 최적화 방안)

  • Due to the advance of artificial intelligence, wide use of RPA(Robotic Process Automation) became inevitable. The purpose of this study is to seek cost management optimization based on RPA which has automatic collection of cost information, timeliness and flexibility. The cost management system based on RPA will be able to optimize and improve the cost management process through the cross-system of cost information recognition and the cloud platform. Following the review of previous researches on the benefit of the RPA-related technology along with the investigation on the problems of current cost management system, this study will suggest a way to adopt RPA to optimize cost management system for the implement of strategic management accounting to support management decision making.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a process management system to manage ingot fabrication and improve ingot quality. The ingot is the first manufactured material of wafers. Trace parameters were collected on-line but measurement parameters were measured by sampling inspection. The quality parameters were applied to evaluate the quality. Therefore, preprocessing was necessary to extract useful information from the quality data. First, statistical methods were used for data generation. Then, modeling was performed, using the generated data, to improve the performance of the models. The function of the models is to predict the quality corresponding to control parameters. Secondly, rule extraction was performed to find the relation between the production quality and control conditions. The extracted rules can give important information concerning how to handle the process correctly. The dynamic polynomial neural network (DPNN) and decision tree were applied for data modeling and rule extraction, respectively, from the ingot fabrication data.

  • Fieldbus is the real-time communication network for process control and manufacturing automation systems. IEC/ISA fieldbus was proposed as an international standard of fieldbus network. This protocol is operated on the basis of token-passing and scheduling mechanism. In this paper, we analyze the performance characteristics of the 1996 version of IEC/ISA fieldbus systems.

  • Fieldbuses are used as the lowest level communication network for real-time communication in factory automation and process control systems. Data generated from field devices can be divided into three categories: sporadic real-time, periodic real-time and non real-time data. Since these data share one fieldbus network medium, it needs a method that allocate the limited bandwidth of fieldbus network to the sporadic real-time, periodic real-time and non real-time traffic. This paper introduces an implementation method of bandwidth allocation scheme introduced in [51 on PROFIBUS. Using the modified PROFIBUS FDL(Fieldbus Data Link layer), the bandwidth allocation scheme introduced in [51 is verified by the experiments.

  • This paper deals with a method for creating animation by interaction with animation operators. Operators are able to edit/transform any given motion data to more natural animations by the motion editing method proposed in this paper. The proposed technique is especially useful when some paris of character structure are changed. The system to be proposed is designed to fully utilize the experience of animation operators as well as to accomodate semi-automation process with spline interpolation. An example for retargeting a given motion data to a new character of dramatically changed kinematic structure.

Improved Mold Level Control for Continuous Steel Casting by Fuzzy Logic Control

  • This paper gives a simulation study of a new fuzzy logic control(FLC) approach for the mold level control in continuous casting processes. The proposed FLC is PID type hybridizing the conventional fuzzy PI control and Fuzzy PD control with a simplified design scheme. It is shown that, compared with the conventional control, this new control strategy can achieve superior performance for steady-state response and is more robust against process parameter variations and disturbances.

  • The purpose of this project is to develop an automatic cutting robot system of cast steel, which raise productivity with improvement of working circumstances, overcomming labor deficiency, reduction of process and cycle time by applying cutting automation at inferior working circumstances and condition of a foundry. This system consisted of a 5 DOF tool system, an improved conveyer system and the HR-8608 ROBOT, makes it possible to get the reduction of 12 manpowers and 30% productivity up.

  • A manipulator with 3 degrees of freedom is developed to automate operation of 60 ton pressing process. The pneumatically actuated manipulator is controlled by a programmable controller. Four seconds of cycle time which is faster than manual operation is achieved. Though the flexible feed mechanism, the system can accammodate any size of workpieces between 80*80 and 200*200 under 1 kg of weight.

  • Die finishing (polishing and lapping) after NC machining is characterized as one bottleneck process for reducing lead time. For automation of this typical manual work, a flexible polishing tool system using industrial robot has been developed. This tool system has three principal functions in order to achieve reduction of waviness, 3 D.O.F. compliance and constant pressure structure. This polishing tool shows that adaptability to free form surface is increased and programmability to various areas of die surface is also acquired.
