  • Phosphomolybdic acid supported on silica gel (PMA-$SiO_2$) is an efficient catalyst for the activation of TMSCN for the facile cyanosilylation of various aldehydes. Cyano transfer from TMSCN to aldehyde proceeds smoothly at rt in presence of 0.8 mol % of PMA-$SiO_2$ leading to a range of cyanosilylether in excellent yield (mostly over 93%) within short reaction time (30 min). The catalyst can be recovered and reused several times without loss of activity.

  • Aromatic aldehydes are efficiently self-condensed into $\alpha$-hydroxy carbonyl compounds by polystyrene-supported ammonium cyanide as an excellent organocatalyst in C-C bond formation. The reaction proceeds in water under mild reaction conditions. The polymeric catalyst can be easily separated by filtration and reused several times without appreciable loss of activity.

  • The Suzuki cross-coupling reactions proceeded in excellent yields when it was catalyzed by magnetically recyclable nanocatalyst. This nanocatalyst provided very high catalytic activity with low loading level (1 mol %), because the palladium nanoparticles were so small in size (~2 nm) and located on the surface of the nanocomposite. It was also easily recovered from the reaction mixture using a magnet and reused for six consecutive cycles.

  • Recently, The sludge water of ready mixed concrete has been investigated because of environmental pollution and disposal cost. So, sludge water is partially reused as mixing water. However, if sludge water is reused too much that would influence the qualify of concrete. KS specification limits the amount of sludge content up to 3% of cement weight. In this study, the effect of ready mixed concrete sludge on the characteristics of concrete is compared to raise the reuse ratio of sludge of ready mixed concrete. According to this experiment results, as blending ratio of re-mi-con sludge increases, workability is decreases. However, the sludge of ready mixed concrete water have a positive effect on the strength development. The drying shrinkage and the resistance of freezing and thawing have a minor effect.

  • Statement of the problem : IPS Empress ceramic has been used as one of a esthetic restorative material since it's development, but the broad application of IPS Empress ceramic to clinical prosthodontic field has been limited by its high material cost. Purpose : This study was investigated to evaluate the hardness and fracture toughness after recycling of the IPS Empress ceramic. Material and methods : Reused specimens of IPS Empress were fabricated with repeated pressing. The hardness(Vickers hardness) and fracture toughness of 1st, 2nd and 3rd pressed specimens were measured with Digital Micro Hardness Tester(Model MXT70, Matsuzawa Seiki Co., Ltd, Tokyo, Japan). The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS(Ver 9.5). Result : The mean value of the hardness in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd pressed Empress were $6.23{\pm}0.48MPa,\;5.50{\pm}0.25MPa$, and $5.70{\pm}0.42MPa$. The hardness of the 1st pressing ceramic was higher than those or the 2nd and 3rd pressed ceramics(P<0.05). Hardness of the 3rd pressed ceramic was greater than that of the 2nd pressed ceramic. but there was no significant difference of hardness between those two(P>0.05). The mean value of the fracture toughness was $1.71{\pm}0.16MPam^{1/2}$ in 1st pressed ceramic, $1.78{\pm}0.10MPam^{1/2}$ in 2nd pressed and $1.73{\pm}0.14MPam^{1/2}$ in 3rd pressed IPS ceramic. Fracture toughness of the 2nd pressed ceramic was the highest and that of the 1st pressed ceramic was the lowest. There was no significant difference of fracture toughness among them(P>0.05). Conclusion : Hardness of the 2nd and 3rd pressed IPS Empress ceramics were lesser than that of 1st pressed IPS Empress ceramic(P<0.05), but there was no significant changes of fracture toughness among them(P>0.05).

  • News organizations are looking for a way that can be reused accumulated intellectual property in order to find a new insights. BBC is a worldwide media that continually enhances the value of the news articles by using Linked Data model. Thus, utilizing the Linked Data model, by reusing the stored articles, can significantly improve the value of news articles. In this paper, we conducted a study of Linked Data construction for the healthcare news from a newspaper company. The object names associated with medical description or connected to other published information have been constructed into Linked Open Data service. The results of the study are to systematically organize the news data that were accumulated rashly, and to provide the opportunity to find new insights that could not be found before by connecting to other published information. It may be able to contribute to reused news data. Finally, using SPARQL query language can contribute to interactively searched news data.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the shear bond strength for non-precious alloy castings without beryllium, which has been used repeatedly for economical reason. Methods: The Schmitz-Schulmeyer test method was used to evaluate the shear bond strength between the non-beryllium Ni-Cr alloy Vera Bond 2V(AlbaDent, Inc. USA) and the Ceramco 3(Dentstply, York, PA, USA) porcelain powder. The maximum loading and shear bond strength were measured. The average shear strength(MPa) was analyzed with the one-way ANOVA and the Tukey's test( =.05). The fracture specimens were examined using Microscope to determine the failure pattern. Results: The mean shear bond strengths(SD) in MPa were group A(100% new metal) control 28.72(3.31); group B(50% new + 50% reused) 27.28(1.13); group C(all reused) 26.61(5.47). Microscope examination showed that group A and B specimens presented mixed failure, and group C specimens showed adhesive failure. Conclusion: In conclusion, forward this non-precious alloy dose not contain beryllium for how should use a more systematic study and for future advanced research is performed giving effect to be considered desirable.

  • A Pseudomonas sp. strain NGK1 (NCIM 5120) capable of utilizing salicylate was immobilized in alginate and polyurethane foam (PUF). The degradation rate of salicylate by freely suspended cells was compared with the degradation rate by immobilized cells. In an initial 20 and 40 mM salicylate, free cells ($2{\times}10^{11}\;cfu\;ml^{-1}$) degraded to 16 and 14 mM, alginate-entrapped cells degraded to 18 and 26 mM, and PUF-entrapped cells degraded to 20 and 32 mM salicylate, respectively, in batch cultures. The alginate-and PUF-entrapped cells were used in repeated batch and continuous culture systems. The efficiency of both the immobilized systems f3r the degradation of salicylate was compared. It has been observed that the PUF-entrapped cells could be reused for more than 20 cycles whereas alginate-entrapped cells could be reused for a maximum of only 12 cycles, after which a decrease in degradation rat was observed with the initial 20 and 40 mM salicylate. The continuous degradation of sallcylate by freely suspended cells showed a negligible degradation rate of salicylate when compared with immobilized cells. With the immobilized cells in both alginate and polyurethane foam, the degradation rate increased with an increase in the dilution rate up to $2\;h^{-1}$ for 20 mM, and $1.5\;h^{-1}$ for 40 mM salicylate. The results revealed that PUF-entrapped cells were more efficient for the degradation of salicylate than alginate-entrapped cells and freely suspended cells.
