직교 주파수 분할 다중(OFDM) 시스템에서 반송파 위상 최적화 기반의 사이드로브 억압 기법 (Sidelobe Suppression Technique in OFDM System Based on Phase Optimization of Subcarriers)

  • We propose a phase optimization technique for sidelobe suppression in OFDM system. The technique is based on idea that phase shift to some of the transmit symbols within the symbol constellation plane can lead to significant sidelobe suppression. The sidelobes are reduced by optimizing using iterative method the phases of some subcarriers on the left and right hand side of the used OFDM spectrum. The proposed technique requires a small amount of side information that needs to be transmitted. Simulation results show that the proposed technique can reduce the sidelobes by significant amount.

절화장미 시설하우스에서 방제 작업시 농약의 피부노출 특성 (The characteristics of farmer's dermal exposure during pesticide spraying and dilution in cut rose greenhouse)

  • This study was conducted in cut rose cultivation field in Goyang to evaluate pesticide exposure of farmers and the relationship between the exposure and work environment/method for cut rose farmers. Dermal exposure was assessed with patch (thin chromatography layer paper), cotton glove by body parts during mixing and spraying works in which pyrethroid, organophosphate, carbamate pesticide were used in 4 cut rose greenhouses located in Goyang province, checking characteristics of environment/working method at the same time. Body parts assessed were as follows ; glove : hand, patch : head, neck(front/back), chest, back, shoulder(right/left), upperarm(right/left), forearm(right/left), thigh(right/left), shin(right/left). Pesticides were analyzed using gas chromatography(NPD/FID) after extracting with ethyl acetate. Exposure amount differed according to pesticide type. But after standardizing with total net weight of pesticide sprayed, there were no significant difference among pesticides. There were significant difference in exposure amount among body parts(especially exposure amount of thigh, shin were more than the others), which means exposure happen not by pesticide dispersion in air but by contact with cut rose(leaf, branch) indirectly. Walking forward during spraying made farmers more exposed than waling backward, these results means contacts with leaves/branches made exposure happen in cut rose greenhouse also. As a result, pesticide exposure in cut rose greenhouse was related with contact of leaf/branch which pesticide remained in, which made exposure pattern (especially exposure amount) differ by body parts

동일한 영상자극을 이용한 장조음악과 단조음악에 의해 유발된 뇌 활성화의 차이 : fMRI 연구 (An fMRI Study on the Differences in the Brain Regions Activated by an Identical Audio-Visual Clip Using Major and Minor Key Arrangements)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in the brain activation evoked by music arranged in major and minor key used with an identical motion film during the fMRI testing. A part of the audio-visual combinations composed by Iwamiya and Sano were used for the study stimuli. This audio- visual clip was originally developed by combining a small motion segment of the animation "The Snowman" and music arranged in both major and minor key from the original jazz music "Avalon" rewritten in a classical style. Twenty-seven Japanese male graduate and undergraduate students participated in the study. Brain regions more activated by the major key than the minor key when presented with the identical motion film were the left cerebellum, the right fusiform gyrus, the right superior occipital, the left superior orbito frontal, the right pallidum, the left precuneus, and the bilateral thalamus. On the other hand, brain regions more activated by the minor key than the major key when presented with the identical motion film were the right medial frontal, the left inferior orbito frontal, the bilateral superior parietal, the left postcentral, and the right precuneus. The study showed a difference in brain regions activated between the two different stimulus (i.e., major key and minor key) controlling for the visual aspect of the experiment. These findings imply that our brain systematically generates differently in the way it processes music written in major and minor key(Supported by the User Science Institute of Kyushu University, Japan and the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation).

골프 클럽에 따른 타격자세의 변화 (Changes of Impact Variables by the Change of Golf Club Length)

  • To know the proper impact posture and changes for the various clubs, changes of impact variables according to the change of golf club length was investigated. Swing motions of three male low handicappers including a professional were taken using two high-speed video cameras. Four clubs iron 7, iron 5, iron 3 and driver (wood 1) were selected for this experiment. Three dimensional motion analysis techniques were used to get the kinematical variables. Mathcad and Kwon3D motion analysis program were used to analyze the position, distance and angle data in three dimensions. Major findings of this study were as follows. 1. Lateral position of the head remained more right side of the target up to 3.5cm compared to the setup as the length of the club increased. 2. Left shoulder raised up to 5cm and right shoulder lowered up to 2.5cm compared to setup. The shoulder line opened slightly (maximum 11 degrees) to the target line. 3. Forward lean angle of the trunk decreased up to 4 degrees (more erected) compared to setup. 4. Side lean angle of the trunk increased compared to setup and increased up to 16 degrees as the club length increased. 5. The pelvis moved to the target line direction horizontally and opened up to 31 degrees. Right hip moves laterally to the grip position at the setup. 6. Flexion of the left leg maintained almost constantly but the right leg flexed up to 11 degrees compared to setup. 7. Left arm is straightened but the right arm flexed about 20degrees compared to straight. 8. Center of the shoulders were in front of the knees and toes of the feet. 9. Hands moved to the left (8.7cm), forward (5.7cm) and upward (11.6cm) compared to the setup. This is because of the rotation of pelvis and shoulders. 10. Shaft angle to the ground was smaller than the lie angle of the clubs but it increased close to the lie of the clubs at impact.

볼링투구동작의 운동역학적 분석(II) (Mechanical Analysis of throw motion in Bowling)

  • The purpose of this study was defined efficient throw motion pattern to obtain the quantitative data and to achieve successful bowling through kinetic - kinematic variables on the throw motion. Subject of group composed of three groups : Higher bowlers who are two representative bowlers with 200 average points and one pro-bowler. Middle bowlers who are three common persons with 170 average points. Lower bowler who are three common persons with 150 average points. Motion analysis on throw motion in three groups respectively has been made through three-dimension cinematography using DLT method. Two high-speed video camera at operating 180 frame per secondary. One-way ANOVA has been used to define variable relations. Analyzed result and conclusion are the following : The displacement of back of the hand must have wider difference of each right-left displacement to increase the spin of the ball. In high bowlers group, difference between the front-rear position of back of the hand in case of success and that in case of failure in follow throw is 0.17m. That is to say, momentum in case of success come to increase greatly, compared with that in case of failure. To increase the spin of the ball, the potential difference should be narrower in follow through. In case of the high bowlers, the velocity of the front-rear direction of the back of the hand has been the fastest both in release and follow through, compared with those in other groups, which has contributed to increasing the spin force of the ball. The orders in the resultant velocity of the back of the hand has shown the this : the finger tip$\rightarrow$the back of the hand$\rightarrow$wrist.These orders made the proximal segment support the distal segment. The distal segment has provided the condition to accelerate the velocity. In case of failure, the suddenly increased velocity has caused the failure in the follow through. Acutely flexing the angle of the back of the hand has contributed to lifting to increase the spin of the ball.

스테레오 카메라를 이용한 이동객체의 실시간 추적과 거리 측정 시스템 (Real-time moving object tracking and distance measurement system using stereo camera)

  • 본 논문에서는 스테레오 카메라로부터 획득된 좌우 영상을 이용하여 3차원 공간좌표(x, y, z)를 획득하고, 이를 이용하여 제어되는 가상공간을 통하여 사용자에게 현실감을 제공하는 실시간 시스템을 구현한다. 일반적으로 관심영역의 변이를 추정할 때 관심영역내의 모든 화소(pixel)의 변이를 추정하지만, 제안한 시스템에서는 관심영역의 2차원 중심좌표(x, y)만을 변이추정에 사용하여 실시간으로 변이를 추정한다. 추정된 변이로부터 깊이정보(depth)를 구하여 관심영역의 3차원 공간좌표를 획득한다. 시스템은 손을 관심영역으로 설정하여 실시간으로 손의 움직임 정보를 획득하고, 가상공간(virtual space)에 적용하여 사용자가 가상공간을 조작할 수 있도록 한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 실시간 시스템이 150cm 거리(distance) 내에서의 깊이측정 시 0.68cm의 평균오차를 가지고 손동작 인식률은 90%이상 보이는 것을 검증하였다.

의복 안감의 역학적 특성 및 태 평가 (A Study on the Mechanical and Hand Properties of the Lining Fabrics)

  • This study is to evaluate the objective sensibility of the commercial lining fabrics. Five kinds of the linings were collected by adding taffetas with four kinds of fibers (polyester, nylon, rayon, and acetate) to one polyester stretch fabric. The six basic mechanical and hand properties were studied by using KES-FB system (Kawabata Evaluation System). The result of measuring the mechanical properties shows that polyester has high bending rigidity (B), that polyester-stretch has a high value of linearity of load-extension curve (LT), tensile energy (WT), tensile resilience (RT), and coefficient of friction (MIU) and a low value of bending rigidity(B), shear property, and geometrical roughness (SMD). The nylon has a high value of bending rigidity (B), shear property, and compression resilience (RC). The rayon has a high value of coefficient of friction (MIU) and linearity of compression-thickness curve (LC) and a low value of shear property, and the acetate has a low value of shear property. The result of hand value shows that polyester, nylon, and acetate are a high value of KOSHI (stiffness), NUMERI (smoothness), and FUKURAM (fullness & softness), and they feel stiff and massive, that rayon has a low value of NUMERI and FUKURAMI. The total result of hand value shows that polyester taffeta and polyester stretch fabric are about the same as the best material for the lining of a woman's dress for spring and summer, and the next thing is acetate, but nylon and rayon are somewhat inferior materials. This provides a fundamental data for the comfortable clothing production of a higher value-added product through the study on the mechanical and hand properties of the lining as well as the right side of fabrics.

페인트 신나에 의한 수지 고압 손상의 경험 (High-Pressure Finger Injection Injury Caused by Paint Thinner: Case Report)

  • Purpose: High-pressure injection(HPI) injury is an injury caused by accidental injection of substances by industrial equipment. HPI injury of the hand is a serious injury that can be potentially devastating. There have been a number of publications on the results of its treatment and its functional outcome of these hands. Unfortunately, the clinical outcomes were unsatisfactory following an initial treatment approach of digital expression of the injection material, elevation, soaks, dressing changes, and antibiotics. Methods: A 43-year-old right handed man sustained a high pressure injection injury to the tip of the left index finger. The injected material was industrial paint thinner. Tissue necrosis was noted at the pulp of the finger. Several debridements and irrigation were required. A pedicled chest flap transfer was performed on the eighteenth day after injury as the dorsal nail complex remained viable. This is a retrospective review of our experience with high-pressure finger injection injury caused by paint. A literature review, retrospective chart and radiologic review were presented. Results: Follow-up length was about 1 year. The injuried hand was left nondominant hand, the index. Patient complaints were cold intolerance, paresthesia, contact pain, and impairment of activities of daily living. Conclusion: The outcome of high-pressure injection injuries of the hand is affected by many factors. The time between injury and operative treatment has been regarded as a key determinant by a number of authors. The nature of the injected material is probably more important. It has been noted by many authors that injuries with paints have a worse outcome than those with oil or grease. This study confirms the fact that high-pressure injection injury caused by paint thinner to the hand is a significant problem. Virtually a patient suffers sequelae of this injury. The injury has significant repercussions for future function and reintegration into the work force.

펄스자기장 자극에 의한 손의 적혈구 형태학적 변화 (Change in Rouleau Formation of Red Blood Cells by Pulse Magnetic Field Stimulus in the Hand)

  • 최대 0.27 T 세기와 0.102 ms 펄스시간을 가지는 자기장 자극시스템을 이용하여 손에 인가한 후에 생혈액 분석을 통해 말초혈관에 흐르는 적혈구의 형태학적 변화를 조사하였다. 펄스자기장 자극 전 피실험자의 적혈구는 10여개 이상씩 서로 붙어있는 연전형성(連錢形成, rouleau formation)이 일어나서 적혈구의 움직임이 느려졌으나, 손에 10분간 자기장 인가한 후에 연전형성이 되었던 적혈구가 대부분 떨어져서 독립적인 움직임을 보이면서 운동이 활발해졌다. 또한 왼쪽 손에 펄스자기장을 10분 자극한 후에 자극받지 않은 오른쪽 손에서 채혈했을 때에도 연전현상이 똑같이 개선되었다. 이는 혈류흐름에 의해 체내에 모든 적혈구의 연전현상이 개선된 것으로 판단할 수 있다.

운동유무에 따른 양측 대퇴골 골밀도 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study of both Femurs Bone Densitometry's Difference for Exercise)

  • 자주 사용하는 발에 상관없이 좌측 대퇴골밀도 측정만으로 골밀도 정보가 충분한지에 대해 알아보기 위해 발의 사용빈도가 운동과 관련이 있다는 가정하에 오른손잡이, 왼손잡이로 나누어 운동여부에 따른 양측 대퇴골밀도 차이에 관해 연구를 하였다. 2008년 7월부터 8월까지 본원건강증진센터를 내원한 30세 이상 70세 이하($51{\pm}6.7$세)의 수검자 229 명(여성 146명, 남성 83명)을 대상으로 자주 사용하는 손과 평상시 운동여부를 설문지 방식으로 조사하였고, 검사는 DXA (Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry) 방식 GE Lunar Prodigy advance장비를 이용해 양측 대퇴부위를 측정하였으며, 측정된 값의 평균을 구하여 차이를 비교해 SPSS 12.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 운동여부를 고려하지 않고 양측 대퇴부위의 차이를 비교해 보았을 때 오른손잡이(n= 209)의 양측 대퇴골밀도 값의 차이는 neck (t=-0.15), total (t=-0.12), 왼손잡이(n=20)는 neck (t=-0.76), total (t=0.02)로 오른손잡이, 왼손잡이 모두 통계상양측의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 운동을 한 집단으로 나누어 조사해 보니 오른손잡이(n=114)는 neck (t=0.56), total (t=0.65), 왼손잡이(n=13)는 neck (t=-0.13), total (t=-0.39)로 두 그룹 모두 통계상 양측의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 운동을 안 한 집단의 양측 대퇴부위의 차이 조사해 보니 오른손잡이(n=95)는 neck (t=-0.80), total (t=-0.78), 왼손잡이(n=7)는 neck (t=0.25), total (t=-0.64)로 세 집단에서 모두가 오른손잡이, 왼손잡이 상관없이 좌우측의 대퇴골밀도의 값이 통계상으로 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 현대인들은 운동량이 부족한 생활방식에 익숙해져 있기도 하지만 평소 운동을 규칙적으로 행하는 사람들도 많기 때문에 두 집단의 차이에 대한 연구가 필요하였는데, 이들 모두 양측 대퇴골밀도의 차이는 오른손잡이, 왼손잡이냐에 상관없이 통계상 값의 의미 있는 차이는 없었다. 따라서 대퇴골밀도의 측정 시 자주 사용하는 손에 대한 위치나 운동여부에 상관없이 현재 방식대로 좌측 대퇴부를 측정하여 골밀도 검사를 실행하는 것이 옳을 것으로 생각된다. 다만 수술과 같은 특수한 경우에는 우측을 검사해야 할 것이다.
