저소음용 콘크리트 포장의 소음평가 (Evaluation of the Noise Emission in Low Noise Concrete Pavements)

  • Noise has become an environmental pollution that affects most peoples' health, comfort or general well being. there are many sources of noise, but one of them clearly dominates road traffic noise. It has traditionally been associated with engine and exhaust noise of vehicles. However the emission and propagation of noise from these sources were partly reduced, while at the same time the noise emission from the tire/road interaction on a relative scale became more and more prominent Generally, Portland cement concrete(PCC) pavements have the advantage of durability and superior surface friction when compared to most dense-graded asphalt. However, It is known that PCC pavements create more noise than asphaltic surfaces due to the noise from interaction of tire and pavement surface. Therefore, recent research has shown some new concrete pavement textures to be worth further examination. So in this paper, we considered the 9 types of low noise concrete pavements to evaluate tire/pavement noise.

아스팔트 저소음 포장의 개발 및 공용성 평가 (Noise reduction of Asphalt Concrete Pavement : Techniques and their performance evaluation)

  • 배수성 포장의 장점은 우천시 운전자에게 노면의 배수 기능과 타이어 노면의 마찰저항성과 같은 효과를 증대 시켜 일반 밀입도 아스팔트 혼합물에 비해 타이어 노면 소음을 감소시키는 효과를 제공 해준다. 그러나, 배수성 포장은 공용 후 노면의 공극 막힘 현상 등으로 인하여 주기적인 유지보수 작업이 동반된다. 그러므로 본 연구를 통해 개발된 저소음포장의 공극 형성은 굵은골재의 비율을 높여 공극형성을 직선화하여 투수 및 공극막힘 등을 최소화 하도록 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 저소음포장인 19mm, 13mm, 10mm, 8mm 저소음포장은 현재 4년이 공용된 상태에서 양호한 포장상태를 보여주며, 특수성능은 신설수준인 투수성능을 유지하고 있으며, 미끄럼 저항성도 만족하는 우수한 공용성을 나타내고 있다.

신속개방형 콘크리트 도로포장재의 설계를 위한 실험실적 평가 연구 (A Study on Design of High Early Strength Cement and Concrete for Road Way Pavements)

  • In road pavements, it is known that cement concrete pavement has superior durability, safety in compared with asphalt concrete pavement. But in reparing pavement cement concrete pavement is not usually applied because of the length of time while the road is interrupted when using Ordinary and Rapid-hardening Portland Cement. And Super High Early Strength Cement and Ultra Super High Early Strength Cement are not favorable for ready mixied concrete because of rapid setting time, high slump loss and other restrictions. We aim to develope specific cement and concrete developing 1 day strength of over 300 kg/$cm^{2}$ to open the road within one day and workable time is maintained over 1 hour that can be used as ready mixed concrete. In this study, we Produced cement using rapid-hardening cement, Hauyne clinker, anhydride gypsum and accelerator and studied on its properties. The concrete strength was over 300 kg/$cm^{2}$ at 1 day and 550 kg/$cm^{2}$ at 28 day and workable time was maintained for over 1 hour.

한국의 도로분야 기술수준 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Technology Level Assessment of Road Construction in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 건설산업에 있어서 파급효과가 높은 도로시설물을 선정하여, 세부적인 기술수준 분석을 실시하고, 향후 해외 진출을 위한 중점추진분야를 도출하였다. 분석결과, 한국의 도로시설물에 대한 기술수준은 도로 운영 및 관리기술 부문에 대한 기술수준이 높은 반면, 도로포장기술 부문은 상대적으로 낮은 기술수준을 보유한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 본 연구에서는 경제적, 사회적, 기술적 중요도를 분석하여 투자효율이 높을 것으로 판단되는 중점 추진 분야를 도출하였으며, 도출된 항목으로는 "무보수 모듈러 도로포장 기술"과 "도시 온도저감형 도로 기술"로 나타났다.

고속도로 줄눈 콘크리트 포장의 평탄성 모델 개발 (Development of Roughness-Model for Jointed Plain Concrete Pavements in Express Highway)

  • 평탄성은 도로 공용성을 확보하기 위한 중요한 인자이며, 줄눈콘크리트 포장에서 수명에 큰 영향을 미친다. 포장의 공용성을 평가하는 요소로는 크게 기능성 평가, 안정성 평가 및 구조적 성능 평가가 있다. 기능성 평가 가운데 가장 대표적인 평탄성은 유지보수를 위한 중요한 기준으로 이용되고 있으나 체계적인 연구를 통해 포장 설계시에 적용하기 위한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 신뢰성 있는 평탄성 모델의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 국내 콘크리트포장의 노선별 총 연장 280.93km를 일정기준으로 나누어 238개의 섹션으로 선별하였다. 또한, 현재 국내 평탄성 모델에서 고려하고 있는 영향인자인 스폴링, 균열, 재령뿐만 아니라 동결지수, 연평균강수량, 기층조건, 교통량 등에 대한 검토가 이루어졌으며, 재령의 다양화를 위하여 추가적인 노선을 선별하여 평탄성에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 대한 분석이 이루어졌다. 분석결과는 스폴링(%), 균열(%), 재령(년), 기층이 평탄성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 평탄성과의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 신뢰성 있는 평탄성 모델이 도출되었으며, 평탄성를 설명할 수 있는 비율은 68.8%로 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 소입경 골재노출콘크리트포장의 시험시공을 실시하여 초기 공용성을 평가하였으며, 이를 통하여 적정 강도, 저소음 및 적정 미끄럼저항을 확보함을 확인하였다.

열매체 순환수 배관이 매설된 콘크리트 도로 포장체의 표면 온도 변화와 방열량 평가 (Evaluation of Surface Temperature Variation and Heat Exchange Rate of Concrete Road Pavement with Buried Circulating Water Piping)

  • Hydronic heated road pavement (HHP) systems have been well established and documented to provide road safety in winter season over the past two decades. However, most of the systems run on asphalt, only a few are tested with concrete, and there rarely is a comparison between those two common road materials in their performance. The aim of this study is to investigate the thermal performance of the concrete HHP systems, including surface temperature variations of experimental pavements in winter season. For preliminary study a small-scale experimental system was installed to evaluate the heat transfer characteristics of the concrete HHP in the test field. The system consists of 3 concrete slabs made of 1 m in width, 1 m in length, and 0.25 m in height. In these slabs, circulating water piping was embedded with different pipe depths of 0.08 m (Case A), 0.12 m (Case B), and 0.20 m (Case C) and same horizontal space of 0.16 m. Heating performance in winter season was tested with different inlet temperatures of 25℃, 30℃, 35℃ and 40℃ during the entire measurement period. Overall, the surface temperature of the concrete HHPs remained above 3℃ in all experimental conditions applied in this study. The results of the surface temperature measurement with respect to the pipe depth showed that Case B was the highest among the three cases. However, the closer the circulating water pipe was to the pavement surface, the greater the heat exchange rate. This results is considered that the heat is continuously accumulated inside the pavements and then the temperature inside the pavements increases, while the amount of heat dissipation decreases as the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of circulating water decreases. In this preliminary test the applicability of the concrete HHP on road deicing was confirmed. Finally, the results can be used as a basis for studying the effects of various variables on road pavements through numerical analysis and for conducting large-scale empirical experiments.

지하도로시설물의 LCC예측 모델 및 시스템 개발 (Development of Life Cycle Cost Model & System of the Road Tunnel)

  • Recently, Life Cycle Cost (LCC) for civil infrastructures, such as pavements, bridges, and dams, has been emphasized. However there are few cost models for road tunnel especially for maintenance phase. The road network is composed of highways, bridges, and road tunnels. Thus it is as important as for road tunnels to keep safe for traffic. The maintenance strategies for road tunnels can be achieved based on the minimization of LCC in maintenance phase. For this purpose, in this paper, cost model and cost classification for road tunnel in maintenance phase are suggested.

SWMM 모형을 이용한 목감천 유역의 LID 시설 적용 홍수저감효과 분석 (An Analysis of Flood Mitigation Effect Applying to LID in Mokgamcheon Watershed using SWMM Model)

  • PURPOSES: In this study, flood mitigation effect of drainage asphalt concrete pavement were analyzed by a SWMM 5.0 program in order to evaluate the low impact development (LID) based on the drainage asphalt concrete pavements. METHODS: In order to determine the porosity parameters of drainage asphalt concretes, the specimen mixtures were manufactured using the conditions presented in the previous study. The numerical simulation was conducted using the SWMM 5.0 program considering the flood mitigation effect of drainage asphalt concrete pavements. The effect of flood reduction can be observed when drainage asphalt concrete pavements were applied to Mokgamcheon watershed. The flood mitigation effect analysis of Mokgamcheon watershed as well as continuous simulation of subwatershed runoff were performed through this study. RESULTS : The analysis of drainage asphalt concrete pavements was carried out for evaluating the effect on runoff, resulting in: the peak flow decreases up to 1.26~9.53% after drainage asphalt concrete pavements applied in the SWMM 5.0 program furthermore, the discharge decreases up to 0.55~4.11%. CONCLUSIONS: As a result, the reduced peak flow and discharge were found through the SWMM 5.0 program. It can be concluded that the flood is effectively reduced when the drainage asphalt concrete pavements are used.

도로 포장체에서 동상에 대한 지하수위 영향 평가 (Evaluation of Ground Water Level Effect on Frost Heaving in Road Pavements)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to evaluate a ground water level effect on frost heaving in road pavements. METHODS: The effects of water table on frost heaving in pavement systems were evaluated from the mechanical analysis using FROST program. The input parameters and boundary conditions were determined by considering climates, pavement sections, and material properties specially subgrade soil types in Korea. RESULTS: When the water table located above the freezing depth, amount of frost heaving caused by freezing the water in pavement itself was big enough to damage in pavement system, although pavement system consists of fully non-frost-susceptible materials with sufficient thickness of anti-freezing layer. The amount of frost heaving was decreased rapidly with increasing the distance between the water table and freezing depth. CONCLUSIONS: It was concluded that there is no engineering problems related with frost heaving in practical sense when the distance between freezing depth and water table is over 1.5m for having subgrade soils less than 50% of #200 sieve passing to meet specification on quality control in Korea.
