도로 환경에서 자율주행을 위한 독립 관찰자 기반 주행 상황 인지 방법 (Independent Object based Situation Awareness for Autonomous Driving in On-Road Environment)

  • This paper proposes a situation awareness method based on data fusion and independent objects for autonomous driving in on-road environment. The proposed method, designed to achieve an accurate analysis of driving situations in on-road environment, executes preprocessing tasks that include coordinate transformations, data filtering, and data fusion and independent object based situation assessment to evaluate the collision risks of driving situations and calculate a desired velocity. The method was implemented in an open-source robot operating system called ROS and tested on a closed road with other vehicles. It performed successfully in several scenarios similar to a real road environment.

  • This paper proposes autonomous speed control strategy for an Electric Vehicle on urban road. SNU campus road is used to reperesent urban road situation. Motor efficiency of driving on campus circulation road can be improved by controlling velocity properly. Given information of campus road, especially slope of road, acceleration is selected from candidate, considering consumed power, human factor and driving time. To apply urban situation, preceding vehicle is also considered. With preceding vehicle, acceleration is defined according to clearance and relative velocity. Acceleration is bounded in normal range. Proposed acceleration control method is activated with proper velocity range for campus circulation road. With acceleration control, motor efficiency becomes better than driving with constant vehicle. To evaluate the performance of proposed acceleration controller, simulation study is conducted via MATLAB.

  • In this paper, we apply sliding control law to a nonlinear electro-hydraulic suspension system. The force the actuator must track is determined by the skyhook control law and the desired force value varies according to the road situation. The road frequencies can inform us of the current road situation. Detecting the road frequencies, we use the Fourier Transform.

  • 도로전광표지판(VMS : Variable Message Sign)은 도로이용자에게 교통, 도로, 기상상황 및 공사로 인한 통제 등에 대한 실시간 정보를 제공함으로써 교통흐름의 효율화와 통행의 안전성을 향상시키기 위한 장비이다. 일반국도 VMS의 대부분을 차지하는 문자식 VMS에서 표출 및 제공되는 소통정보 메시지 구성은 일반적으로 구간, 구간에 대한 통행시간, 소통상황에 대한 정보로 이루어진다. 본 연구에서는 수도권 일반국도에서 운영 중인 문자식 VMS를 대상으로 도로이용자 선호도 분석을 통해 도로관리자 위주의 기존 표출문안을 도로이용자 중심으로 개선안을 마련하였다. 아울러 도로이용자가 가장 선호하는 돌발상황에 대한 정보를 신속하고 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 시스템 개선에 대한 방안을 제시함으로써 도로이용자 중심의 VMS 교통정보 제공 효용성을 향상시키고자 한다.

  • 현재 자율주행차량은 테스트 이후 상용화를 눈앞에 두고 있다. 그러나 아직 자율주행차량이 완벽히 상용화되지 않았음에도 81건의 사고가 발생했으며, 사고를 피하기 위한 차량의 주행 방식은 LiDAR에 많이 의존하고 있다. 현재 상용화된 3레벨 자율주행차량이 4레벨 자율주행차량으로 발전하기 위해서는 기존에 수집되는 정보보다 더 많은 정보를 수집해야만 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 자율주행차량에서 수집하는 정보인 도로 정보, 기상정보를 포함하여 차량이 주행 중인 도로의 거칠기와 자기 자신 및 주변 차량의 탑승객 상태를 정확하게 인식하여 차량이 처한 위기 상황을 정확하게 계산하는 Driving Situation Judgment System (DSJS)을 제안한다. DSJS의 PDM에 대한 실험 결과, PDM은 기존 차량의 탑승객 인식 시스템보다 평균적으로 15.52% 더 정확하게 탑승객을 분류할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 기존 3단계 자율주행차량이 수집하는 데이터보다 더 다양한 종류를 수집하여 4단계 자율주행차량을 달성하는 기초연구가 될 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 도로의 조명 방식을 기존의 높은 폴 조명 방식에서 낮은 위치의 조명방식으로 새롭게 접근하여 도로의 내 외부 경관의 시 환경을 쾌적하게 하고, 장해 광(눈부심 후사 광)의 요소를 제거하는 환경 친화적인 조명 방식을 제시하고자 하였다. 도로경관이 중요하게 되고 있는 현 추세를 고려하여 경관적인 요소로서의 역할을 위한 미려한 디자인을 중심으로의 연구내용을 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 국내외 낮은 조명의 이용실태를 조사하고, 개선사항을 찾고자 하였으며, 보다 효율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 또한 낮은 조명의 설치가 이루어지게 되는 도로의 주요 시설물에 대한 자료 및 현장조사를 통하여, 조명기구의 설치 표준을 제시하였고, 국내 실정에 적합한 낮은 조명의 개발방향과 조명기구 디자인의 방향을 제시하였다.

The Belt and Road Initiative in Lebanon: A Promising Initiative in a Complex Society

  • The study aims to investigate Lebanese-Chinese relations within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. Lebanon formally joined the effort in 2017; this paper emphasizes Lebanon's geostrategic importance. The paper presents an assessment of the investment risks in Lebanon, which is considered an economically unstable country with a volatile security situation, with many internal and external political hurdles. The paper refers to the obstacles and challenges that the Chinese investor may face in Lebanese society. The study employs qualitative descriptive analysis to address the status of Chinese investment in Lebanon and the consequences of this partnership; the paper examines previous research related to the Belt and Road Initiative and the Lebanese political, security, and economic situation literature. Due to the deteriorating security situation, external intervention, and the economic crisis, the results reveal that Lebanon is not a top investment priority for China, which is a big impediment to China entering into economic cooperation with Lebanon. The findings of this study suggest that the Lebanese government should adopt an anti-corruption policy to build confidence for the Chinese investor, reduce unnecessary public spending, and hold a national dialogue to build confidence among the Lebanese parties.

  • Antilock brake system(ABS) prevent the wheels of road vehicle from locking up and skidding so that the braking force is from static friction instead of kinetic friction. Therefore ABS helps drivers maintain steering control during breaking situation particularly at an emergency stopping situation.   • The purpose of this study is to investigate installation status of information facilities and condition of walking road influencing to psychological safety of walking tourists. For this purpose, four roads for walking tour are selected; the course no. 16 of Jeju Olle Trail, Sarabong Byeoldobong walkway in Jeju and the course no. 8 of Bougil, Gyeongpo Lake walkway in Gangneung. Facilities installed on roads for walking tour are classified into four facilities; safety facility, information facility, amenity facility, local cultural facility. In order to consider installation status of information facilities and condition of walking road influencing to psychological safety of walking tourist, a field experiment was conduced focusing on the course no. 16 of Jeju Olle Trail. Thirteen cases were happened as confusing situation while walking tour. Of the 13 cases, the situation of being lost and wandering on the trail accounted for six cases. In contrast to the expectation that the situation of being lost and wandering would occur only at a crossroads, it is not that such situation took place at specific places like a crossroads or where direction signs were inaccurate. Walking tourists of this field experiment also confronted situations of having lost confidence about continuing the ongoing direction, of having anxiety over walking a walking trail, of feeling discomfort caused by walking and of being offended by uncomfortable or messy areas of walking trial. These confusing situations are happened inappropriate installation of direction sign, so direction sign is needed to install more carefully and detailed.

도로소음 정온화를 위한 ANC시스템에서 성능개선을 위한 Expanded-CLMS 알고리즘의 특성 (Characteristics of Expanded-CLMS Algorithm for Performance Improvement in ANC Systems for Road Noise Calming)

  • Noise problem that occurs on the road is raising a lot of problems in the economic, social and environmental aspects. The active noise control (ANC) systems based on the filtered-X least mean square(FxLMS) algorithm have a problem with compensating the acoustic feedback of secondary route. However, newly proposed correlation-LMS(CLMS) and expanded CLMS algorithms have slightly much calculation and are minutely behind performance, these have a advantage not in measuring transfer function onerously so that we can easily adapt these in real time. The CLMS and expanded CLMS algorithm was developed to improve the real-time implementation performance under the variable input noise such as road noise environment. In this paper, we compared and analyzed their performance. From the results of the Matlab simulation for an ANC system, it is shown that expanded CLMS algorithms are more convergence speed and keep the desirable performance even in the input of road noise situation.
