Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of oral hygiene products in Korean adult population. And it was conducted to make a baseline in planning the operation of the oral health for the Korean adult. Methods : The National Survey data of Oral Health was used. The use of each oral hygiene product was analysed according to socioeconomic status (Age, Occupation, Residential district), smoking status and concern about one's oral health. The subject of this study were 14,368 of 2000 year, 3,526 of 2003 year and 2,439 of 2006 year. They were organized from 20s to 60s. Data was analysed into Pearson chi-square test and Fisher's exact test using SAS 8.01 program. Results : 1. The rate of using oral hygiene product was increased, but the rate of non-using people remains 65.8% on the 2006 data. 2. The non-using group of the oral hygiene products was the age of sixty, farmer, rancher, fisherman, military, ruralist, smoker and the people do not concern about their oral health(p<0.05). Conclusion : To improve the rate of using oral hygiene products, effective motivation method would be necessary. In addition, It is required to educate the group more individually. This is for them to have a interesting about oral hygiene products and learn how to choice appropriate product. In the future, study about the reason of non-using oral hygiene products, and more concrete method for improving their behavior would be needed.
In 2001, as a subject of this study, the first grade 165 kids in Yomju elementary school had been guided in pit and fissure sealant, fluoride rinse, group tooth brushing, and Dental health education as a part of oral disease preventive program. From the data, this author has estimated incremental dental health care program in school dental clinic in order to make it more effective and enlarge it. For that purpose, the program has been continued at six month intervals for two years. The retention condition of pit and fissure sealant in first molar and DMF rate had been investigated. The conclusions are as follows: 1. Full and partial retention of pit and fissure sealant was measured as 80.69% in maxillary right first molar, 83.20% in maxillary left first molar, and 86.72% in mandibular right first molar, and 86.28% in mandibular left first molar. 2. Retention of pit and fissure sealant in first molar was measured as 76.55% in maxillary right first molar, 81.03% in maxillary left first molar, 80.65% in mandibular left first molar, and 82.03% in mandibular right first molar. 3. Among Yomju elementary school students, DMF rate was measured as 8.7%, and DMFT index as 1.03. However, in Yangdong elementary school students the former was measured as 13.8% and the latter as 1.76. When the DMF rate difference between Yomju and Yangdong elementary school kids was considered, the oral health condition of the former was much better than that of the latter because the former had received incremental dental health care program for two years and on the other hand, the latter had not. So it is necessary that we should enlarge school dental clinic, improve and keep students' oral health.

This study investigated underwear consumption behavior of women, who were 20∼59 years old and resided in Incheon during 2002 summer. 372 women completed questionnaires, and data were analyzed using factor analyses, t-test, ANOVA, $\chi$$^2$-analyses. They usually purchased underwear considering comfort and economic factor at a discount store. They wore sleeveless T-shirts, but they didn't wear underpants except panties highly all the year round. Higher rate of them wore pantyhose instead of underpants during autumn, winter and spring. They demanded unstitching of stitches and lengthened sleeves in most of the groups. And older and lowly educated women group wanted widen armhole of upper underwear, and tighten waistband of panties. They generally washed in washing machine using cold water. Besides they added oxygen bleach and softner during wash and final rinse. Older than 20's boil their underwear frequently. The women in a group of boiling commonly answered the looseness of waistband. It is recommended not to boil but to soak with bleach added warm water for improving the whiteness and durability of underwear. For a treatment with higher temperature deprives the elasticity of spandex.

Several alternatives for increasing the fluoride concentration in the mouth, such as water fluoridation, ingestion of fluoride supplements, fluoride paste, fluoride mouthrinse, application of fluoride gel are available. There is an impressive body of evidence that the topically deliverd fluorides are clinically effective in inhibiting the progression of dental caries. Recent studies on the cariostatic action of fluoride have indicated the importance of fluoride in the fluid environment of the teeth. The fluoride levels in unstimulated whole saliva can be considered indicative of F in the aqueous phase available for interaction with the tooth surface at a given time. The retention of F in the mouth after topical fluoride treatment is considered to be an important factor in the clinical efficacy of F. The aim of this study was to determine the elevation and clearance of fluoride in whole saliv after the following topical flouride treatments using HMDS-diffusion technique and fluoride ion electrode. The obtained results were as follow: 1. Average salivary fluoride concentration in the unstimulated whole saliva was $0.0152ppm{\pm}0.0091ppm$. Unstimulated salivary flow rate was between 0.34-0.36ml/min and there was no statistically significant difference among the groups(p>0.05). 2. Except for the immediate time after treatment, fluoride levels followed as APF gel>neutral gel>F-rinse>F-paste. There was no statistical difference between the salivary F concentration of F-paste group and that of control group after 2 hours. In case of F-rinse group, after 3 hours the concentration had dropped to baseline value. But there was statistically significant difference among the F concentraion of F gel groups and that of control group(p<0.05). 3. The mean $AUC_{0-120min}$ values were followed as neutral gel>APF gel>F-rinse>F-paste, and the values of the two former groups were significantly higher than those of the two latter groups(p<0.05).
In this study, PSA, known as the most economic process, was used to recover $CO_2$ from the power-plant flue gas. Activated carbon and zeolite molecular sieve 13X were used as adsorbent. Activated carbon has been deemed inadequated adsorbent for separating $CO_2$ from the flue gas. However, highly concentrated $CO_2$ could be obtained as a product on the activated carbon adsorbent using the new operating cycle modifying the rinse step. Also, the recovery of $CO_2$ was improved using double-layered adsorption column packed with the activated carbon and the zeolite 13X simultaneously. Adsorption column was filled with the activated carbon in the feed-end side, and the zeolite 13X in the product-end side. The recovery of $CO_2$ increased about 40% with only 25% zeolite, and increased 67% with 50% zeolite at the experimental conditions of 13% $CO_2$ concentration, 10 SLPM flow rate and 2.2 atm adsorption pressure.
The reuse of wastewater is being diffused to manage and develop the water resources. Generally, the treated wastewater is discharged to the river after being treated to meet the effluent quality standard or reused for diverse uses through the reprocessing. And recently, as the reuse of the treated wastewater is activated, the technologies to utilize for the high quality water resources such as industrial water by reusing the wastewater with Membrane Distillation (MD) are under development. In this study, the direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) process has been applied to treat sewage discharge water for water reuse. The laboratory scale experiment was performed by using a hydrophobic PVDF membrane with the pore size of $0.22{\mu}m$. The influence of operating parameters, such as feed temperature, feed flow rate, feed concentration, on the permeate flux and rejection has been investigated. All filtration tests were conducted till the feed volume reached a concentration factor of 3.0. Thus, the operating period ranged between 19 hr and 49 hr depending on filtration performance. The results showed that above 92% of TN, TP, COD and TOC in the feed could be rejected regardless of an operating condition. The water flux was ranged from 13.8 to 20.3 LMH. The lowest flux was obtained at the operating condition with the feed temperature of $50^{\circ}C$ and feed flow velocity of 500 mL/min while the highest one was measured with $60^{\circ}C$ and 900 mL/min. When the concentration factor reached 3.0, water flux declined by approximately ranged from 14.5% to 33.3%. But the fouling in MD is almost fully reversible, with more than 90% recovery of permeate water flux following a DI water rinse without the addition of chemical cleaning reagents.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of wetting condition made by drying time on bonding of resin cement to dentin. Freshly extracted bovine teeth were grinded to expose flat dentin surfaces. After the exposed dentin surfaces were treated with pretreatment agents and water rinse, each wetting condition of dentin surfaces was made according to drying times and methods including slight blow bry for I-second by air syringe, blow dry for 20-second by air syringe, and 12-hour dry in desiccator respectively. and then, previously made composite resin specimens were bonded onto each conditioned dentin surface of the specimen using Panavia-21(Kuraray Co.), Bistite(Tokuso Co.), and Choice(use with All bond-2, Bisco Inc.) resin cement according as manufacturer's instruction. Bonded specimens were stored in $37^{\circ}C$ distilled water for 24 hours, then the tensile bond strength was measured, cohesive failure rate was calculated, and fractured dentin surfaces and acrylic rod sides were examined under scanning electron microscope. The result were as follows ; In the group of bonding with Panavia-21 resin cement, higher tensile bond strength was seen in 12-hour dry group than in I-second and 20-second dry group(p<0.01). In the group of bonding with Bistite resin cement, higher tensile bond strength was seen in 1-second dry group than in 20-second and 12-hour dry group(p<0.01). In the group of bonding with Choice resin cement, no significant differences of bond strength under given drying time were seen. Cohesive failure rates derived from the groups of bonding with Panavia-21 and Choice resin cement were increased with the increase of tensile bond strength in each drying time. On SEM examination of fractured surface, adhesive failure mode with fractured resin tags was mostly seen in wet condition with I-second drying time in the group of bonding with Panavia-21 resin cement, mixed failure mode with shortened and fractured resin tag was seen in the group of bonding with Bistite resin cement, and regardless of drying time, and cohesive-adhesive mixed failure mode with fracture of 'Hollow' typed resin tags was mainly seen in the group of bonding with Choice resin cement.

This study examined PCB component cleaning on a PCB component surface, which has defects of precipitation type washing (existing rinse method), sealant and foreign material formed in the adhesive process that could not be removed easily. The spin jig was developed for PCB component cleaning, in which the PCB component settled down, to solve the conventional problem of the removal of foreign material with the centrifugal force by high speed rotation. The results are as follows. With decreasing fraction defect in PCB component washing, the development and substrate damage decreased by more than 80% according to the abstergent in the rotary type using the centrifugal force in the existing precipitation type. When the base plate showed a large difference with the time to include the process after washing the design using the existing method, easy attachment and separation of the PCB component could be possible. The washing time was enhanced 90% compared to the existing time. The reliability of the security and washing collaboration of the design and stability of the cleaning process could be secured so that there was no phenomenon of secession, the PCB component fixed for a cleansing rotation jig could maintain a fixed force by the centrifugal force. The stability and reliability of the washing process and the defective rate could be improved to less than 1%.

The aim of this study was to measure the dentinal tubular fluid flow (DFF) during and after amalgam and composite restorations. A newly designed fluid flow measurement instrument was made. A third molar cut at 3 mm apical from the CEJ was connected to the flow measuring device under a hydrostatic pressure of 15 $cmH_2O$. Class I cavity was prepared and restored with either amalgam (Copalite varnish and Bestaloy) or composite (Z-250 with ScotchBond MultiPurpose: MP, Single Bond 2: SB, Clearfil SE Bond: CE and Easy Bond: EB as bonding systems). The DFF was measured from the intact tooth state through restoration procedures to 30 minutes after restoration, and re-measured at 3 and 7days after restoration. Inward fluid flow (IF) during cavity preparation was followed by outward flow (OF) after preparation, In amalgam restoration, the OF changed to IF during amalgam filling and slight OF followed after finishing. In composite restoration, application CE and EB showed a continuous OF and air-dry increased rapidly the OF until light-curing, whereas in MP and SB, rinse and dry caused IF and OF, respectively. Application of hydrophobic bonding resin in MP and CE caused a decrease in flow rate or even slight IF. Light-curing of adhesive and composite showed an abrupt IF. There was no statistically significant difference in the reduction of DFF among the materials at 30 min. 3 and 7 days after restoration (p > 0.05).
