Test scenarios can be derived based on some system models for requirements validation purposes. Model-based test suite reduction aims to provide a smaller set of test scenarios which can preserve the original test coverage with respect to some testing criteria. We are proposing to apply Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) in analyzing the association between a set of test scenarios and a set of transitions specified in a state machine model. By utilizing the properties of concept lattice, we are able to determine incrementally a minimal set of test scenarios with adequate test coverage.

Action learning motivates students to solve open-ended problems by 'developing skills through doing'. This paper reviews the concept of action learning and discusses the adoption of action learning approach to teach operations management at universities. It presents the design and delivery of an action-learning course at City University of Hong Kong. The course incorporates classroom lectures, tutorials and an action-learning workshop. The experience gained proves that action learning facilitates student participation and teamwork and provides a venue of accelerating learning where enables students to handle dynamic problem situations more effectively. The paper concludes that adopting action-learning approach can help lecturers to enhance quality teaching in operations management courses, and provide an alternate means of effective paradigm other than traditional classroom teaching and/or computer-based training at universities.

상용 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS(ver5.8)를 이용하여 전단력을 받는 더블앵글 접합부의 3D 해석을 수행하여 접합부의 모멘트-회전 관계곡선을 구하고 앵글과 볼트의 응력분포를 관찰한다. 해석시 주요 매개변수로는 볼트수, 게이지거리, 앵글의 두께로 하였으며 유한요소해석 결과로 구한 모멘트-회전곡선을 Richard가 제시한 예측식에 적용한 후 회귀분석을 통하여 접합부 거동을 예측하는 데 필요한 매개변수인 초기강성, 소성강성, 참조모멘트, 곡선형태변수를 구한다. 또한 매개변수들이 게이지거리, 앵글의 두께 및 볼트 수 변화에 따른 그래프를 작성하고 또한 이 그래프를 이용하여 접합부의 모멘트 및 LRFD의 접합부 분류에 따른 소성모멘트에 대한 접합부 모멘트의 비를 계산한다.

Background: This study aimed to seek insights into Chinese women's lay beliefs about cervical cancer causal attributions and prevention. Materials and Methods: Twenty-three new immigrant adult women from Mainland China and thirty-five Hong Kong adult women underwent semi-structured in-depth interviews. Interviews were audio taped, transcribed and analyzed using a Grounded Theory approach. Results: This study generated three foci: causal beliefs about cervical cancer, perceived risk of cervical cancer, and beliefs about cervical cancer prevention. Personal risky practices, contaminated food and environment pollution were perceived as the primary causes of cervical cancer. New immigrant women more likely attributed cervical cancer to external factors. Most participants perceived cervical cancer as an important common fatal female cancer with increased risk/prevalence. Many participants, particularly new immigrant women participants, expressed helplessness about cervical cancer prevention due to lack of knowledge of prevention, it being perceived as beyond individual control. Many new immigrant participants had never undergone regular cervical screening while almost all Hong Kong participants had done so. Conclusions: Some Chinese women hold pessimistic beliefs about cervical cancer prevention with inadequate knowledge about risk factors. Future cervical cancer prevention programs should provide more information and include capacity building to increase Chinese women's knowledge and self-efficacy towards cervical cancer prevention.

1980년에서 1983년까지 4년동안 한국연안 13개 지역의 93개의 지점으로부터 채집된 한국산 군부류 중 털군부(Suborder Acanthochitonina) 에 대한 분류학적 연구 결과, 2과 3속 8종이 동정되었으며 이를 기재하였다. 그 중 Acanthochitona byungdoni와 Notoplax (Notoplax) kaasi 두 종은 신종으로 기재한다.

The UBV observations of the Brightest RS CVn-type eclipsing binary star AR Lac were made at four observatories, two in Korean and two in the U.S. in the 1980-81 and 1981-82 seasons. As a result of the cooperation, two light curves in the yellow and in the blue were completed for each observing seasons. Ultraviolet observations were also made at three of the four observatories. The orbital period of AR Lac apparantly decreased around 1977. An analysis of our yellow light curves together with five other yellow curves available in the literature since 1975 shows that there seems no periodicity in the migration of the distortion waves. There is a gradual decrease of at least 0.m1 between 1976 and 1982 in the brightness of the cooler component if one assumes that the hotter component is constant.
