A tool which can be used for the analysis of a robot soccer game is presented. The tool enables automatic filtering and selection of game sequences which are suitable for the analysis of the game. Fuzzy logic is used since the data gathered by a camera is highly noisy. The data used in the paper was recorded during the game Germany - Slovenia in Hagen, on November 11, 2001. The dynamic parameters of our robots are estimated using the least squares technique. Meandering parameters are estimated and an attempt is made to identify the strategy of the opposing team with the method of introspection.

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy inference model for a navigation algorithm for a mobile robot that intelligently searches goal location in unknown dynamic environments. Our model uses sensor fusion based on situational commands using an ultrasonic sensor. Instead of using the "physical sensor fusion" method, which generates the trajectory of a robot based upon the environment model and sensory data, a "command fusion" method is used to govern the robot motions. The navigation strategy is based on a combination of fuzzy rules tuned for both goal-approach and obstacle-avoidance based on a hierarchical behavior-based control architecture. To identify the environments, a command fusion technique is introduced where the sensory data of the ultrasonic sensors and a vision sensor are fused into the identification process. The result of experiment has shown that highlights interesting aspects of the goal seeking, obstacle avoiding, decision making process that arise from navigation interaction.

This paper proposes an efficient localization algorithm in the RFID sensor space for the precise localization of a mobile robot. The RFID sensor space consists of embedded sensors and a mobile robot. The embedded sensors, that is tags are holding the absolute position data and provide them to the robot which carries a reader and requests the absolute position fur localization. The reader, it is called as antenna usually, gets several tag data at the same time within its readable range. It takes time to read all the tags and to process the data to estimate the position, which is a major factor to deteriorate the localization accuracy. In this paper, an efficient algorithm to estimate the position and orientation of the mobile robot as quickly as possible has been proposed. Along with the algorithm, a new allocation of the tags in the RFID sensor space is also proposed to improve the localization accuracy. The proposed algorithms are demonstrated and verified through the real experiments.
The Kalman filter has been used as a self-localization method for the mobile robot. To satisfy the assumptions inherent in the Kalman filter, we should calibrate the sensors of the robot before use of them. However, it is generally hard to find exact sensor parameters, and the parameters may change during the robot task as the environment varies. Thus we need to perform on-line sensor calibration, by which we can obtain more credible location of the mobile robot. In this paper, we present an on-line sensor calibration scheme which estimates the unknown sensor bias and the current position of the robot. To this end, first we find out the calibration errors of the sensor from redundant sensory data using the parity vector and recursive minimum variance estimation. Then we calculate the current position of the robot by weighted least square estimation without internal encoder data. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated through computer simulation.
In this paper, wireless interface of the motion between human and robot is implemented. The idea is that if a human who is equiped with device including accelerometer and rate-gyro sensor move his/her arm, then the robot follows human motion. The robot is designed as wheeled type mobile robot with two link arms. The robot´s basic movements such as forward, backward, left, right movement can be controlled from foot sensor which human steps on. Arm movements can be controlled by arm motion of human motion. In order to detect human motion, sensor data analysis from gyro and accelerometer has to be done. Data from sensors are transferred through wireless communication to activate the robot.
This paper is dealing with how to control of a client robot's movement for instructions from a server PC and a wireless andremote control Robot that sends the server information of images for monitoring. To implement this. 802.11x WLAN with TCP/IP socket programming is used to get the driving instructions from the server PC and control movements of the robot such as a forward, backward and directions. As well as this, ARM9 cored PAX255 embedded processor and Linux OS is used for the function transmitting BMP format of 320 ${\times}$ 240 pixel for stopped image data.

Recently, there are lots of concerning on ubiquitous environment of robots and URC (Ubiquitous Robotic Companion). In this paper, a practical ubiquitous interface system far controlling mobile robots in indoor environments was proposed. The interface system was designed as a manager-agent model including a PC manager, a mobile manager, and robot agents for being able to be accessed by any network. In the system, the PC manager has a 3D virtual environment and shows real images for a human-friendly interface, and share the computation load of the robot such as path planning and managing geographical information. It also contains Hybrid Format Manager(HFM) working for transforming the image, position, and control data and interchanging them between the robots and the managers. Mobile manager working in the minimized computing condition of handsets has a mobile interface environment displaying the real images and the position of the robot and being able to control the robots by pressing keys. Experimental results showed the proposed system was able to control robots rising wired and wireless LAN and mobile Internet.

In this Paper a basic technique of gantry robot control system has been developed to weld the curved part of a large structure. A welding robot is designed to rotate torch and make the torch angle normal to the welding surface. The Kalman filter is applied to obtain the smooth welding path signal from the noised Sensing data. A welding path finding algorithm has been developed in Turbo-C language.

In this paper, an auto path generation and an active compliance grinding control using 3-axis farce sensor are presented. These control algorithms enable the grinding robot to follow unknown path of various workpiece shape pattern. The robot is able to go grinding along unknown paths by position controller managing tangential direction angle and cutting speed, with only information about the start position and the end position. Magnitude and direction of normal force are calculated using force data that go through low pass filter. Moreover, normal and tangential directions are separated for force control and velocity control, respectively.
In this paper, we propose a method to automatically extract stable visual landmarks from observed data for a mobile robot with stereo vision system. The robot selects as stable landmarks vertical line segments which are distinct and on planar surfaces, because they are expected to be observed reliably from various view-points. When the robot moves, it uses several, less uncertain landmarks for estimating its motion. Experimental results in real scenes show the validity of the proposed method.
