The purpose of this study is to examine the design characteristic of the facade of the main adminstration building in university. The main administration building which is a basic of educational facilities has various administration setups, such as the register's office, the student affairs section, the planing department, the general affair's office and so on. This building performs academic, administration, facilities management, and admissions service. Also, the building has an ideological, historical, and symbolic image, having an organic relationships with the other educational facilities. This study choose one hundred seven universities, except universities that does not provide information easily and the second campus which does not have the main administration building, as the subjects of the study. The analysis is derived from the design elements applied to facade design of the main administration building and this is divided into design principles(balance symmetry, contrast, rhythm), the formal composition(geometrical, linear), and the style of architecture(classical architecture and modern architecture). The results of the research are summarized as follows: The design characteristic of the facade of the main adminstration building in university has chronologically changed. First of all, in the 1940's, symmetry emphasized on the center of building, superimposition, division, pediment, and arch were marked. Then, superimposition was prominent in the 1950's and symmetry emphasized on the center of building was shown in the 1960s again. Flat roof was in the 1970's, 1990s and 2000's. Finally, pediment was dominant in the 1980's. The design elements of the main administration building can be samples of chronological styles of architecture. Facade design, with proper design of the past and recent times, includes the meaning that achieve the great purpose of the university by emphasizing visual images.

We employed a method eliminating a temporally partial principal component (PC) of multichannel-recorded neuromagnetic fields for excluding spatially correlated noises from event-evoked signals. The noises in magnetoencephalography (MEG) are considered to be mainly spontaneous neuromagnetic fields which are spatially correlated. In conventional MEG experiments, the amplitude of the spontaneous neuromagnetic field is much lager than that of the evoked signal and the synchronized characteristics of the correlated rhythmic noise makes it possible for us to extract the correlation noises from the evoked signal by means of the general PC analysis. However, the whole-time PC of the fields still contains a little projection component of the evoked signal and the elimination of the PC results in the distortion of the evoked signal. Especially, the distortion will not be negligible when the amplitude of the evoked signal is relatively large or when the evoked signals have a spatially-asymmetrical distribution which does not cancel out the corresponding elements of the covariance matrix. In the period of prestimulus, there are only the spontaneous fields and we can find the pure noise PC that is not including the evoked signal. Besides that, we propose a method, called the extended temporal decorrelation method (ETDM), to suppress the distortion of the noise PC from remanent evoked signal components. In this study, we applied the Partial Principal component elimination method (PPCE) and ETDM to simulated signals and the auditory evoked signals that had been obtained with our homemade 37-channel magnetometer-based SQUID system. We demonstrate here that PPCE and ETDM reduce the number of epochs required in averaging to about half of that required in conventional averaging.
In this paper we compared waldorf education with korean public education in the area of teaching the numbers form 0 to 10. We took several characters of both. The korean education style has the characters like separation of 0~9 and 10, teaching of the meaning of ordinal numbers and cardinal numbers, use of storytelling. The waldorf education style has the characters like teaching of the qualitive meaning of numbers, use of storytelling, meeting numners in rhythm, teaching from whole to part.
The purpose of this paper is to study on the architecture and extension project for the Church of St. Lorenzo. This study is composed of a through analysis of the extension elements on the church building and extension type for extension project of the Church of St. Lorenzo. The results of study are as follows: 1. The extension project for the Church of St. Lorenzo was basically consisted of the concept of a horizontal extension plan through both the interior and exterior space of the church building. This project was the plan of concept of additional or affixing extension through existing spaces with necessary spaces to make up for the previous simple space and form as well as functional aspect. 2. The unit spaces of the nave, the aisle, the small chapels bilaterally adorning the aisles, the transept and the chapels around transepts, and the sacristies by the extension project for the Church of St. Lorenzo is composed of regulation, balance and harmony as geometric space composition according to simple proportion system on whole and parts as well as parts and parts, through the definite articulation by each space zoning. 3. The most important innovative aspect different to previous churches in the extension project for the Church of St. Lorenzo is the compositive system of each other symmetrical spaces through long centrical axis of central part, applying the module system for horizontal arrangement. In particular, the use of regular module on repetition and proportion of rhythm from architectural composition system was precisely composed with the alter that consists of visual focus to express more accurate perspective.
The purpose of this study is to explore ways toward the hat design development by looking into the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the works of Philip Treacy, the designer who raised hats to one of the important fashion accessories. This study concretely investigates the formative characteristics of Treacy's hats in terms of shapes, materials, colours and decorations. According to this study, the shape of his hats shows the natural and specific objects in three dimensions, not in basic shape of hats. He uses combination of a variety of materials, adding unique materials to existing ones, so that they not only create a specific atmosphere but also extend the limitation which used to be thought as materials for hats. In the field of colour, he mainly used black and white until 1999, but since 2000 he has been using vivid and splendid colors. And he uses feathers or nets for decorations of the hats. As the result of the comprehensive analysis of Treacy's works, this study characterizes his works by surrealistic, three-dimensional, rhythmic and future-oriented. Therefore, Philip Treacy's hat design can be defined three dimensional considering the formative beauty, and can be characterized by use of unique materials, vivid & bold colours, moderate decorations, f variety of lines, and asymmetrical structures. These characteristics show surrealistic, three-dimensional and futuristic message which rhythm can be felt. He presents unlimited capability in hat designs as a representative of human being's basic will for creating new ones beyond this real world. It is considered that this study can help broaden the limitation of the hat design which used to repeat simple forms in the Past and help explore ways for developmental direction of hat design in the future.

The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between female college students' stress level and premenstrual syndrome so that it can provide baseline data on how to cope with the syndrome. The study subjects are 250 female college students in Gyungbook area. This study chose 199 appropriate subjects and collected data. As per general menstrual phases, this study investigated the age when one had her first period, regularity and duration of period, and amount of bleeding. It used a measurement tool to measure stress level and premenstrual syndrome. Most of the subjects experienced their first period before the age of 13. The menstrual period was irregular with the duration of less than 7 days. 123 subjects had normal amount of bleeding. 121 subjects were experiencing high level of stress over 2.4. The correlation between the level of stress and premenstrual syndrome factors showed significant static correlation for each factor. Especially, the correlation between digestive system and response of autonomic nervous system was .996 and negative emotion and behavioral change was .635, and negative emotion and pain was .614 which were relatively high. The regression analysis of factors of premenstrual syndrome depending on the subjects' stress level indicated that response of autonomic nervous system had the biggest effect in the low stress group while behavioral change, negative emotion, pain, decreased concentration, water congestion, response of autonomic nervous system, and skin change had the biggest effect in the high stress group with statistical significance. Based on the result, it can be said that higher premenstrual stress is closely related to the premenstrual syndrome one experiences for some female college students.
Just as the name 'aesthetics' implies, the meaning of 'aisthesis' or 'sense' in Greek, is perceived as an important element in modern social design. Gilles Deleuze emphasized sensory expression over the rational side of the body, and argued for sensory theory, which is the theory of how painting produces new senses. The purpose of this study was to theoretically examine the sensory theory of Deleuze, which has given new value to the senses, apply it to analyze the body expression method shown in the Iris van Herpen collection, and derive its aesthetic characteristics. In his sensory theory, Deleuze argued that the senses can be expressed by the embodiment of force and rhythm, and one can only create art through the senses. To develop one's philosophical logic through Bacon's painting, we divided it into Hysteria, Cops sans organs, Diagram, Becoming, and Paired figures. Based on these analyses, the visualization of the senses in Iris van Herpen fashion resulted in hysteria, organ-free body, diagrams, and heterogeneity combinations. Analysis of the method of expression revealed rhythmicity, atypicality, scalability, and reproducibility as expression characteristics. Applying Deleuze's sensory theory to access experimental Iris van Herpen's fashion could confirm that there was an open system's accessibility. Deleuze's sensory theory, which has given a new value to the senses, will further help to understand modern fashion design in a wide and diverse way and discover the intrinsic value within it.
This study aims at identifying the physical, emotional effect on dance education by using "Dance Central" among Xbox-360 Games. In order to achieve the target, this study adopts case study methodology through Dance Central program among qualitative methods. The participants of this study were 8 adults who do not have experienced dance games from a homogeneous group composed of persons into who are called the Net Generation. The period of this study was from July 18, 2011 to August 14, 2011, during which the observation was conducted for 5 weeks. In total, 15 times of participant observation were made. Dance game experience Through data collection and analysis Participatory Video, self-reports, un-Structured interview, Observations. As a result of the study, the educational effect of aspects physical, emotional and the of dance game was analyzed into dance educational aspect. Educational effect on physical aspect was divided into subjects of 'preceded rhythm and familiarity of dance moves', 'changes by type of moves' and 'dance game requiring active physical activities'. Emotional learning effect was divided into subjects including, 'alleviation of stress'. 'changes of fun by stage and concentration' and 'dance game which has no risk of addiction'.
K-POP is getting population at the all over the world. K-POP is based on the hook song that made using repetitive lyrics and melody. The characteristics of the music is a bit simple and cheerful rhythm and melody easy to sing along, interesting lyrics and great dance skills. K-POP is spreading to various countries via various social networking services such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. K-POP dominated by the digital music market, showed a growing tendency to shorten the length of music, to create a music that can give a strong impression. And 60 second pre-listening function increased music used the chorus in the first part. But it was generated the result that made obscures the configuration of the music and the meaning of the lyrics. In this paper, we study the characteristics of K-POP music and will present three directions of the hook song music production. Finally, we compared to Kangnamstyle of Psy using the proposed three standards.
This study considers the modern expression of oriental esthetics by analyzing the fashion design with the Chinese ink technique based on the concept of Chi-Yun-Sheng-Tung, which was regarded as the best rule of art creation in oriental history. This study was performed by conducting a literature review of related books and advanced studies, and then, collection analysis was done with photos derived from fashion websites (seoulfashionweek.org, chinafashionweek.org, vogue.com, firstview. com) from 2010 S/S to 2016 S/S. A total of 317 fashion photos of designs created using the Chinese ink technique by Korean designers at Seoul Fashion Week and Chinese designers at China Fashion Week were analyzed. The contemporary fashions created with the Chinese ink technique were characterized by, first, the bold brush strokes and natural spreading effects of Chinese ink, second, the emphasis of empty space by taking essential elements, and third, the coexistence of deep Chinese ink colors with modern primary colors. The formativeness of the contemporary fashions created with Chinese ink technique based on Chi-Yun-Sheng-Tung were as follows: first, temperance, pursuing spiritual and minimal expression, second, empty space, making design elements interact and pursue harmony, third, changeable rhythm, symbolizing the growth and variation revealing the power of life, and fourth, vitality, represented in the rhythmical movement of the brush. This study was based on the oriental esthetics inherent in Chi-Yun-Sheng-Tung, and it attempted to analyze contemporary fashion design. The aim was to show the possibility of modern applications to traditional values, and it can be a meaningful case in design planning based on culture.
