  • The objective of this study is to analyze the consumer perception of reusable wreath and present the considerations for introducing the labeling system, and to calculate the social benefits and costs of that. For this, We did an internet survey on the perceptions and willingness-to-pay for reuse wreath to 330 adults. As a result, only 56.1 percent of those who ordered wreath were found to check whether they actually arrived. 73.6% of the respondents had the willingness-to-purchase a reusable wreath if the price was reasonable, and 43.6% were in favor of labeling reused wreath as 'reused wreath'. The social benefits of introducing the reusable currency marking system are about 155,692 million won and the social cost about 43.52 million won. If reusable wreath are not recognized and purchased at the price of new one, economic and emotional losses of domestic horticulture farmers and consumers may occur. Therefore, related agencies will be able to expand sales of domestic flower producers and protect the economic and emotional benefits of consumers if they make efforts to establish and operate a reusable wreath labeling system.

  • Before entering 21st Century, modern medical science is requiring more precise display which is highly estimated in diagnostic value as radial science technology is achieving sharp development. And it is also trying to contribute to improve national health and to offer better service by reducing radial exposure. General projection and Fluoroscopy which are most difficult to be displayed in digital tend to change their way ; from analog to digital with development of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology, Introducing to CR system in 1994, SMC have displayed General projection and Fluoroscopy 100% in digital using CR system. This study searched differences between repeat rate, repeat type in the exam using Film/Screen and those in the exam using CR system. According to the analysis of repeat types and repeat rate of Film which was reused by using CR system in general projection room and Fluoroscopy room of SMC, we found that total 192,813 films were used and 2,097 films, 1.09% of total were reused. However, actual repeat covers 0.76% to 1,461 sheets with the exception of 636sheets. As above, display process using CR system is 0.76% much lower than general repeat rate 2$\sim$4% of Film/Screen exam. Besides decreased under/over exposure, it is appeared that position failure rate in repeat rate 0.76% covers relatively high 31%. Noticing that repeat caused unskilled devices handing was found many times, sufficient understanding seems to be required to reduce repeat.

  • The Kori Unit 1 will be decommissioned after a permanent shutdown in June 2017. South Korea has a 0.1 mSv/yr exposure limit standard for limited or unlimited site release. This is South Korea's first commercial NPP; therefore, if the containment building is reused as a memorial hall, it will contribute to the improvement of public understanding and enhance the public's acceptance of NPPs. Also, existing Kori Unit 1 nuclear power plant manpower resources can be reused after decommissioning and resident staff and memorial hall visitors can activate nearby commercial areas. Therefore, such a reuse scenario may also prevent an economic recession. The exposure dose was calculated using the following scenarios: worker in the containment building, visitor in the containment building, and worker in buildings other than the containment building. The exposure dose in the buildings was calculated by the RESRAD-BUILD developed by the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). The preliminary exposure dose and derived concentration guideline level (DCGL) were derived.

  • The software reuse is a prospective way to improve software productivity and quality but not applied very well in practice, because there is no quantitative metric for software quality. In this paper we proposed the quantification of the reuse of software that we can measure the possibility of the reuse by applying the reuse assessment metric to the module after the extraction of a module from existing software. For measuring the module that can be reused, we divided the factors of quality by the generality, simplicity, maintainability and modularity, and identified and measured the module by the factors and finally decided the possibility of the software reuse. The advantage of the proposed metric is that we can find the inappropriate reuse of module exactly at the beginning by measuring quantitatively the module to be reused.

  • The demands for the development of large scale software systems are being increased. Various software development methods have been introduced to meet these demands. The unit size of the codes that are reused is increasing in the development methods. These units reflect the concept of software reusability and can be identified as the object, component, and module. Recent trend in the development or a large scale software systems treats a commercial program as a unit to be reused. This approach lies along the same line as the identification of above three types of units. This paper shows how the above four types of units for enhancing the software reusability can be applied to the development of automatic graphic drawing System for a metal production.

  • Methanesulfonic acid (MSA) was used as catalyst to remove trace organic sulfur (thiophene) from Fluid Catalytic Cracking gasoline (FCC) via alkylation with olefins. The reactions were conducted in Erlenmeyer flask equipped with a water-bath under atmospheric pressure. The influence of the temperature, the reaction time, and the mass ration of MSA were investigated. After a 60 min reaction time at 343 K, the thiophene conversion of 98.7% was obtained with a mass ration of MSA to oil of 10%. The catalyst was reused without a reactivation treatment, and the thiophene conversion reached 92.9% at the third time. The method represents an environmentally benign route to desulfur, because MSA could easily be separated from the reaction mixture via decantation and it could be reused.

  • This paper proposes a reusable design for the merging process used in three-dimensional High Efficiency Video Coding (3D-HEVC), which can significantly reduce the implementation complexity by eliminating duplicated module redundancies. The majority of inter-prediction coding tools used in 3D-HEVC are utilized through a merge mode, whose extended merging process is based on built-in integration to completely wrap around the HEVC merging process. Consequently, the implementation complexity is unavoidably very high. To facilitate easy market implementation, the design of a legacy codec should be reused in an extended codec if possible. The proposed 3D-HEVC merging process is divided into the base merging process of reusing HEVC modules and reprocessing process of refining the existing processes that have been newly introduced or modified for 3D-HEVC. To create a reusable design, the causal and mutual dependencies between the newly added modules for 3D-HEVC and the reused HEVC modules are eliminated, and the ineffective methods are simplified. In an application of the proposed reusable design, the duplicated reimplementation of HEVC modules, which account for 50.7% of the 3D-HEVC merging process, can be eliminated while maintaining the same coding efficiency. The proposed method has been adopted as a normative coding tool in the 3D-HEVC international standard.

  • High-temperature components of gas turbine operated for certain period of time can be reused by being repaired or rejuvenated. In case of the gas turbine combustion liners, the biggest and the most important one in the high-temperature components, come in a repair shop after operated for 8,000 or 12,000 hours according to the model and go through the repair and rejuvenation in order to be reused. A stated combustion liner is the first channel which has the combustion gas reached a nozzle from a fuel nozzle. Materials and coating properties of old and new model combustion liners were investigated. To repair these components after the visual inspection, the coatings of combustion liners were removed and then FPI(Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection), a kind of the NDI(Non-Destructive Inspection), was conducted. Damage patterns and the number of the damaged components were classified and analyzed based on data provided from the visual inspection over a long period of time. Focusing on the difference between old model and new model combustion liners, we analyzed the damage distribution and changes and consequently concluded that new model combustion liner would increase repair rate.
